I've tried methods on the internet to delete them from my calendar with no success. I'm sure there is a method, but no success in finding it. Please help! Hello! I have a calendar connected via DAVMail (Exchange Server 2019), everything works. But when I create an event in the calendar and start adding participants, autocomplete does not work (there is no list to choose from the address book).

I have an LDAP address book configured for Global Address List (GAL) exchange.

I also imported the address book to Cardbook via .vcf.

How do I set up autocomplete in the calendar? (When writing an email, autocomplete works)

I am using Thunderbird 138.0.2 (64-bit). I recently purchased a new Windows 11 computer. I installed Thunderbird on the new computer and copied all of my profile from the old Windows 10 computer to the new computer. When I set up an event in Calendar, Thunderbird no longer gives me reminders when I set up an event. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Thunderbird, tried using Troubleshoot Mode, and ran the Config Editor to check Calendar settings. Nothing has worked. I am still not getting reminders. I would appreciate any help with this problem. Thank you.

I’m using Thunderbird on a MacBook Air M1 2020 with 103 GB of free disk space and 8 GB memory. I’m using it primarily as a calendar and task management system because I like the reminder options in Thunderbird. I use local calendars. Thunderbird auto-updated to V 128.5.2 from V115.18.0 on 12/17/24 (I didn’t realize auto-update was set) and since then gets hung every time a reminder comes up and I either dismiss it or snooze it. I have to Force Quit Thunderbird to get the spinning beach ball to go away. I backup my computer weekly using Time Machine and tried restoring to 115.8.0, but was unable to restore my profile with my current calendar items on it. I got an error message saying that the new version of my profile (with my local calendars) is incompatible with Thunderbird V 115.8.0. Is there any way to get my current calendar info into an older version of Thunderbird, or better yet, create a fix so that it doesn’t get hung? If it's time for me to move to a different application for this use, just be honest. Thanks in advance for your advice and expertise!

Hi, my Thunderbird calendar reminders are coming up 4 hours after the meeting.

Running Kubuntu. System locale/timezone OK, TBird set to use system time (though manually making it the same didn't help). HW Clock matches system time. Pacific/Auckland.

Tried exporting all my appointments and re-importing them - no change.

I hope I can explain this well: Recently, many recurring events from Google Contacts, namely birthdays and anniversaries, now appear in Google Calendar as invitations from "Unknown Organizer <unknownorganizer@calendar.google.com>" that I have accepted (but I have not.) These events keep triggering pop-up notifications. Those notifications do not respond to the Dismiss or Snooze buttons - they do nothing. I can dismiss the dialog box with the upper-right [X], but the pop up gain every time the calendar re-syncs. I try to edit the properties of the event, but the changes do not take. When I look at Google Calendar directly with my browser, these events do not show up, only the proper ones that are listed in my Birthdays calendar.

Why did this happen, and how can I fix this. The un-dismissable notifications make Thunderbird Calendar unusable. I find many similar (but not necessarily identical) complaints going back years, but no actual solutions.

Hi, I have a strange experience with thunderbird's calendar: an hour or two after i created a new appointment in my calendar, i cannot change this appointment anymore. When i do so, this appointment is not saved anymore when i click on "save & close". When i alter and save this appointment within the hour it works normally and the item is saved as expected. I searched the settings, but nothing could be found concerning this issue. My OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS. Thank you very much for your efforts. Wyl. Holland.

Hello @all: I run TB 128 on up to date Archlinux with gdm. I want to publish one of my TB calendars to a network volume to which a group of people will have consult access. For that the sequence of step is:

  1. Click Events and Tasks.
  2. Click Publish.
  3. Click the calendar you want to publish, and click OK. (A small window appears with a url field to complete)
  4. Enter your WebDAV url.

The issue is when I enter the WebDAV url. My url for the particular (already existing) directory I want to publish to is:

   davs://b2drop.mydomain/remote.php/webdav/Calendars/

Trial 1 I enter the above url in the appropriate field of the small window and .... nothing happens. I cannot click the "Publish" button in the small url field window, because it is grayed out. Trial 2 I tried to modify the URL so the publish button would become active. That happened when using:

   https://b2drop.mydomain/remote.php/webdav/Calendars/

In that case the username and password are requested. I enter them and I get an error message:

"Error: Publishing the calendar file failed. Status code: 401: Unauthorized"

Trial 3 I go to my remote b2drop.domain volume and secure the actual link that point to the still empty directory, copy-paste it as

   https://b2drop.domain/index.php/s/sCHzHY95kPEC4Gi

in the url field, click Publish, ... and nothing happens.

I am probably missing something basic. Any pointer anyone ?

I have my google calendar integrated into Thunderbird using the native integration. When I receive an email invite, I would like to click the Accept button and add the event to the google calendar not the native Thunderbird calendar "Home". I can't figure out how to do this. I've looked through all the settings and properties boxes I can find.

As a second question, is it possible to move or copy an event from the native calendar to the Google calendar? I can't figure out how to do that either.

When I create a calendar event, it will not show up in the calendar view (Month), even after trying several times. What I found is, it will only show up on the calendar if I uncheck the Notify Attendees box at the bottom, which is by default always checked. After I uncheck the Notify attendees box on an event, that event, and each successive event will then show up on the calendar, regardless if I have the Notify attendees box checked or unchecked. I looked to see if I can uncheck this box in Settings, but do not see where this can be done.

Is there a way to have the Notify attendees box unchecked by default when I create a new calendar event?

I have added my calendar to Thunderbird and it is syncing with Google but when I add a new event it only allows me to set one notification time. I have a standard notification of 30 minutes before something happens and in Google I can add additional notifications like a day before or a week before. I don't see that I can do that when I create the event in Thunderbird. Need to create all of my calendar events in my Google calendar?

In the past week or so (since the holidays, perhaps), meeting invites I am getting are not converting the time correctly. I can make it work by manually editing the ics file and changing the first TZID from America/Chicago to US/Central I. The screen SHOWS the correct time (image atached) , but it imports as it the time was UTC

If the DTSTART and DTEND are set to US/Central it doesn't work. The issue is it would seem that the user is creating these with the webmail version of Rackspace email, which he has done for YEARS with no issue. Did something change as of recent that would make this format no longer work?

I have to export every one of his meeting invites (and several other people not using rackspace) and make that change at the top to make this import correctly.

In Thunderbird 128.8.1esr (32-bit) Danish language version, on Windows 10, when a list of past notifications pops up, I cannot close them. Whether I use "Turn off" individual notifications one by one, or "Turn all off", nothing happens, except the first time I try, I can see at the bottom left of the screen that communication takes place with the server. But the notification doesn't disappear. On following attempts, nothing happens at all, until I restart Thunderbird, then again I get a long list of notifications from the past that have never been turned off.

As for individual notifications popping up at the scheduled time, I can mostly, but not always, turn them off.

The calendars are no google servers. The problem started occurring 2-3 months ago.

What to do?

I am trying to create a personal calendar as a checklist for chores. Is it possible to make a list of tasks without adding a time to each task? When I try to print the calendar, the time stamp takes a lot of space and is unnecessary for my purposes. Also, I have added birthdays/anniversaries/holidays to my calendar, and these also require an unnecessary time stamp. Is there a way to add these without an associated time?
