How do I prevent MSN from opening Firefox? I am not interested in just blocking the site or a page, I want to block Microsoft from opening software that doesn't even belong to them.

I have downloaded additional dictionaries to spell check when I'm writing in other languages on the firefox browser, yet I am unable to switch to those dictionaries. I've tried multiple. I have cleared caches. I have restarted. I have installed and uninstalled. I have the latest version.

They simply do not work. I work in multiple languages and would love to continue to use Firefox has my default browser.

When I send an email using Gmail, Firefox stores a copy in "Sent Mail", another copy in "Sent", and another copy in "All mail" . Why is this and how can I stop this? Or how can I delete two of the duplicated storage locations? Thank you

Hello! I am developing a web server, from which users can download large files. These files take a few seconds to generate, and cannot be generated ahead-of-time; only when a user requests them. The server therefore responds to such requests by first sending the HTTP response headers (without "Content-Length"), which can be written immediately, then generating the file, and sending the generated file as the response body.

In Chromium, this leads to the "Save As..." dialog appearing instantly, so the file can be generated & downloaded in the background while the user picks a location.

In Firefox (v132, linux x64), the "Save As..." dialog waits for the file to be generated before appearing, which is not user-friendly. During deeper testing, I discovered that Firefox appears to wait for my server to send at least 1 byte of data from the file (in the response body, after sending the HTTP response headers), before the "Save As..." dialog appears.

I have searched the Firefox settings and documentation but did not find anything that would explain this behavior. Is this a bug?

Hello I installed Windows some time ago, after that when I installed Firefox and added my account to it, none of my data was there, even though I had backed up a lot of passwords, bookmarks and add-ons. Now I have to check if I have any data. Syncing is not happening. Please check my account and help me recover my data.

We are running Roaming Profiles from our Active Directory architecture. It seems that a lot of files happen to have too long path&filename for example :

Do you have any idea to configure Mozilla so we keep it able to handle these filename length ?

We cant use wildcard in exclusions so we cant exclude whats in a subfolder of each profile. It's not supported by ActiveDirectory GPO.

I wanted to use DoH (dnsforge.de) under “maximum protection”, but with one exception: I would like Ecosia.org to be able to place ads for me, because I am convinced of Ecosia and want to support this project. Tested this with Cloudflare as well, setting up an exception here does not work either.

Now the exception set in Firefox has no effect. It should not be due to the DNS provider, because Ecosia.org is not blocked and has even been whitelisted.

What is the expected behavior of the “maximum protection” setting?

Hello Mozilla, I have a Lenovo G700 laptop with the WINDOWS 7 Pro operating system My browser is Firefox 115.19.0 (see file Firefox.jpg) During the security check in online banking I am told that the browser is out of date (see firefox2.jpg) But I can only update the version and it says "Firefox is up to date" What's wrong with that?

Hi there, I just got a new work laptop and tried to sync my firefox browsers so I could keep my passwords and bookmarks from my old laptop. Unfortunately I forgot my password, so I had to reset it on my new device. I logged in again on my old laptop but it's still not syncing or updating the bookmarks on the new laptop. Is there any way to move my bookmarks and passwords over to my new laptop? Thanks!

I seem to have found a fake Firefox phishing website. The content of the website is in Chinese and it is included in Google search.

The fake websites are cn-firefox.com and www.firefsioix.com, I hope the community members can confirm the website information.

Over the last few weeks, it feels like this browser is doing updates almost every day on my pc and laptop. After done updating i lose all my cookies, logging me out of all my accounts, dark modes and settings. This is my final attempt before swapping browsers.
