Before installing the 16.0.1 update, I had one particular tab group open, out of several that I maintain for different projects. (I could switch freely between tab groups in FF 15.) After the install, the Tab Groups Button does not open the Panorama view when clicked, nor does the drop-down command next to it move the view to Panorama, nor does the keyboard shortcut work. I've re-started FF twice, which did nothing to fix the problem.

hi, i updated firefox today to 16.0.1 and the forward and back buttons are always greyed out, it doesn't matter how many times i navigate to a new page, they never become active. also, the open in new window right click option does not work either, it will open a new window without the url of the link i clicked on and just displays a blank page. it seems that open in new tab is still usually functional though.

i am on a macbook pro running mac osx 10.8.2 and i also tried upgrading to the firefox 17 beta to see if that would fix it and it did not resolve any of the problems.

please help!

Firefox opens normally and runs properly -- until I close all its windows. When zero windows are present, and I return to Firefox and ask for a new window, Firefox hangs. To resolve the problem I must Force Quit the app, which generates a crash report to Apple. Occasionally Firefox has crashed on its own and generated a crash report to Mozilla, but this is rare. I have tried disabling all add-ons, but that had no effect.

As long as there is at least one Firefox window open, the app functions normally. This problem only occurs when going from zero windows to one window.

After a few days of using Aurora, I noticed a button on my toolbar. When I clicked it it said "Welcome to MoTown" Is this something being implemented into Aurora or something else?

The main css file of Mozilla Hacks is not loading properly _for_me_. https://hacks.mozilla.org/wp-content/themes/Hacks2010/style.css

According to Firebug its status is 304 not modified. But when you visit the url of the css file directly Firefox says:

File not found

Firefox can't find the file at https://hacks.mozilla.org/wp-content/themes/Hacks2010/style.css.

- Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors. - Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

Other browsers load this css file without any problem.

I have since updated to Aurora 18.0a2 (2012-10-15) and Aurora 18.0a2 (2012-10-16) but I still have this problem.

I am using Fireforx 17.0 for Mac. for any webpage, press back/return button doesn't back to the early page. Even using the hot key, still doesn't work. It works in the earlier versions.

When I open a new tab in Firefox 16.0.1 the focus is on the address bar for a second or so then the focus moves to the search input field. If I start typing something the first character fills in the address bar then the rest is typed into the search field.

How do I get the focus to remain in the address bar as per previous versions please?

can connect to any other server and have connected to easycareinc.com some month ago. have emailed easy Care Hoof Boot about the problem, and they suggest 'to delete the chache' and try again. I do not know how to do this om my macbook air, and I do not think this is the problem since I connect whitout any problem to any other server ...

bold textI used Sync to migrate an extensive store of Firefox bookmarks from family PC to my new Mac. Worked perfectly; however, I notice that now it is still syncing, and I see my husband's search history each time I click '+' for a blank tab. I only wanted the bookmarks, etc. to sync ONCE to get them to the new machine. How do I STOP / SEVER the syncing of the two machines now? It seems to be doing it automatically without my clicking "Sync Now" (Tools>>Sync Now). We have our own machines now & I don't want his bookmarks or history on my Firefox. His machine: Windows7 Professional, Firefox 15.0.1 My machine: Mac OS X 10.8, Firefox 15.0.1

Today the 1 Password icon is missing from my menu bar. I went to the 1 Password help and tried to download the Firefox extension that would put the icon back in the menu bar. The extension would not download. The message explained that the extension was not compatible with the version of Firefox (14.0.1) that I have on my computer.

I changed my settings so that the awesome bar only suggests my bookmarks. However, it still is suggesting history (and items that are not in my bookmarks). I've deleted my history multiple times, but websites that I have only visited once are being autocompleted when I type one letter into the awesome bar.

I get the following error:

An error occurred during a connection to www.tumblr.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

None of the other browsers have any problems opening this website.

I am a novice user and I really love firefox, but can't use it since it won't open one of my favorite websites.

For a while now, Firefox has had automatic keyboard shortcuts for both Quick Find (/) and Quick Find for links only (,). I like those shortcuts. Using the forward slash and comma keys for these features suits me fine.

However, now even the back slash key (\) is activating Quick Find. That means both forward slash AND black slash activate this search feature.

Is this a bug? Why would I want multiple keyboard shortcuts for the same feature? It seems like Firefox is taking up all my keys. Anyone else notice this?

When you drag a tab off one window in firefox to start a new window, this new window appreas without a 'proper' tab - that means there's no way to drag the tab back if you want to re-merge it with the original window. It also means that when you click on the + in the new window to create a second tab, it just overwrites the original tab (and URL) so you lose it completely. FF used to do this all fine befor the last upgraged

The User-Agent string is "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0"

Why does the User-Agent string not say "16.0.2" instead of "16.0"? I know that if I follow a different update channel (like aurora, etc.), I'll get a shortened version-number in my UA string, but since I'm on the "release" update channel, I figured that when I got 16.0.2 the UA string would say "16.0.2".

Note that I've never tried to forge my UA string nor do I have any plug-ins that I can imagine would mutate the UA string.

I am trying to learn how to create my own Website by following instructions on a book that I have. It was written in 2005 and it looks like a lot have changed since then. Many of the book's examples are based on Mozilla Composer. Do you still have Mozilla Composer or has it been substituted with something else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I've posted this question under the wrong category.

Forefox 16.0.2 on MAC OSX 10.8.2 with most current Adobe Shockwave Flash will not open You Tube videos. Photo of video shows, it seems to load, but then nothing happens. I have gone through all the suggestions on your site and spent a great deal of time and still cannot reach a solution. This is very maddening, as much as I love Firefox.
