Do you know of a mod that won't allow Youtube to have a resolution higher than 720p, including when embedded? I almost-always have Youtube at 480p when watching through their site. I noticed that when watching a video on another site and that it's embedding Youtube, that the resolution is higher > 480p and in those cases it's not rare to be > 720p.

I'd like a mod or setting so that when it's active that Youtube can't have a resolution higher than 720p, including when embedded. Any idea if there's something alike?

Thank you kindly for your help

I've read that the incidence of a web page removing basic browser elements like the address box and ellipsis menu from the UI is called 'stripping.' I'm not sure if that term is accurate, but the phenomenon I just described is occurring more often on my Firefox Android browser. The obvious navigational disadvantages of that arrangement are joined by an inability to save page-specific shortcuts to my phone's screen. The query 'stripping' in this Help Community's search box provided no useful results, so I'm asking here if there's anything I can do in my settings (or by any other means) to block websites from forcing that behavior upon my Android browser?

I'm using linux mint up to date 68.0.52, Firefox version 134.0.2 (64 bits) often when I open a local file, having the Panel process browse consola open, I get the the error: TypeError: this.toolbarButtons is undefined toolbox.js:4265:5 So I'm unable to see the web developer toolbar and just see a blank section on the lower part of my screen. I think it's a bug, or Am I doing something wrong? Best regards: Alejandro.

Hi,

I have a dual monitor setup and quite often and randomly, when I launch the browser it opens on the secondary monitor instead of the primary, which is the one I always use. Firefox is up to date: 135.0 (64-bit)

I've read somewhere that I have to move the browser to the primary monitor, resize it so that it is not fully expanded and close. After opening it again it opens on the primary screen and I can maximize it and close again, but when I open the browser again the next day it may open on the secondary screen again... or not, just a very random thing. Any clue?

Thanks, Pere

Since the last update from Firefox on my phone when I play videos and use my ear buds a cracking sound can be heard when people speak in the videos. This doesn't happen when I play videos through other apps like VLC.

I tested with YouTube in the browser and different websites, they all have the cracking sound.

Is this a known issue?

i want to look through ad pictures on ebay but firefox keeps stopping me opening new pictures for the same ad, if i open an ad initially it lets me view each picture then it starts blocking them, so that i can only view the main picture, its really annoying and i'll have to stop using firefox if it continues because it makes buying on ebay impossible and it's also doing similar things on other sites, i've reset the advanced tracking to standard and added an exemption for ebay but its still doing it ?????

Part of the problem is the actual web design of the Copilot website itself, and the other part of the problem is the 135.0 version of Firefox.

Unfortunately, by default, when you open the Copilot website it does not open the home page, instead it opens as https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/ *insert random bunch of numbers and letters here*

For example the Copilot website can open as: https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/AcGUzo3i36EDksXWgi8v7, or https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/j7dpCJXTMDKZydZnCkAut, or https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/FARyH9xrbWd1LkkSmXPrC, or https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/aGX4tbeUwkaZ9RVP1CxBm, etc etc.

So it's the '/chats/*insert random bunch of numbers and letters here*' part of the URL dynamically changes every time you open the Copilot website or if you refresh the Copilot website page.

Using the 134.0.2 version, when I entered the Copilot website via https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/ *insert random bunch of numbers and letters here* I could click the back button and it would take me back to the home page which is: 'https://copilot.microsoft.com' but with the 135.0 version, due to what I suspect is caused by this feature introduced in the 135.0 version:

Firefox now includes safeguards to prevent sites from abusing the history API by generating excessive history entries, which can make navigating with the back and forward buttons difficult by cluttering the history. This intervention ensures that such entries, unless interacted with by the user, are skipped when using the back and forward buttons.

I can no longer click on the back button to go back to the home page - 'https://copilot.microsoft.com'.

I can still click the Copilot icon 'Go to home' button element which does take me back to the home page 'https://copilot.microsoft.com', but clicking the actual back button to go to: 'https://copilot.microsoft.com' (which was achievable on the 134.0.2 version), was much more convenient.

I can confirm that this is a problem with the 135.0 version of Firefox because not only was this problem not happening with the 134.0.2 version of Firefox, but the problem also does not happen with Brave or Edge either.

Using Brave or Edge I can navigate to https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/https://copilot.microsoft.com/chats/ *insert random bunch of numbers and letters here* and they enable me to click the back button which proceeds to take me back to the home page which is 'https://copilot.microsoft.com'.
