I want youtube to go back to the list of websites on the url drop down menu. I'm annoyed that Heroforge replaced it after only two visits to the website and I don't know why it even did that.

How to remove google search from the address bar on the right?????

I want to find my most visited websites in the address bar without any unnecessary actions!!!

Hello Mozilla, How do I permanently remove Google Trending Search from Firefox? May I ask: Please do not make such changes without obvious explicit warning? This is a time consuming nightmare. Regards Andrew

The title says it all. I use Firefox on my home computer with Windows 10, and my work laptop using Windows 11. At home, URLs do not autocomplete when typing them in--settings are all on for this to work properly, and it used to work properly, but it does not work at all. At work, URLs complete just fine.

When I open a new tab on Android as of a few weeks ago there are no suggestions, except to swap to a previous tab with a similar name to what's in the address bar. If I hit the search drop down to the left of the address bar or hit enter in the tab and retry typing suggestions appear. See attached images for reference.

When a system-wide VPN application (not built into Firefox) is enabled, the behavior of the address bar changes: on the first click, it only shows 5 sites (Top Sites), instead of the usual 9. After pressing the Spacebar, the list from browsing history loads normally. The problem persists after turning off the VPN and only disappears after a full restart of Firefox. Hi! I recently had to reinstall Firefox. Logged into the same Mozilla account I've been using for several years, with pretty much the same config files I've been using since I switched to Linux, and suddenly--for the first time in at least a year--Firefox has (again) started trying to "fix" searches I put into the address bar that aren't prefaced with a search engine. How do I turn this off? (For example, if I go to the address bar and type in "cats" I get directed to a page like the first attached screenshot. If I type in "@google cats" I get directed to the second attached screenshot...)

I'm pretty sure I've disabled everything in prefs.js that relates to that. Um. Feature? But clearly I haven't been able to disable it yet! So.

I have Firefox, then suddenly it switched over to Google.... a little google icon has appeared in the search window ... it drives me crazy... I have google news (absolute BS). How can I permanently remove google from my PC and LIFE? Please help...

My Firefox is not showing search suggestions/autocomplete when I search for a term in the search bar. First screenshot is what I see, second screenshot is from Chrome. Third screenshot is my settings.

I would like to continue using Firefox, but this is extremely infuriating.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Open new tab 2. Start entering something into the search bar

Expected behavior: suggestions from the current search engine are displayed Actual result: only Firefox suggestions are displayed

Note: after tapping SE selection button and selecting a search engine (including the current one), the suggestions appear as expected

So, I configured the suggestions in the search bar so that nothing from my history/previous searches is displayed (see attached image with current settings). However, suggestions from my past searches still continue to appear. I would like only the autocomplete suggestions from my search engine to appear (I'm using Kagi). I already tried to delete my browsing history (Crtl + Shift + Delete - Everything, browsing and download history), it deleted everything but my past searches... Can somebody help me?

Ever since the recent UI revamp, search does not show suggestions. I confirmed they are enabled in settings. I tried restarting my phone, using other search providers (Google and duck duck go), and stacking trending results, all to no avail.

When I type map into address bar, maps.app.goo.gl becomes the autofill. I'd want to delete it. However, shift-delete does not take effect. I checked history and did not find it.

How can I delete it?

I'm really hoping this is just a simple case of did you turn it off then on again, but for the longest time Firefox Mobile on iOS has this weird glitch where my old deleted bookmarks still continue to appear auto-filling the remainder of what's being typed in?

Say you type 'hum' in the search bar, the remaining portion gets automatically filled to something like 'humanesociety.com' pops up from the word typed that's related to the deleted bookmark.

What's even more puzzling is that search suggestions has always been disabled on all my devices logged into to my account. So Firefox syncing can't be the culprit either as everything reflects accurately up to date whether on mobile or desktop.

I suspected maybe clearing up everything in Data Management (i.e. cookies, cache, browsing history, etc.) would prove effective, but still no dice.

There's got to be some fix to finally put an end to these bookmarks back from the grave haunting the search bar. Maybe I'm overlooking something?

In the search bar (I’m not sure about its official name), my previous searches used to appear as suggestions before Google’s own suggestions. However, since I changed my default search engine from Google US to Google UK, it no longer seems to remember the searches I make. I’ve tried switching back to Google US, but that didn’t restore the behavior. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

For example, I previously searched for “things to see in Latvia”, which is why it appears as a suggestion in the screenshot. But if I now search for “things to see in Louvre Museum” and then try the same search again a few hours or days later, it isn’t saved and therefore doesn’t appear as a suggestion.

"Magically" started working again for unknown reasons.

Up until this morning I could enter calculations in the search bar or the address bar and get an answer without hitting "Enter". Why has this stopped working?

FF 146.0.1 LM 21.3, Bitwarden, Ublock Origin and Dark Reader extensions active.

Edit: browser.urlbar.suggest.calculator is set to TRUE.

With the latest update, some of the shortcuts that appear when I click on the address bar have changed. Now several of them are for websites that I don't use on a regular basis. Is there any way to remove them? Is there any way to add back shortcuts for sites that I do use on a regular basis?
