Your latest request for donations has evidently come with a forced upgrade which I did not authorise. I have been happily using an older version of TB because it supports my add-ons and themes. Now because of your uninvited intrusion they no longer work. Furthermore it seems that I can no longer download an older version that supports my requirements. NOT HAPPY!

Hi

My version of Thunderbird has just been updated automatically to 140.Oesr (32-bit)

I now cannot enter hyperlinks (Ctrl K) into emails.

The text appears in the email but it is not underlined.

I have also sent the emails to myself and the hyperlink is still not clickable in the received email.

I was able to enter hyperlinks in the previous version of Thunderbird.

I hope you have a solution because I use this facility frequently.

Thank you.

Could someone please tell me what the latest version of Thunderbird is on the Release Update Channel? I am on version 139.0.2, and when I check for updates in the app, it says that Thunderbird is up-to-date. Is version 140.0 not going to be available on the Release Update Channel?

Can anyone tell me, please, how long I should be able to keep accessing Firefox on a Windows 10 tablet after Microsoft withdraws support for Windows 10 later this year? I seem to remember being able to access the internet on an old laptop as a 'test' a year or two after I'd stopped using it after Microsoft stopped supporting whatever version of Windows was on it, but I can't remember whether it was via Firefox or Internet Explorer or some other Microsoft browser. If Firefox will still 'work' will Microsoft withdrawing support for Windows 10 have any effect on how well it 'works', and/or how secure etc it will be? I am going to try to install some sort of Linux on the tablet (well) before Microsoft abandons Windows, but if it turns out I can't install Linux, I'm hoping I should at least be able to access the internet via Firefox. Thanks to anyone who can help. (ps I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this question, it's just that performance and connectivity seemed to me [in my ignorance] to be most appropriate!)

Is there a summary of the key changes? Also, are there any significant performance enhancements or security updates that I should be aware of? I want to make sure I'm taking full advantage of the latest capabilities. Any insights would be appreciated! Let's discuss more about this!

W11 24H2

I just received an update to FF 137 and my userchrome.css which is set to show tabs BELOW the toolbars (i.e. a logical place above the relevant pages and not halfway up the toolbars etc.) has stopped working. Checked the toolkit.legacy etc and it's still enabled.

Any ideas to fix this are welcome.

I try to update Firefox once a month, but every 6 hours I am notified about the release of a new version, so I have to click Cancel. Is it possible to increase this interval (at least to 24 hours) or disable it altogether?

I tried changing settings "app.update.interval" and "app.update.background.interval" but it didn't help.

Greetings.

I am using an old Linux Mint version. I got messages that my Firefox needed to be updated.

I finally figured out how to do that and updated it. I started to use it. No problems.

However, the update did not change the default Firefox in the menu or on the taskbar panel below. If I click on them, I get the old version.

So when I restarted the computer, when I clicked on the Firefox shortcut icon in the lower taskbar I got the old version with the tabs that were on it. I had to go back into the Firefox file downloaded for the update in order to open the new version.

So, how do I get a working shortcut icon for the new version and get rid of the old version/icon?

Thanks.

Hello,

Moving from an older Ubuntu 18.04 machine where Firefox is limited to version 113 to a newer machine running Mint 22 where the current version is 134.

I know how to transfer the profiles but I could not find any information on compatibility.

Would I need to install other versions before 134 to handle any changes?

Thank you

I'm running Firefox browser 88.0 (64) bit, and have been trying since before Xmas to upgrade it to a newer version. It's installed on an older Dell laptop running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (which I've also tried repeatedly to upgrade without success).

I've tried to upgrade both through the UI, but also tried using the command line in Terminal. Per advice in other threads, I've found the best mirror site and changed my settings to use that, but still no luck. Even the preliminary "sudo apt update" via Terminal fails; the first error tells me that the public key is not available. I assume that's the place to start, but don't know how to correct it.

I'm up against the deadline for updating my browser, and would very much appreciate any help you can provide. (Please note that I'm posting from a newer computer, so automatically generated info about my system won't apply. See the screenshots for that info).
