I just bought a new computer. How do I sync firefox on my old computer with firefox on my new computer. The same for thunderbird mail. Please help. I am not a computer genius. Dave Muran [edited email and phone# from public community support forum)

with the new function of Tab Groups i was wondering if it is possible, or can be added in the future, to sync existing Tab Groups to all or specific devices in order to access created groups on my private Macbook to my work Windows Firefox.

I am using duck duck go. I was backing up stored settings and accidentally re-installed google. I cannot get duck back in mozilla settings--It says duck is my default, but moz opens to google. oops and help Thank you, Elsie [edited email]

I accidentally disliked a thought-provoking story which involved the couple who died in the Lisbon funicular crash (as of Saturday 6th September 2025), which I think was addressed by The Independent.

Is it possible to reverse the dislike? The story does not seem to appear again, at least from what I have seen. Although the dislike was accidental, I felt that having the story disliked would indicate I would not be interested in thought-provoking stories about those who have died, even though these stories should be important to show.

I rebooted and launched FF, I was asked if I wanted to Refresh. Naturally I declined because I'm not an idiot. Now all my addons and passwords are gone. I would love to have them back since I never asked for them to be deleted. I don't have an "Old Firefox Data" or whatever folder on my desktop, would have been cool for them to leave that there when they clobbered years of data and customization because Firefox thinks they should have more control over my PC than I do, but they didn't. Is there any way to get these back?

I have just installed firefox on my new computer. I had firefox on my old computer and laptop that are both still running. It has pulled in a list of mostly obsolete accounts and passwords which are listed when I select "passwords" I did not ask firefox to do this. why has it done this. what else may it have done that I don't know about

I want to synch the bookmarks on my new Android phone to those on my old Android phone. Whenever I try to use this facility it seems to synch with my desktop, which I don't want. What am I doing wrong, please?

sorry - looks like my WiFi connection to the desktop was kicking in rather than pairing with the second phone. No need to respond to this query but I am not sure how to close it.

I updated firefox, and all my addons and sign ins are gone now. Search history and tabs remained intact. It also created a folder on my desktop, but I'm not sure how do I "extract" my old data from it.

Hi- I'm trying to setup two step in Microsoft Authenticator. I scan in the QR code from the Mozilla settings and that appears to work. However when I copy the generated code from the app and try to enter it back into the settings in my browser it tells me the code is wrong and thus I can't setup two step. I've tried loads of different authenticator apps and none seem to work. Can you help please? Thanks- Adrian.

Hi all. I recently had a terminal problem on my Win 10 computer so have bought a new Win 11 machine. I ran Firefox on the old Win 10, had 5 email accounts, had about 12 local folders and had my Profile stored in a folder on the desktop. The folder was moved there some years ago but don 't remember how I did it. I moved it there because this folder gets backed up every night.

So, I have managed to remove the HDD from my old machine and have located the 'old' profile folder. I now need to re-install Firefox on the new machine and match it up to my old profile folder (I think...)

Any advice on how to do that?

I just upgraded from an older computer OS to Windows 11. I imported my bookmarks but really hate the new look of the bookmarks bar in Win11. The icons are all generic and have no color. I've attached a screen shot illustrating.
