Hello, I've installed Thunderbolt and added my Outlook account. However, none of the folders I created in Outlook have been copied over. Only the standard built-in folders e.g inbox, junk, sent etc were setup in Thunderbolt with all the mail from the other folders in the inbox. This is not very helpful.

How do I set up the Thunderbolt account so that the folders (and contents) are matched with the folders (and contents) in Outlook? Thanks

Everything was working fine till we lost power yesterday. I used my iPhone as a Hot Spot to get emails, but couldn't send them. Power back and our server, but still not able to send emails. I have tried setting up a new security key and deleted my email account and rebuilt it with no change. Very frustrating! I need to be able to send emails out. Soon! Attached are the messages I get. Nothing works. Window 11 Pro

I can no longer access Thunderbird emails or send emails. I tried doing a New Account, but get a "can't find" error message. I closed down my computer and took out the battery, I deleted and reloaded Thunderbird, I did my manual settings, I did the New Account settings repeatedly, and I tried the Thunderbird look up. Nothing gets my email back. Everything else works on my computer as it should. Gmail works and my link to my IP gets me email through their site. I can't send or receive at all, and my previous emails are now gone.

The attached image shows the error message I get when I try to run Thunderbird. This has been the case for several months, and all of the suggestions I've found online have failed to make any difference at all.

It seems this must be a fairly common error with other software, but within Mozilla's help menus I could find only one thread of two messages that addressed it at all, with no solution offered.

I'm running Windows 11, and have had no problems with Thunderbird until this one.

I hope someone can offer a solution that works for me.

I am attempting to install Thunderbird on a new laptop and move personal folders from old to new PC. The installation process finds my email address and ISP information but fails with incorrect password.

Steps - 1. enter user name 2. enter email address 3. install finds correct ISP information 4. accept ISP information without changes 5. enter email password 6. process popup say incorrect user name, ISP info or password 7. login to ATT.NET successfully which indicates to me that the userid and password are correct for email account.

what other information could I supply to assist with problem resolution? I do not know what to do next.

I am running on the latest Windows 11, Thunderbird 138.0.1 and I am on the release update channel. I am using a google email and the inbox only has 430 messages. I notice one day this message popped up:

The folder 'Inbox/USPS on jeterry3@gmail.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

I have 630 gb free on this drive. There were only 2 emails in that folder I do not know what or where to look as this just started up. I have done a "Repair Folder" Thoughts where to go next? Thanks!

I have Version 128.5.2esr (64-bit), it says it is up to date.

So I've been noticing a couple of days now that I can no longer view messages in the message pane to the right of the screen. When I click on an email in the list on the left, the top of the pane on the right shows me the To, From, subject etc, as well as a yellow bar saying "Warning: To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message." Then, nothing underneath this. Where it used to show the email contents. I do NOT want to have to double click every single email in my inbox to look at them in a separate tab. Most of what I get is not useful. I want to be able to click once and preview the email, then click Down to check the next one, and on and on the same as Thunderbird did it LAST WEEK.

Can someone help me get it back to working please? Thanks!

I am trying to Login to Gmail. I keep getting the message "server imap.gmail.com with username xxxx@gmail.com failed."and options Retry, EnterNew Password, Cancel I've entered New Password numerous times.

Also, previously when I used Thunderbird with the same account, Thunderbird did recreate the same folder structures/folders as I have setup in Gmail. How do I sync the folder and files to be the same?

Hello; Windows 10 & current version of Thunderbird. I am trying to add Messages Filters to filter out spam (getting more and more of that!) but the "OK" button on the add message filter is below the bottom of the screen. The window cannot be raised or resized to make the button visible. Photo below. Moving window does not allow me to raise window above top of screen. Keyboard (Alt-Enter) / Move will not work. Changed windows screen size just makes window larger but button still below bottom of screen.

Non-functional work around. Highlight Message name. Press Shift-Tab TWICE. Press ENTER. UGLY!

Tech since DOS 3.0
