I was using Mozilla Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy s20+ without any issues. I have transferred all data from my old one to new one, Samsung Galaxy S24 after this migration Mozilla Firefox crashes, when I was forwarded from an app.

Standard browser: Mozilla Firefox I have already reinstalled the Mozilla. This action works properly with other browsers.

After updating Firefox for Android, my phone started rebooting after downloading any file. This makes it very difficult to use the browser and I had to use Chrome temporarily. The Crashes tab in About Firefox is empty. Ever since my IPad updated to iOS 17 I have had issues with Firefox crashing. I currently have iOS17.2 which fixed some other issues but not this issue. When it crashes and I go back in it will ask if I want to restore tabs, if I say no, then I get a new clean tab. However, the next time it crashes (which it will) and it asks to restore tabs, it restores tabs from the first time it crashed, not the current tabs I was on. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still crashes. And when I say it crashes it does it extensively, every time I go on Firefox. I’m sorry I don’t know the version of Firefox I have nor the operating system.

History tab view shows an image of tab value but does nothing when a tab is selected, opens a blank pane. Click-hold on tab thumbnail causes browser to crash. IOS Firefox current versions. iPhone SE 3rd gen.

I am posting this issue at the request of E from Firefox's app developer feedback after I submitted an app review.

The app continues to be unstable on my Pixel 6a (latest OS, Android 13) after freezing up on what appears to be any heavily scrolled pages or those that create a heavy cache. This freezing then causes abrupt phone restarts shortly thereafter, but not always immediately. Usually the culprit seems to be linked to Facebook album viewing, Imgur albums with article-length descriptions, etc. The abrupt phone restarting occurs whether force stopping Firefox and clearing the cache right away or not (although the restarts seem to happen faster if I force stop the app). I have simply closed the app during the freeze, put my phone down, and come back minutes or hours later to it having restarted on its own.

In addition, open tabs have a tendency to lose their scroll spots on a non-infinitely-scrolling page (e.g. an article not requiring expanding) when the app is minimized but not closed. This is probably unrelated(?) and isn't as critical as the spontaneous restarts, however.

It looks like many Pixel 6a users have had this issue, although those support threads from 8-9 months ago have now been archived. Someone else mentioned scripts from the websites themselves may be to blame? Would be curious to hear of any specific fixes. Thanks!

I am getting a frequent freeze in the Android app and then shortly after a crash. Info: - happens on FF, FF Beta, and FF Nightly,and reinstall/phone reset didn't fix. - Samsung Galaxy SM-G965U running Android 10. - every error starts with java.lang.OutofMemoryError. - it never happens just on startup, just on auto fill, or some of the similar crash reports I've seen around here. - it does appear to be site-specific, but sometimes the site works and sometimes it does not: if I close the last tab after a crash, it will usually work for awhile. - Sync and disabling Add-ons doesnt fix it, although perhaps its worse with uBlock Origin enabled (not conclusively)

I have the latest version of Firefox (121.0 - 36782) on iOS 17.2 on iPad.

When I close the last remaining tab, Firefox crashes. When I open it again it asks if I would like to reopen the tab. I have been using Firefox on iPad for a while but this has been happening for several weeks. It is happening regardless of the website. It doesn't happen every time but very often.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I have sync on (bookmarks and history but not open tabs).

I keep getting the attached message when I sign into my bank. This just started yesterday (9/4/24), but when I sign in with another browser I don't have a problem?

Constantly crashes with the latest 3 updates. Not sure if it's on your end or the providing web sites not knowinghow to program for Android phones.

    Too many non standard screen resolutions out there for each phone???

Woke up today and ipad crashes each time i try to go to a webpage in Firefox. Worked fine last night. ios14.1, can’t upgrade this ipad now. Have deleted and re-installed Firefox multiple times, rebooted ipad, can’t even access Troubleshoot mode bc it immediately crashes and closes Firefox. Please help.

When attempting to enter full screen mode on Firefox for Android, and to get into landscape mode, the browser appears to crash, keeps audio playing, and "entering full screen mode" dialogue pops up. Have to open Firefox again, and can only be viewed in landscape mode while session is continued. To return to non-landscape mode, the app needs to be force stopped, otherwise you only get to see the left one third side of any web page you navigate to. Seems to have started with most recent update. Is there any way to fix?

Firefox has been crashing my phone for a while now. It finally was able to generate a crash log. Can someone take a look at the log and see what might be causing it? Thanks.

I've told to report technical issues on this website.

I've noticed an issue with Firefox iOS where, if Firefox silently crashes and I open a new tab by doing a long press on the iOS home screen, then selecting New Tab, Firefox only opens that new tab and does not restore the previous session and all previously loaded tabs are gone.

That has happened to me multiple times now and I've had to then try and figure out which tabs I had open by going through the browser history, which is pretty annoying.

To prevent that, I'm pretty much not using the long press > new tab functionality at all anymore and instead I open the app first, then open a new tab. Sometimes, I'll open the app, and if the app crashes, THEN I'm asked if I want to restore the session. Then I have to make sure to not accidentally press NO cause it seems there's no way to get that session back afterwards.

I would suggest a few ideas to prevent this issue: - please offer a setting to auto-restore previous sessions after a crash, instead of asking - alternatively, if pressing NO, or opening a new tab from the homescreen with a long press, offer a way to restore a previous session somewhere on the new tab page

Hello everyone

I'm at a loss. FF for iOS (iPhone 7) keeps crashing every few days (no other apps have similar problems). It then asks to restore tabs from the last session, which mostly works, but every few weeks, all tabs are lost (about 20..50 total). In history menu, open tabs from last session is greyed out. When the tabs are are lost, they're also instantly purged from FF sync. >:(

I'd love to use FF on iPhone, since I'm using FF sync extensively and successfully on multiple PCs. But on iPhone, FF only causes me pain and suffering (i.e. the need to comb through months of history in the hopes of catching all lost tabs). Is there anything I can do that FF on this platform gets more reliable?

It seems, the more connected we get, the more data we lose. :(

For months now, Firefox Mobile has constantly been getting "app has stopped responding" crashes and even hard crashes (multiple times per day) for Pixel users. There's already a bug report about it but the FF team's response is that they aren't going to do anything. They claim it's an issue with the kernel but no other apps / browsers on the Pixel have this problem.

This is beyond pathetic. Maybe this not-my-problem mentality is why Firefox has reduced to less than 1% penetration.

Sometimes whenever i use twitter it will crash and stop working everytime i switch a other tab it glitches and stays on the tab i switched from, and it would also black out and make the tab unusable.

I've had this problem of on my iPhone 14 Mac Firefox (now v113.2 where )tabs are taking long to delete and they freeze once I try to. After waiting awhile, anywhere up to 30 seconds or more, they either finally delete, but still slow or the app crashes and that seems to make the deletions fast, like they originally used to be. I've seen that other people seem to have this problem and I just wondered if a solution for this has finally been found?
