When I want to send an email I don't get my receiver's saved email address on my mail start

I cannot sign in or send an email it continuously asks for my password

It does not save my sent emails THE whole thunderbird is gone crazy I havent done anything, I stopped paying now because you are not providing any services anylonger

recent pop-up when signing in to my mail acct. "sign in with google...sign in to continue to Mozilla thunderbird email" allows me to continue if i ignore it, but keeps coming back. also pops up if i attempt to add a task to calendar. suggestions? thank you

when I try to run Thunderbird it opens with my folders but the comes up with the message "Login to server imap.gmail.com with username scoteng1961@gmail.com failed." I exported my details then used the thunderbird uninstall program. then reinstalled it. but problem persists. What password is it asking for and how can I get a reminder of it or a chance to change it?

I copied both local Thunderbird file and roaming Thunderbird file, removed everything and reloaded Thunderbird Eclipse. I still cannot access the account on Yahoo mail.

new password for email has been accepted by the server host but not being recognized by Thunderbird.

IE: I can sign in to sprctrum.net but cannot add xxx@tampabay.rr.com email address to Thunderbird. I have gone to settings/passwords and first simply changed the existing password to a new one (the same as spectrum.net). Didn't work, then I deleted the whole account in passwords and tried to add it back in but still got this same message.

I open my email which is Thunderbird but when I try to sign in to Google they say "The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That's all we know."

I have downloaded the Thunderbird for Android app per the instructions for using a QR code. It seems to export and import properly, but nothing appears in the folders. I think this may be an issue with not entering a pin or password for the email accounts. I cannot find anything on any of the help sites that tells me how to open my email account on my phone and enter the password. I also downloaded and exported/imported Thunderbird for android to my Samsung tablet and it works fine. I did have to install it several times, but finally it worked. This is very frustrating. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I have used Thunderbird for several years for all my emails. About a month ago, I changed my password to my spectrum account. On Friday, Thunderbird started refusing to connect to charter. The message I get is "Login to server mobile.charter.net with username xxxxxxx@charter.net failed" with options to retry, enter new password or cancel. I enter the correct new password. I get the same request - until I cancel.

   The account is working at charter if I use their web-mail.  But I want to use Thunderbird to keep all my email accounts together.  
    I did call spectrum, and do have the port numbers from them.  But I do not know how or where to enter them.  Please help
  OH - in case it matters - this is on my laptop, and the internet is wired - not WIFI

I did have a version of Tbird on a laptop some couple of years back, maybe that is the confusion? Anyway was trying to set up a new separate version on this desktop. Whatever, User Name and Pswd I try I cant get an Acc and use the prog. All seems so hard and I'm old and unwell to boot thanks if you can get me sorted

This goes back to an issue dating back to version 132 and a previous issue.

Since version 132, if I go in and delete individual cookies via the "Settings", "Privacy and Security" "Cookies and Site Data" and "Manage Data", for any website I've visited, I am repeatedly asked to reenter my primary password. Even if the individual website cookies I delete are for websites that I do not have a password for.

Highly annoying and never used to happen until the version 132 update, and all subsequent updates.

Why does this happen and if it's intentional, is there some rationale for it?

I am trying to read my gmail email using Thunderbird. However, once I fill in the server configuration, I get a 2fa pop-up window with an error message. See attached.

What can I do to get this to work? Or is Thunderbird unable to access gmail?
