With Gmail open in Firefox browser, when I start typing the name of the addressee in the TO field, many addressees will not autocomplete, even though they are properly saved in my Gmail contacts list. I looked for common solution for this ... and found: use different browser. I did, and MS Edge works just fine. Is there a setting in Firefox that will fix this?

The subject line says it, really: though "Restore previous session" is still ticked in Options, a reboot presented me with just my homepage tabs. Is this, as I hope, an inadvertent bug or a design decision?

I'm using a desktop PC running Windows 7. Many thanks.

Dear Sir/Madam

I use your Thunderbird email software which i find very, very good, useful and helpful. But sometimes the software ask me to clean up email, deleting from hard drive deleted emails to get more space. Its ok and good, but in my opinion it should be done more clearly. I'm really afraid of deleting, missing my emails and i don't know what has been done after cleanig. There should be some feedback, text message where i can read what has been done, which emails has beed deleted. I thing it's very important.

Best regards Maciek

I have an Acer Chromebook laptop. I am on a website trying to upload videos. When I use the Firefox browser and try to upload from my Google Drive, all of my folders are there but none of my pictures or videos are in the folders. But, if I go back to the Chrome browser, and use the Google Drive, all of my content appears in the folders in the Google Drive as it should be. Why will the pictures in my folders in the Google Drive not work with the firefox browser?

Of necessity this is going to be a bit lengthy. I've posted this issue on the comcast/xfinity support forum and so far no one has come up with an answer.

I should emphasize that we (wife & I) have had our email accounts with comcast for over 20 years. We've been using Thunderbird for most of those years. All updates have been automatic. I have a Lenovo desktop PC and an Asus laptop. My wife has an identical Asus laptop. We have a TP-Link Archer C7 wireless router and a Motorola modem, both of which have been in use for several years. Both laptops access the web via wifi, the Lenovo is hardwired.

A few days ago Thunderbird stopped downloading incoming messages on my Lenovo. I tell it to get messages and it says "connected to mail.comcast.net" for a lengthy period, then pops up the message "Connection to server.mail.comcast.net has timed out." I have rebooted the computer, modem, and router several times. I have checked to make sure I have the latest version of Thunderbird. The server settings in Thunderbird are the same as they have been since we started using it. Oh, and I can send emails via my Comcast account just fine. If I access my xfinity account via my browser I have the same issue, it times out while trying to access the inbox.

My wife's email account piggybacks on mine. She can access her emails on her laptop with no issues. I can access my emails on my laptop with no issues. I can also access my xfinity inbox via my browser without issue on my laptop. I again emphasize the server settings in Thunderbird are exactly the same for all three computers, have not changed since forever, yet one stopped working. Port has always been 110. It's been suggested I try port 993 and 995. I did. Neither worked, so it's back to 110. To reiterate, both laptops are and have been using port 110 all along with no issues. The desktop is the problem child.

Now to throw a wrench in the works, I set up my Outlook account on my Lenovo to access my comcast email. It works fine. Both laptops work, so that should rule out a problem with either the modem or router. My Outlook account on the desktop works, so that should rule out a hardware problem with the desktop. I'm guessing it also makes it hard to blame antivirus (Microsoft's own) or ad/cookie blockers, all of which I've been using for ages.

There were several others in the xfinity support thread who were experiencing the same issue with Thunderbird at around the same time, so I know I'm not alone. I've tried to cover all the bases in this post but please ask if I have missed something. I cannot understand why, of three systems using identically set up T-bird, one suddenly quit. I hope someone here has the cure!

Hello,

My Firefox routinely shuts down while I'm using my 2018 Macbook Pro, and the problem began when I updated my IOS to Big Sur This is a systemic problem with non-native apps ever since installing Big Sur. Apple won't address the problem unless I confirm that my non-native apps are compatible with Big Sur. Can you please confirm the most updated version of the Firefox Browser is compatible with Apple's Big Sur IOS? Can you also let me know if other users have experienced problems and if there is any fix?

A recent Firefox update has totally disrupted our ability to print from browser windows. There used to be a "Print Preview" button that allowed us to set things up the way we wanted them. That's now missing. As a result, stuff that used to cost us for ten pages now costs us for twenty pages. Also, when we print double-sided, the second side prints upside down.

This strikes me and my wife as a horrible development, and we would like to go back to the old version ASAP!

Hi, how can I open a local html file with firefox 86 on android 9? It's like firefox no longer registers itself as a valid program/association to open html files.

What I've tried so far: 1) If I type file:/// in the URL bar, nothing happens. It works on Opera. 2) If I go to a file manager, select an html file, and click "Open with", firefox doesn't show up; Chrome and Opera do. 3) If I go to the android settings > applications > firefox > associations, firefox shows no associated file types at all.

The HTML language isn't only used on the Internet, it's also used for local documents, please allow us to use firefox to view our local html files.
