Когда я начинаю вводить запрос в строку поиска по центру страницы, ввод автоматически переносится в адресную строку. Я хочу, чтобы ввод текста происходил непосредственно в поле поиска по центру страницы.

I set the about:config settings when I got the new computer early last year. It's been working fine. Suddenly, searches are popping up again to the urlbar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is still set to false. Keyword.enabled is still set to false.

I see a couple of site references to browser.fixup.alternate.enabled, but it doesn't exist.

How do I get FF back to proper search in the search bar?

Suddenly I cannot search from the search bar. It defaults to the address bar. why "fix" something that was not broken. Being forced to use the address bar is frustrating. If you go directly to the address bar, it tells you it cannot find that site.

Previous solution: switch browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false does not work anymore.

Please help.

I had to actually sign up fort a Mozilla account,the multiple hoops I had to jump through were ridicules, in order to ask a question of Firefox. I do not want my address bar to be my search engine. How do I disable the search engine in my address bar? And now I have to wait for an answer!!!!!!!! I used to love and trust Firefox. Not anymore.

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . K.

on all New Tabs and too Windows the Weather-Functionality appears wrong. It appears absolutely impossible to change the Weather for the actually location - so it appears as you may delete that future in general

Since version 148.0b2 (64-bit), it's once again not possible to enter search terms in the search box of a new tab; instead, the browser searches in the address bar. I've had all the settings I found in the forums configured correctly for over five years, and they haven't changed. - browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = False. Despite this, the search still occurs in the address bar. Now I'm back to the awful search in the address bar. How can I fix this? Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

Ich habe alle Einstellungen, die ich in den Foren gefunden habe schon über 5 Jahre so eingestelle, sie sind auch nicht geändert. - browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = False. Trotzdem wird die Suche im Adressfeld geführt.

Jetzt geht es aber wieder mit der Schrecklichen suchen in der Adresszeile los. Wie kann ich dies ändern? Bitte diesen Fehler (Bug) schnellst möglich beheben.

When I logged in this morning my FireFox screen had changed. The window for searches had disappeared and the "pocket" selections were all about India and its events. None of the previous options were there. What happened and how do I get back to where things were?

I don't like to use the address bar to type searches. I like using the SEARCH BOX in Firefox's New Tab instead. But, with each update, I once again have to try to figure out how to set Firefox searches to be typed in the search box. Is there any way to set this so it doesn't get changed with every update?

Either removing certain ones I don't care about or getting ones back I may have already taken out?

I don't see either of those functions any more but I swear there was a way to do it just a month ago.

I used to have about 40 quick links, or bookmarks on my home page. I had pinned several. Others appeared according to how often I used them. The latest update deleted all but 3. I am very unhappy. How can I get rid of this update and bring back my quick links? I guess I will have to go back to Brave.

I set up my new tab (after the Home page which was Google News for my profile) to show shortcuts in four rows. Clicking on these shortcuts opened the URL for an account or webpage. I "pinned" or "dismissed' these shortcuts over time. Somehow, I lost every shortcut and cannot seem to figure out how to recreate this.

Usually there would be some shortcuts when I open new tab page. But they were gone on the new page from yesterday. Of course I didn't change setting and didn't install any add-ons. I disabled all add-ons. But problem not solved.

I checked 'preferences-home-Firefox home contents', but I cannot see any options(that area is just empty).

I also checked 'about:config' :

• browser.newtabpage.enabled → true
• browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.section.topstories → true
• browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.showSearch → true

And I compared between 'about:newtab' and 'about:blank'. I found something that background color of new page are different. There are some HTML code in 'about:newtab' when I use F12. But I don't know what is wrong with this.
