Since the update to Firefox 146.0.1. on December 20th 2025, I cannot save any new bookmarks or organize the existing ones. I used CCleaner 7 but uninstalled it because there seemed to be a problem. But that hasn't changed anything for me. When I checked the integrity of Places Database, this is what I got:

Existing Firefox Desktop user with Mozilla account (which lets me sync bookmarks across several Desktop devices.) New Firefox Android (version 143.0.2) user, logged in with Mozilla account, Desktop bookmarks are accessible now on the Android Firefox installation.

Problem: I'd like keep the folder in which my bookmarks (synced from Desktop --- the folder shows up on Android Firefox as Bookmarks > Desktop Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar > (a set of folders I have on Desktop firefox containing my bookmarks) open after launching a web site from a bookmark stored there.

Observation: Currently after launching a web site from bookmark stored in the above folder, the navigation I made to reach my bookmark folder of choice is no longer open, so I need to repeat the navigation process from the start to get to my bookmark folder (that was synced from Firefox Desktop.)

Alternately: I'd like copy selected bookmarks from my (large) library of bookmarks (synced from Firefox Desktop) onto the home page of Android Firefox but do not see how to do this (I can edit the bookmark where it currently resides on the Android Firefox installation, but I don't see how to make a duplicate copy on the Android Firefox home page listing (and I don't want to delete the existing bookmark(s) on the Android Firefox installation.)

It looks like now Firefox bookmarks every page I visit. This is not right! I only want to bookmark pages I explicity request to be bookmarked. How can we fix this?

Just bought my new Acer Lap Top Downloaded Firefox on it. Trying to bookmark some of my sites. It first let me bookmark them. Now they have all disappeared and it will no longer let me bookmark anything. Can anyone please help me?

Hello, I’m currently having an issue with Mozilla Firefox.

It says it’s impossible to "bookmark this page" either via the icon or the keyboard shortcut CTRL+D. Additionally, I can’t create folders to sort my existing bookmarks, and I can’t add a bookmark to the personal toolbar. It feels like everything is locked. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and I’ve removed all my extensions, but the problems persist.

Current Mozilla Firefox version: 146.0.1 (64-bit)

In Windows the favorites are able to be placed into a hierarchy from a menu that drops out from the side of the star, save favorites icon. This makes it so much easier to see saved favorites in an order and can be set up to create a usable timeline of current favorites or specific folders for new, personal, interests etc. Also simple to retrieve and open the right bookmark. In Mac, unless I really name a favorite very specifically, chances of finding it ever again is slim. The search feature is always very helpful. Will this feature be added to Firefox for Mac?

This has gone on for years now and never seems to get fixed.

Bookmarks within a folder will randomly change order. Most will stay in place, but a few of the latest ones I added, which were at the bottom, will suddenly jump to the top.

Where sis my bookmarks go. I don't have time to screw around with hunting it down. It was here yesterday. Today it is gone. I've tried to restart, I've tried help, I've tried all the list of things but the bookmark on the header thingy has disappeared.

I own three laptops and they are in my Firefox account and synced. I have several bookmarks for site I frequently visit. On two laptops, based on my settings, when I tap a bookmark it opens up in its own tab. This is how I want these to function. For some reason, my third laptop does not behave in this manner. The new bookmark opens up on the tab I am currently in. It gets bumped and the new bookmark opens. This is exactly how I do not want it to perform. What is going on? Also, when I set up settings doesn't it work for all my laptops since I am signed in?

When I choose to bookmark a website, I am no longer offered a chance to save to where I want it saved.

So, now I have to bookmark a page, and open the bookmark menu again to EDIT the bookmark to move it. This is Horrible. I have to do this eachj time I bookmark a page. I am veriy organized and have dozens of bookmark folder, some with folders within folders... etc.

Onliy children need to be treated this way.

I have searched the settings and find nothing. I am not using any add-on that has anything to do with bookmark. I do not use the bookmark toolbars or other bookmark interfaces. Just the file/edit... menu "bookmarks" option.,

Has this ability been removed?

I would like to report an issue with bookmark management on Firefox for mobile.

On my phone, when I search for bookmarks using the bookmark search feature, I am unable to select multiple bookmarks at the same time (for example, by long-pressing or using multi-select). This makes it difficult to manage or delete several bookmarks at once.

This issue does not occur on Firefox Desktop, where multiple bookmark selection works as expected. The problem appears to be limited to the mobile version only.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Firefox on a phone. 2. Go to Bookmarks. 3. Use the search bar to find bookmarks. 4. Try to select multiple bookmarks.

Expected behavior: Ability to select multiple bookmarks in search results on mobile.

Actual behavior: Only one bookmark can be selected at a time.

Still not always saving a page to my selected folder. However, if after clicking the "Star", I first select the location "Show your bookmarks", then to back to to selecting the folder into which I wish to save the page, it will then put that page into the folder of my choice. What settings do I need to have in place so that I do not have to do this double step to get the system to save a page in my selected folder? Let me know if I should just start over, uninstall Fire Fox, I have saved all my book marks and exported in the two formats, then reinstall the program. Thanks in advance for any solution. JJE
