Recently the use of Ctrl+D to open the Edit Bookmark box (save bookmark) stopped working properly: On first press of Ctrl+D nothing happens, then if I press Ctrl+D a second time, the box appears??? The weird thing is that once the box appears with the second press, any subsequent use of Ctrl+D will work the way it should. Windows 11 with no new extensions etc.

Saving a bookmark to a specific folder has never worked in Firefox. Never!

Add bookmark > Location > Choose > search the specific folder > the scrollbar does not move down!

You can search (browse) the specific folder with the scroll wheel of the mouse, with the arrow key of the keyboard, you can slide the scrollbar up and down with the *very small* arrows on the scrollbar, but you cannot slide the scrollbar with the most essential and easiest way by moving it up and down with the mouse. By that I mean: clicking the scrollbar with the left mouse button and move it down and up.

THIS HAS NEVER WORKED IN FIREFOX. It works just randomly. Sometimes very rarely it works, usually it doesn't work. Why is that?

Firefox 147, Windows 11.

I am running Firefox 147.0 on Fredora KDE Version 42 and the problem has just started, when entering the two of the Bookmarks Toolbar Folders I can access any bookmark that is not is a folder but it cannot access any internal folder containing bookmarks. This has just started today and only affects two of the Bookmarks Toolbar Folders. any help will be gratefully received. Phil

bei Favoriten (alle Tabs) speichern fällt mir jetzt erst auf, dass die Tabs, die ich in Sammulungen zusammengestellt habe, nicht mit gespeichert sind. Dadurch sind jetzt nach einem massiven Absturz von Mozilla genau diese Tabs nicht zu finden, das habe ich beim Speichern nicht bemerkt. Kann ich da jetzt dennoch irgendwie drankommen? Über andere Wege, auch das Prozedere mit sessionstore/recovery, hat es nicht geklappt (und synch. mache ich bewusst nicht).

Für die Zukunft beim Abspeichern aller Tabs als Favriten - muss ich alle Sammlungen öffnen, damit es alle in den Ordner aufnimmt?

I find a website I like, I add to bookmarks, chose a location, add some tags and save.

Next I look for bookmark to verify it saved and it is not in folder it was saved into.

I open Bookmarks and search for this newly created bookmark and it is not in the correct location, it is in another folder, or past the folder in a tree that is not seen under the drop-down up under address bar, only through searching via Bookmarks. After I searched and I had found it, I chose open in folder, saw its position and dragged it to the folder and position I wanted it to be, then close the search, use the drop down folders in bookmark bar and not there. ??

Go back to Bookmark search, find it and it is shown to be where I last dragged it, but it is not there unless I search for it.

So not sure what is going on with bookmarks, but after saving they are not saved where I directed them to save and I am losing my bookmarks to some void in my bookmark manager.

I have a personal bar with folders. When I click on a link in a folder, the folder automatically closes and if I want to open another link in the same folder, I have to reopen the folder. Is there a way to leave the folder open like Edge and Opera do?

Lorsque j'essaie d'enregistrer une page dans un onglet, cliquer sur l'icône en forme d'étoile crée bien le lien, mais il s'affiche dans je ne sais quel onglet !!!. Il faut pourvoir le retrouver pour le mettre à la bonne place !!! Je souhaiterais pouvoir enregistrer la page où je le souhaite et créer un nouvel onglet au besoin.

When I try to save a page to a tab, clicking the star icon creates the link, but it opens in some unknown tab! I have to find it to put it in the right place! I would like to be able to save the page wherever I want and create a new tab if needed.

Suddenly, i am finding when i get to the end of my bookmarks and scroll up, the bottom most bookmarks show up. And scrolling down, as i reach the last bookmarks, the topmost bookmarks show up.

When I try to save a bookmark, or edit a bookmark the bookmark window comes up normally but then I try to change the save location it jumps to the left of the screen and does not allow location changes but closes out the window (not changes saved).

All of a sudden, through nothing I have done, ALL my bookmarks are gone. I CAN'T even bookmark anything either. What have you done. Until this is fixed I will not longer use Firefox.

Had trouble getting Bookmarks to look like I had on the old disk. I reinstalled the old disk and went to FireFox and downloaded the Bookmarks in a HTML file on a memory stick. Shut system down. Reinstall the new SSD disk and tried to "install" bookmarks under Manage Bookmarks, but I could not get the Bookmarks to show up on the space below the main Search HTML box. And my most recent websites found are now ABOVE the main Search HTML box. And ABOVE that is: "Get Support | Mozilla Support...... " It just all looks/feels different. I think in the old Firefox days, the line below was called Bookmarks Toolbar ? I can live with this, but I've spent 45 minutes trying to get 'the old way'. Now on that line below the main Search HTML box is also "Other Bookmarks", where I used to keep any site that was not on Bookmark Toolbar. Now this "Other Bookmarks" contains only one Tab called "FireFox Privacy", not any of my old "Other Bookmarks", that I thought I "Imported". I wish that my saved file that I "Export Bookmarks to a HTML.." did, when imported, that I would have been asked "Do you want your Imported Bookmarks to be installed exactly the way you had them when they were Exported?" Also I was on Linux Mint 22.2 on the first disk and also on Linux Mint 22.2 on my new SSD disk.

I used to go to bookmarks right click hit open in new tab and the bookmarks tab would stay so I could open more sites in separate tabs. Now when I hit open in new tab on a bookmark the bookmark tab closes so I have to keep opening it to open additional site?

I hover over bookmark folder, they expand, and the links the folder contains work. (Or) now 80 percent of the time, I hover over the bookmark folder, they don't expand, so I click on the folder to expand it, and 90 percent of the time, the links in the folder do nothing when clicked on. They won't even get highlighted, (selected) I restart firefox, and all works again, for about 10 seconds, and problem occurs again. It goes without saying it gets real frustrating restarting firefox over and over and over again to use another bookmark. I've never experienced this before. This only happens for me on firefox for Linux Mint 22.1. Firefox on windows 11 does not exhibit this problem. Please help, thanks. Cheers...

I cannot move or remove bookmarks on my laptop. The bookmark tool appears locked and does not allow it. Is there another way to move the bookmarks to bookmarks toolbar? My laptop is a MAD RYZEN 5 3500.

I have a pretty through bookmark system. I use folders a lot, and the little window that pops up presents too much confusion if there are a lot of folder already open from previous bookmarking. Is there a method to have bookmark manager open by default upon selecting the bookmark star and allow me to bookmark the current page? Is there a default setting that will open the small bookmark window with all folders closed? If not how do I go about making a suggestion to Mozilla to include this in their next upgrade.

My bookmarks are not being saved anymore. When I try creating a new bookmark, it often simply doesn't work. If I try in troubleshoot mode, it sometimes does, and sometimes doesn't, I have no idea why. Creating new folders, or moving bookmarks, or deleting existing bookmarks is also blocked. In the backup files, I can see the last successful saving of my bookmarks is a month ago, though I'm using Firefox on a daily basis and I can also see that, previously, saves where every couple of days.

I found a recent json file named "bookmarks" in C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\64cqek8b.default-release-1768329501903\weave\failed

The file content : {"ids":[]}

And nothing else.

There's also a squilte file named "bookmarks" in C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\64cqek8b.default-release-1768329501903\weave

The file is dated of today and its size is 1,47 Mo. Which, I believe, shows the data actually exists... but fails to save into json format for some reason.

I hope all needed informations are there, but please ask me if something is missing.
