I have a new macbook air running Sequoia 15.3.2, firefox is up to date, my battery which should technically last about 12 hours and I only get 5. Ran through everything with Apple and they said it is a Firefox issues. I don't have any extensions, add on etc. Thoughts?

Late last week I updated Firefox to the latest version. Ever since, I keep getting the same error message that I typed in the subject line. I've seen previous recommendations on how to correct it, but none of them work, probably because there's been more updates since what I've come across. I'm getting this error message on multiple sites, including my bank account and my business email account. I'm presently typing this on a different browser (Brave), because I was getting the same error trying to find answers using Firefox.

Any assistance would be appreciated; thanks.

I'm having issues with my Thunderbird. Although it has to check for new mail periodically it does not notify me on new email and do not show it in a mailbox until I hit "Get messages" button. And even after that I have to wait for several seconds. There's clearly something wrong but I cannot find what because I cannot find a connection log. Now I have to rely on mail notification daemon to tell me when I must open my Thunderbird and hit the button (to be clear I never exit T, it always runs minimized).

Recently I had a hard time trying to add Zoho account to T. It just didn't work no matter what settings I tried. Eventually I installed Claws Mail and found the root cause in the server response message. Unfortunately this method isn't applicable for the problem I described before - Claws logs can't tell my why Thunderbird doesn't check my mail when it has to.

So, is it possible to add connection log to Thunderbird (I can duplicate this to GitHub issue if necessary)? Or maybe there is one and I just didn't find it somehow (I know about devtool console - it's useless in this case)?

Hi, I am using the latest version of Thunderbird, connected to three Gmail accounts (two are POP3, one is IMAP). I usually load up thunderbird once a week to backup all emails from Gmail. The problem is when I click the get new mail button it only downloads emails in batches of 14 or 20. I have to keep clicking the get new mail button to download all the weeks emails. I cannot find any setting to change this behaviour. I just want thunderbird to download all emails in one go. Is this a Gmail issue or thunderbird issue? Thanks in advance

System: Linux/Fedora41 Firefox: 136.0.4 Monitor: Acer 27" 1920x1080

When I open a FF window, it opens full screen vertically and to some width horizontally, both dimensions not desired. My usual style (for the MANY years I have used FF and Linux) is to use a FF window that is NOT full screen in either dimension since I normally have multiple windows open simultaneously. This FF behavior has started just recently.

This behavior occurs when starting FF from the FF icon on the desktop, when opening a new window from the FF main menu, or when opening a new window via the 'Open Link in New Window". (Perhaps other ways as well: these are those I encountered.)

I have tried: .... Opening FF/resize window to desired size/close FF using 'Quit': no change on restart .... Deleting the xulstore.json in the profile folder/restarting FF: no change on restart

I would like to restore FF to its previous action: open new windows at the same size as the last one referenced. Can someone help?

With the latest update 136.01 whenever I click on any Thunderbird mail I get a popup screen that says "Thunderbird Email wants to access you Google account". The screen implies there is an "Allow" link that I should click on but none exists! Then the only way out of this screen is use the esc key. That takes me back to my Thunderbird mail but anything I try to initialises this pop up up screen again. So my email account is totally unusable. I installed Thunderbird 136.0.1 for Windows this week to use with my Gmail/Google account. I'm loving the way it works and the fact that it interfaces with the Google calendars (even the birthday calendar driven by Google contacts) well. The address book seems a bit more inconsistent with syncing/updating and I'm trying to gain an understanding of how that works. If I add a contact the the address book in Thunderbird, it shows up in the web interface in Google contacts. However, If I delete a contact in the web interface, that contact is not removed from the Thunderbird address book. Am I just not being patient enough for the syncing to take place?

Last night (9/23/2024), Thunderbird began presenting a screen (see attached) requiring me to sign in to contine to Mozilla Thunderbird Email. At the top of the screen is a "Sign in with Google" line. However, there is nowhere to sign into anything. My correct email is displayed but no entry for a password.

Clicking "Next" takes you to an Error 400 screen. There is no "Close" button and the only way out of the screen is to hit "Esc," which takes me to my Email account. After a short bit, the screen refreshes back to that " sign in to contine to Mozilla Thunderbird" screen. After one or two more uses of :Esc, I can get back control of my laptop.

Meanwhile, Thunderbird is frozen--mail doesn't update, and any attempt to use T-Bird returns me to the sign in cycle. Win 11; TB ver, 128.2.3esr (32-bit); server security imap.gmail.com, port 993, outgoing server smtp.google.com, authentication OAuth2. I've accepted cookies and javascript and closed my VPN. can't figure what to do next.

Two days ago, my Google calendar sync stopped working. I tried to add them again, but now, for a change, I can't see events at all, even though Thunderbird plugins theoretically got access to calendars. Should I wait for an update? Is this a global problem? How can I solve it?

Downloading emails works quickly as normal but reading opening or looking at emails (even ones downloaded weeks ago) is suddenly very slow. There is a pause before anything can be viewed even with a preview screen open.

Version is 128.7 0esr I use bitdefender - but that has never been a problem before Any ideas?

Thunderbird crashes after recent MS W10 updates. Caused by Bitdefender.

Thunderbird had never crashed before, but lately, after the last 2 Windows 10 updates within the last 2 weeks, it crashes. It's at 128.5.2esr, the next-to-last update.

It always crashes when I choose "About" and it starts downloading the update. It appears that it doesn't get the 1st byte before crashing. It will still say 0 bytes when it crashes.

It also crashes if I leave it running and the screen goes through the screen saver mode and turns black. Twice it crashed while I was using it.

I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I had 4,000 emails in my Inbox (is there a limit?), so I deleted many and moved many to folders. I now have just under 1,000 in my Inbox.

I also tried restarting in Troubleshoot Mode and updating, but it still crashed at 0 bytes downloaded.

Is there a way to manually download the update and apply it? I can't find it on the website.

The next thing I know to do is reinstall. Is there anything I can try before doing that? Would you suggest uninstall first or reinstall over what's here?

Since upgrading to thunderbird 128.6.0esr, my shared google calendars no longer show any events.

The activity manager shows it is stuck trying to sync, but not going anywhere.

Onn checking the developer logs, the following messages are displayed.

Anybody else having this problem or know of a solution. (I have removed "CALDAV" and "TB SYNC" extensions - also installed "TB SYNC 4")

Hi to all ! On a MacBook Pro under Sequoia 15.3.1 whenever I launch T'bd (128.8.0esr) it opens but accepts no command and the message screen is empty. The CPU usage is about 25%. Nothing else of importance runs on the computer. The same happens sometimes in the middle of a session. I removed Norton 360 just in case: no help. I could not correlate this behavior with any change I or the software updates did (it worked perfectly well until ~end 24). When I wait (15-30 min) and the messages finally appear. I tried killing an relaunching T'bd but it does not make much of a difference. Would someone have an idea where I could search to solve that? Thanks in advance for any help. Max.
