I changed my password on e-mail provider server. Mail works fine via browser, but i can't send and obtain any e-mails via Thunderbird. I have changed password but it doesn't work. Piotr

Hello, I clear my history, cookies etc quite often. However, this also clears my master password and I have to reenter it. Is there a way to clear all the junk but stay signed in with the master password? I have attached an image of how I have it configured. Thank you

Whenever I sign in to sync my browser it keeps asking me to sign in again to reconnect to sync.

I've tried reinstalling the browser, deleting the Mozilla directory in %APPDATA% and reinstalling, removing account and signing in again.

No matter what I do I keep getting asked to sign in again to reconnect even though the initial sign in was successful.

I changed my Google account password just today. I have used Thunderbird on PC for Gmail without issues for years. I went into Thunderbird Saved Passwords and changed the appropriate line to the new Gmail password. I restarted Thunderbird and tried to send a test e-mail. I kept getting "Login to account Google Mail failed" with a box of 3 options, Retry, Enter New Password or Cancel. When I click on either Retry or Enter New Password, it doesn't give me a chance to enter a password and goes immediately into the same "Login to account Google Mail failed" box with the 3 options. I searched and read the support and one of the option is to remove the line from Saved Passwords and re-create it. I did that and tried to send another test e-mail. Now I'm still not getting a chance to enter a new password. I keep getting the box with the 3 options which doesn't allow me to enter a new password. There isn't a new entry in the Saved Passwords.

Strange thing is Thunderbird is receiving new e-mails fine. I'm just not able to send.

Bonjour je n'arrive plus à accéder à ma boite mail à l'ouverture il m'est demandé mon mot de passe , je l'ai oublié quand je suis la procédure pour afficher mon mot de passe, il m'est demandé un code confidentiel que je ne connais pas, comment puis je faire? je n'arrive pas à trouver ou le reinitaliser. et lorsque je tente d'accéder à la messagerie j'ai un message suivant: "echec de la connexion à imap.sfr.fr avec cet utilisateur" je n'avais jamais eu de problèmes jusqu'à aujourd'hui Puis je supprimer le compte de messagerie et le recréer ensuite? mes dossiers locaux et archives seront ils conservés ou perdus? Since the latest update a Yahoo Mail sign-in keeps popping up...sometimes two different versions. It's driving me nuts. Should I uninstall/reinstall Thunderbird. It's so frequent for no apparent reason that I may have to give up Thunderbird and many, many years of use...and donations. thx, deanna

I just installed Thunderbird and wanted to use it for my old gmail and my current icloud emails, however, while the gmail one logs in fine, each time I try to log in with my icloud email with the correct password it says "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration username or password.". Am I doing something wrong?

Until yesterday, I had no issues accessing my Yahoo account. However, all of a sudden, the Yahoo login popup has started appearing.

After entering the password, I get the error: "Something went wrong. We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device."

I checked and tried following:

• The authentication method is set to OAuth2.
• Cookies are enabled in settings
• Tried Yahoo account password and app one time password
• Deleted account in Thunderbird and created from scratch. The same login popup appears but fails the same.
• Deleted all cookies from yahoo in the "Show cookies" dialog in the setting.

Any help is appreciated.

Problem It prompts "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password" when adding Gmail on my Thunderbird on Manjaro Linux. My Google account has 2FA and Authenticator enabled.

No google webpage asking for login popped out. (but Microsoft's webpage did popped out and asked me to do 2FA when adding an outlook account).

Tried to add and use "Google app passwords" but it didn't work for me.

All other of my emails worked well including outlook and several others.

Thunderbird info: 128.7.0esr (64-bit) Mozilla Thunderbird for Manjaro LinuxManjaro - 1.0 On KDE Plasma 6 Wayland session

How do I update the SMPT server password in Thunderbird. Updated IMAP pw and system receives email fine. Cannot send messages, "Outgoing server (SMTP) error". SMPT password needs update.

The password that was accepted to log into Thunderbird now isn't accepting that password anymore, and when I try to send my father email, it givesves error message. It says, "Sending message from michael.moon@austin.rr.com has failed". Now it doesn't give me a prompt to log into Thunderbird.

For years I used Thunderbird to process my Earthlink emails. Thunderbird suddenly stopped accepting my Earthlink password, which I repeatedly tried and reset. Is something wrong with my Thunderbird settings? Mac IOS 13.7.1

I use Firefox as my primary browser. I have always been able to sign in with Google Nest without any problem. I always entered my user name and then my password and I would be logged into my Nest account.

But now I click on my Google account (https://home.nest.com/login/) and then I click on Nest/Sign in/Sign in with Google. Then I just loop around between the two Google pages.

This started a few days ago. I can't figure it out so now I use Chrome or Safari. But I'd much rather use Firefox. Any ideas? Any help is very much appreciated.

I have had two Gmail accounts on Tbird for about a year with no problems. Now I get unpredictable or no results trying to send or receive messages from the newer account. A message mentioning unsuccessful server authentification is the most common. "we have sent your message but not mentioned it in the "sent" folder due to connectivity problems" also occurs. I have absolutely no problem on iOS mail or Tbird running on MacOS. To the extent that I can decipher the iOS settings, there is no difference.

In attempts to continue reading New York Times, I have faced a problem of not being able to change the primary email which has changed to be [email hidden]@gmail.com (instead of having the end as jyu.fi)
