I recently installed openSUSE TW on my new laptop, and as part of the default Firefox install it bookmarked many openSUSE websites. I removed them from my bookmarks, but they still remain in the address bar recommendations every time I click/open the address bar (see pic). I have cleared the all time history, I have double checked to make sure that they are no longer bookmarked, and the only way I can get them to disappear is by completely disabling "Shortcuts" in Settings -> Address Bar — Firefox Suggest -> Shortcuts => Untick. I'd prefer being able to just click the address bar and click on the websites I frequently visit. This has happened in the past, but I thought I just removed them from the bookmarks and the links went away. Any help greatly appreciated!

I'm hoping that you folks can provide that ID.
Thanks!
The home content suddenly doesn't show anything, I tried to reinstall the Firefox and go troubleshooting mode but it didn't help.

I often need to have Firefox open on half my screen and another doc open on the other half.
Every time I click the 'minimise' button on the top right of my Firefox screen, it freezes then crashes. I have to close it, reopen it, and then it will minimise. This has been happening for months.
Any ideas?

When using Firefox, Facebook recently began insisting that I use a second device to obtain permission to log into my Facebook account. This is relatively new, and Edge still lets me log in without issue. How can I make Firefox return to the easier login system?

I just want to stop a piece of my own history from being shown on "Firefox Suggestion", which was made with a firefox browser on my previous device and is relatively private.(I know I can do this by modifying "Search Suggestions->Show search suggestions ahead of browsing history in address bar results", but I would like to preserve the function itself). That device is permanently unapproachable, and so is that browser. I tried "Clear recent history -> Everything", but it didn't work as expected and that is still shown. I think clear all my history(not only those made on this currently used device) may help, how can I do it?

Firefox 123.0.1 W10 Pro.
Recent refresh of Firefox, suggested by Mozilla, due to some HTTP conflict.
Refresh created a new profile and backed up/saved old profile. Now can not get auto login or auto fill to work. Will not stay logged in when leaving a page.
Can I remove the new profile and use the old one?

I'm using Firefox on Windows 11.
Frequently, copy-and-paste quits working.
I restart the browser and refresh the browser; sometimes it starts working, but most of the time it doesn't.
Restarting my computer seems to restore the functionality.
This has been going on for a few months now. Using version 123.0.1 (64-bit).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Just recently been getting yahoo search engine results to open in new tabs rather than the same tab. I have searched for other users that have the same problem and have done the tracking protection thing and deleted cookies, but nothing helped. Also tried Troubleshooting Mode and it still persists. Any other ideas that may help? I'd appreciate it.

For a couple of months, I've been getting the error message "This page isn't redirecting properly" whenever I use Firefox. The problem doesn't seem to happen when I'm clicking on a bookmark, a saved link in Firefox's history, or a Google search result, but it happens almost every time when there is some sort of redirect involved (for example, from a link in an email newsletter to the linked website, or from a login/authentication page to the website's main page). This used to clear up after hitting "Try again" four or five times, but this week it's become stuck in an infinite loop, making some websites unusable.
I've tried the following: - Clearing cookies and cache for specific websites - Clearing cookies and cache for the entire browser - Starting Firefox in troubleshooting mode to see if the problem is with a specific extension - Deleting Firefox entirely and redownloading it - Deleting the cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal files and restoring from a manual backup as per this answer (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1403719)
None of those have fixed the problem. Does anyone have any other ideas of what to do here? I am frustrated and out of ideas.

I have pinned various shortcuts in the New tab to link to websites I frequently use. I use two different laptops and both are configured the same. However the New tab randomly clears the pinned shortcuts. I have attached two screenshots illustrating the changes.
I'm not aware of anything I do that caused the shortcuts to be deleted. When they are pinned I think they should be there permanently.

In Chromium you can go a page backward or forward by swiping one finger to the left or right. This works really well. I have been missing this feature in Firefox for years now. Without it navigation in the browser is tedious on Linux tablets or phones.
Is something similar ever going to be implemented?

Hi there,
I've been having an issue lately where random text I've written is being inserted into other areas of my paragraphs in online text blocks. This mainly happens when I hop between paragraphs and try to edit content.
IE: If I wrote this statement and went back to correct something above, this sentence would "somehow" get added into the spot where I'm editing. It makes NO sense and is only happening within Firefox. Is there a way to fix it? I've noticed this happening on both Facebook and Indeed now too...so, I think it could be more of an issue with Firefox than certain sites.
The image is an example of the text being added in and reinserted. Thanks in advance for the help!
