I've recently started migrating to Thunderbird after relying on Gmail's web client for a long time, and an issue I'm running into is that it's missing a bunch of contacts after syncing, including all contacts with my own name. This is a practical issue as I send email to myself a lot, both between my accounts and to the same account as a form of task management.

I have a primary contact entry representing my @gmail.com address itself, which also has a couple other personal non-gmail addresses merged into it, as well as about half a dozen contacts created for my addresses at former employers, university accounts, etc. Not a single one of them has synced, and they don't seem to have anything in common other than bearing my name. Contacts for other people sharing my forename also don't seem to have synced, and neither has as a contact representing another former work email that wasn't named, but included my name in the address itself.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why these would all be skipped. They don't seem to have any other special characteristic. I haven't, thus far, found other contacts not synced, but with over 200 entries on the list, I might well have missed them.

Starting Friday April 19, I have been experiencing constant very brief internet outages/reconnections while using Facebook on the desktop. The outages do not occur anywhere else on the internet...and do not occur on other browsers. I prefer to use Firefox. I am using Windows 11.

I logged in my email account via thunderbird yesterday 04/16/2024, and all the emails retrieved since 03/16/2024, it looks like only 1 month emails retrieved. My email account set up on 02/27/2024, but I don't get all the emails from 03/15/2024 to 02/27/2024. I used pop - hwhzpop.qiye.163.com 995 and smtp- hwhzsmtp.qiye.163.com 465 to log in Foxmail server successful, and pop-pop.qiye.163.com 995 and smtp- smtp.qiye.163.com 465 to login outlook server successful. Could you help me to fix this issue? attached screenshot is the 1st email of 03/16/2024 retrieved.

I am setting up thunderbird on a new computer running Ubuntu 23.04. I can successfully connect to my gmail account in thunderbird but I cannot add a comcast gmail account. I get an error message

"Could not get OAuth2 details for hostname=imap.comcast.net"

I am using the correct username and password. I can connect to the comcast email account on this same computer through my web browser. I would like to be able to continue to use thunderbird for all my email accounts.

Can anybody tell me what to look at to resolve this problem?

For some time now, Firefox has been unable to display quotes on Yahoo Finance; for example:

The space where the price history graph for MSFT should be is blank except for a message saying "Loading chart for MSFT". The chart never loads. Sometimes Firefox issues a message saying that the site is "slowing down Firefox".

This happens for *any* quote, no matter what the ticker symbol.

I have tried running Firefox with a new profile, running in a private window, and running in Troubleshooting mode; the behavior remains the same. Clearing cookies and changing the tracking protection setting has no effect.

Oddly enough, when I attempted to report this page as not working, I couldn't submit my report (the Send button did nothing -- though this feature works for other sites).

Have others here experienced the same problem; and if so, is there a known cause/resolution?

Just set up Thunderbird - inbox for email account mainly looks fine, except for entries at top of list with only time shown in last column - these are a variety of dates. After that section, my list of inbox messages proper starts. Can I get these initial entries not to display? (or if they have to, why?)

I was a bit surprised that I found some mozilla kraken benchmark 1.1 results that were somewhat better than mine (despite being done on the same mobile SoC as mine)

I then read closely that the better score was made on the Chrome Mobile browser.

I then installed Chrome on my mobile and also suddenly got results which average were about 25 - 28 % better than when I ran Kraken in Firefox Is that to be expected? Or can I do something to make my firefox just as fast?

I'm seeing glitches when scrolling on some sites, eg. google.com, orange.pl. I checked other browsers - chrome and Samsung internet (so based on chromium) and there seems to be no problems.

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. Hi there, recently I wanted to open Firefox on an iPad that I did not use for a while but I was not able to access the tabs anymore. They seem to be inactive somehow. Turning the inactive tabs-setting off did not help in getting them active again. At the same time it seems to be a graphical issue that does not show the tabs as active. When being in overview mode I still acn see thumbnaisl of the webpages that have be opened before, biut I cannot access and use these pages when I click on that corresponding tab.

What can I do to gain access to my obviously opened tabs again? Thanks in advance!

Hi, all of my passwords and usernames have been deleted. When I go to the passwords section of my account all that is listed is the web addresses. The usernames and passwords are blank! HELP!

Is there a way to enable sounds when the built in pop-up blocker blocks a pop-up or make the banner more noticeable? I often dont realize a pop-up has been blocked and cant figure out why I' not getting the new content

I have includes 4 different email adresses in Thunderbird. All of them as IMAP. All the time everthing works fine, but for the last 2 weeks Thinderbird doesnt syncronize correctly.

For example: Thunderbird sees, that there are 8 unread messages in inbox, but at the same time Thunderbird does show me only 5 of them in the inbox. (When I login the the eMail-provider then there are all the 8 messages)

The "repair"-tool did not help so far. Diffrent mail-adresses show similar behavior.

I need a good idea.

Today I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Since doing this, the taskbar icon is not the same as it has always been.

It used to be that if I pinned Firefox to the taskbar, I would click on it and the default Firefox window would open. When the mouse was right-clicked, the icon showed there was a choice of the default Firefox window and an option for a privacy window I could choose. I did that frequently.

Now if I pin Firefox to the taskbar there is no privacy window option. If I pin the private browser to the taskbar, this becomes the default window with options for the non-private default browser available with a right mouse click.

I would like to know how to pin the default Firefox window to the taskbar and have the private window option show up when that icon is clicked please.

I want to delete a mail folder from an IMAP server. When clicking "Delete" in right-click menu, Thunderbird tries to move it to trash. This fails for folders that are shared from another user with error "[CANNOT] Renaming not supported across non-private namespaces". When I switch the "When I delete a message" setting to "Remove it immediately" the folder is deleted correctly. Is it possible to do this just for folders? I tried Shift+Delete and holding Shift while clicking Delete but both did not work, Thunderbird tried and failed to move the folder to trash as usual. It would however be most useful if after failing to move the folder to trash it would give me an option to delete it permanently instead.
