I just moved from Windows 10 to Linux Fedora Workstation and I used the "Back up and restore" option in the Sync Tab available in Firefox on Windows 10 to save my data in the form of a unique html file. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-backup)

But now that I'm in Firefox on Fedora, this option does not seem to be available (in the Sync tab in Settings). Is there any way I could at least recover my bookmarks ?

I'm using Firefox 147.0.1 from the official Federa repo.

Since accidentally deleting my current firefox profile, I have been experiencing a multitude of problems: Firstly, if it's possible to recover my profile file, that would fix all my problems. I currently have disk drill installed on my computer, so if there's any way to recover it please let me know. If that isn't possible, there are a few issues: 1: the top 3 buttons being shifted to the right (image 1 is what it looks like now, image 2 is what it used to be) 2: the color of the toolbar affected how other websites look(image 3) 3: all extensions being removed, though this was probably due to the deletion of the profiles

I had a ton of saved tabs and groupings of tabs. I closed what I thought was my only open Firefox window then downloaded and installed the most recent Windows update. When I rebooted, I did not realize I had left a Firefox window open with a single tab. That Firefox became my default and I lost all the tabs I had. Is there any way to get those tabs back? The tabs I had yesterday, 1/22/2026 are the ones I need.

I need a more permanent fix to the disappearing bookmarks issue when the file is in use by another entity. I have tried to fix it, read the instructions and when I start to apply the fix, the instructions disappear and now I have to depend on my faulty memory.

bold text'I am so fed up with these updates loosing my passwords and data, why ? All my settings are messed up and last time it took two weeks to get everything back, why? I give up total idiots for releasing updates that are sub par!

I have just replaced my PC after the old one decided not to connect to the net & performed a backup of just about everything. Tried to restore Firefox backup & it's asking for a password when I didn't create one! I've tried the Firefox sign in password but that was rejected - any ideas anyone? Thanks

My Bookmarks and History are completely gone. I tried the recommended procedure to restore them from a back-up, but the supposedly automatic back-up files are completely empty. I have no idea how this might have happened. I have tried disabling some of my anti-virus apps to no avail. The only thing I can think of is that I may inadvertantly erased them when I ran a CCleaner scan. I could really use some help here!

I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

Please tell me what to do to get the bookmarks back. Up to date Firefox: 147.01. Mac OS Sequoia: 15.5.

I had the Toolbar and Bookmarks Library yesterday. All are gone today. I have already spent much time reading on Mozilla site and Reddit. I will have to go to Safari and work from there.

I will check back periodically to see if I get any help.

I have enabled the option to open the previous windows and tabs. I had one window that I always closed last as it had a lot of groups that are important for my work, so it used to open every time I started Firefox. Sometimes, even if I closed the window by mistake without closing other windows, I was able to get it back by pressing ctrl+shift+n.

But yesterday, I might have closed it by mistake and when I pressed ctrl+shift+n , it didn't come back. I wasn't able to access my window and now it's all gone. I don't see anything in recently closed windows in history.

I need those tabs back as they are very important for my work. they were a lot of tabs. I had many groups but now all are gone. I tried by using the previous.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backup by renaming it in the default-release profile as sesstionstore.jsonlz4 but still wasn't able to access my window.

I didn't clear my history as the tabs opened in the window still show up in the history.

Kindly help as soon as possible

lost all bookmarks and can not add them back. tried the restarting, importing from Google, etc. Sadly I am off of Firefox after more than 20 years using it. Fortunately Google works fine for me, but I miss Firfox.
