I have 3 devices connected to Mozilla account, 2 smartphones and 1 PC and NONE of them are syncing properly, bookmarks sync perfectly and everything else fails miserably. Some part of history does sync but nowhere near the full history. Syncing of open tabs is *completely* broken.

I just bought a new PC, part by part, and used my storage devices from my old PC. I formatted the windows drive and am on a fresh installation of windows 11. I tried to log in to my mozilla account, but couldn't remember my password so I used the "Forgot password" function. When I logged in, no bookmarks or history was saved. Is it possible to restore my synced data?

I synced my data today in mozilla and after that i reinstalled windows on my PC. now i installed fresh mozilla and logged in into my account but my data is not synced... i lost a lot of open tabs,bookmarks etc... what can i do? is synced version still somewhere or what? i did everything as i supposed to do but i cant see my previous open tabs and bookmarks..

I've installed FF on new computers a few times in the past year and I've noticed that it never syncs the Search settings (things like default search engine, adding StartPage, etc.). Is that by design? Is there a way to make them sync?

Solved, there is delay of 15 minutes before password appear on other device.

I've labelled this thread as (dec 2025) as there is a lot of issues dating back to years ago so this is mark it down just as a fresh review of the issue.

The only thing I'm looking from a browser is to sync Passwords between Phone and Desktop and for whatever reason Firefox is not doing it. Absolutley nothing gets synced even though both windows 10 and Android browsers have been sync manually with all of the options to be synced.

I've followed all the others people checks of settings, account login etc. and I'm just giving up for now.

I had to have my laptop serviced. When it came back, I downloaded Firefox and logged into my account. Usually, all bookmarks and passwords would load back up, since they were bound to my account. Unfortunately, this time after had synchronization finished, none of my data was present. It's as if my whole account was wiped. The only thing I did was change my password. How can I restore everything?

Hi, i synced everything, in your browser, checked it few times, i had all my bookmarks from chrome to firefox few months ago, reinstalled windows, downloaded firefox and connected to account its clean, no of my information is there, wtf? i forgot the password, so recovered it. Give back my data for fuck sake, or it was mistake comming from chrome to firefox?

I have about a dozen computers synced to Firefox. The Bookmarks go nuts when an older seldom used machine powers up. I spend days cleaning out my bookmarks only to have old ones come roaring back. I have began manually backing my bookmarks up to a hard drive. Firefox has failed me. I wish to delete all, or some of the backed up bookmark files.

How do I do that!!! I've spent hours over weeks online trying to stop this madness. Can I wipe out all the files by deleting any of the three "places.sqlite files? Is there a way to selectively kill the very large files that keep coming back and keep the other recent backups?

Does someone sell a pay to play bookmark manager similar to Foxmarks / xmarks?

The 2-year-old support page "View synced tabs from other devices" gives 2 methods for syncing all your tabs from one Windoze FF to another. Neither one does anything at all for me now. The "right-click on the device in the sidebar" sounded SO promising, but it does not cause anything at all to happen. And checking the "sync tabs" box does indeed make them all show up in the sidebar list, but does not open anything. So besides clicking on each of the hundreds of tabs listed, how can I do this, or is it just another FF functionality lost to time?

Hello, my old laptop broke. I bought a new one, installed Firefox, and signed into my Firefox account. My add-ons synced, but my passwords and bookmarks are gone. I can't access the old laptop now. Is there a way to fix this without a backup file? Or are add-ons the most I can get? Both devices have been added to the devices in the Firefox account.

The subject says it all. The "tabs from other devices" are a) Shown as a long flat list of links, not in their individual tabs, which is disappointing b) right click does nothing - doesn't open them as advertised

I cannot syncronise my phone with my laptop wich would be really useful for me. Thats one of the main reasons I prefer Mozilla as my primary browser. So far I had no problem with it on my other deviceis and so I hope this can be solved.

I've recently upgraded from an a34 to an a56, both phones running the same build of Firefox, both signed into my account however the old phone can see the tabs of my laptop and the new phone, the new phone can't see anything. I'd like to be able to port the tabs over ideally.

Also of note is the tab view is totally different between the two phones in layout too.

I'm at a loss as to how I can painlessly move over the tabs.

I'm recovering an older Firefox Sync Account. I can login on https://accounts.firefox.com. My password is valid. I cannot login within Firefox (activating Sync). It simply does not continue - After entering the E-Mail-Address and clicking the Button "Sign up or sign in". The browser network debug show no (obvious) communication error.

Please advise.

Hello. I reinstalled my computer and downloaded Mozilla again. How can I find out what profile I was using before the reinstallation, because nothing has been synchronized in my pana@mail.bg profile at the moment?

My account won't sync my old passwords and browser history. I recently reinstalled windows and when I tried to sign in to my mozilla account my data wasn't there.

I have a profil i didn't use since 22 days because computer issues

I need to retrieve ALL my tabs from this device For some issues i could'nt to it all before.

Now, i can see in my firefox profil pge, the profil exist. But if i go to my firefox installed in my new computer, i don't see THIS firefox device with ALL my VERY IMPORTANT tabs.

Is there any way to retrieve them ?
