In Abu Dhabi, what are some recommended methods or best practices for using Firefox browser effectively and securely? I was looking up a Kinder candy product called "Happy Hippo" yesterday afternoon, and briefly surfed around a website for a weird American supplement company with the same name that also came up in the search results. (Just out of curiosity trying to figure out what the supplement they were selling even was.)

That supplement company subsequently showed up in my inbox this morning offering me a discount code. And to state the obvious: I ABSOLUTELY did not give this sketchy supplement company my email address while on their site.

I would be alarmed to find any company tracking me to my inbox after simply browsing their website for less than two minutes, but for it to happen after using Firefox Focus, I'm also dismayed.

I've already unsubscribed from their mailings and sent a strongly worded email about the invasion of internet user privacy, but half the problem must also lie on Firefox Focus' end. I don't know who can look for bugs or loopholes that would have let this happen, but hopefully reporting it here will start that process.

Back in November 2023 I had the misfortune of a software engineer not doing his job correctly and he reinstalled the OS on my laptop instead of repairing some software that wasn't functioning correctly. Mercifully, I have had Microsoft support working on recovering my data, which has proved a tremendous task. 4 months and counting.

We have now finally managed to recover my passwords for my browsers, but they are encrypted. Microsoft Support have therefore asked if Mozilla do a decryption tool as they cannot open the file without it being decrypted first. If I was using Microsoft Edge, they would have been able to assist as that is a Microsoft product, but as Firefox is a third party application, they've asked for assistance. By the way, these are NOT scammers or hackers 'helping' me, but Microsoft support and I get everything emailed about our support etc.

I received notification that my mailbox was full but I can't delete anything from the inbox, sent items or trash. It appears to delete but then it comes back. I've gone through the process of menu, help, profile, mail, trash but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I've tried updating and it says it's updated. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hello there, A "not supported" notice shows up each time the Mozilla browser loads a webpage. After looking through the settings, I discovered that Mozilla has to be updated. Could you please help me update Mozilla? For instance, when I attempt to open (https://fiverrpromotion.net/), I get an error notice.

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

I can receive emails to my (protonmail.com server) email account on Thunderbird. But I cannot send emails. This is the error message. "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Error: no such user. Please check the message and try again."

My phone runs slow, 'even' with just 1 Tab open and only Firefox Mobile App on the phone active.

When we download a pdf file from the server, the "choice box" allow to . open in the browser or . open in Acrobat or . download on my PC. The opening fails with this message. This is the problem. The download on my PC works and when I open the file from my PC it works also.

We need this function of opening a pdf or xml directly from a server IBM Power with Ubuntu. It was OK for several years until 125.0.1 Firefox version. We had no change on the IBM server.

Can you repair this problem quickly. My PC uses Windows 10

Hi folks, I am wondering if there is a possibility to add a strikethrough icon to the compose window. I use strikethrough quite often and it is very inconvenient to go to the menu each time. I can find only addons for earlier versions of TB. Thanks

So with Google becoming an increasingly terrible company over the years I once again decided to try to move away from chromium based browsers and over to Firefox, but I'm still having the same problem as I did when I first tried. I have since found the source of the problem, or rather a more exact explanation of what is going on, but I still can not find a solution. Basically when I compare the audio of the same YouTube video while logged into the same account with the same settings the audio quality on chromium browsers seems better. After some testing I figured out that it has to do with Logitech's G Hub surround sound option. Using Logitech's surround sound on headsets that support it, the Pro X2 in my case, will change the audio quality by quite a lot, in my opinion it sounds better. The problem is that this change doesn't seem to have an effect when using Firefox.

Is this a known issue and if yes, is there a solution?

For the past three days every time I initially open Firefox on my iPhone, I get a page that pops up. I'm assuming asking me if I want to switch my Firefox to a different language. I can't really tell what it's asking because it's in a different language. How do I stop this from happening? It is extremely annoying.

As a longtime user and a regular subscriber to Mozilla, I can’t get access to Thunderbird. Reason is that I had to repair the hard drive and now I am locked out. I am unable to insert a master password because I never had one. Reason being that I have used Thunderbird for years and years before that was required. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. Windows 10 22H2, Thunderbird 115.5

Thunderbird periodically loses my saved passwords (11 accounts) necessitating the re-entry of said passwords. This has been happening for about six to eight months.

I have searched for solutions and have tried deleting the pkcs11.txt and secmod.db files but the problem reoccurs. There is no rhyme or reason as to how often this happens. If I new where the passwords were stored, I could copy the good password file back into the thunderbird directory.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My Thunderbird has been working properly for about 30 years, but now refuses to open. Message received says 'Authentication failed'. This happens repeatedly (for at least 20-30 times) and appears to relate to my password. It suggests 'Retry' or 'Enter new password'. The 'Retry' repeats as before so I check the Saved Passwords and enter the one saved. I get the same message. I am using Version 115 and have been for some time.

Could this be related to a change of Profile? There must be a way to reset the password? I have checked all the settings and no errors appear, all settings confirmed.

I have thought about a Recovery Mode and seem to remember seeing a message that I do have that. I just don't know how to access it.

I clicked the 'a' key on a folder in my email and a stack of emails disappeared. Some unread and some requiring a response! They're not in the archive folder.
