I have lost access to the primary email on the account. I have 2fa setup on the account and I have backup recovery codes. When I go to add another email it sends a code to the primary email, which has no access. Is there a way to use either 2fa or backup codes instead of the code sent to primary email?

Trying to sync Firefox to my mobile device. I get to this point where Firefox on my computer says:

Enter authentication code to continue to account settings Open your authentication app and enter the authentication code it provides.

It wants a 6 digit code. But I don't have an authentication app. How can I set one up for Firefox to sync to my mobile device?

I have an Orange.re email address, and whilst I can receive emails, I am unable to send emails. Any ideas why? I have verified the smtp server and settings.

I get pop-up "alerts" in Firefox from the NY Post--thousands--so many that simply dismissing them without looking at them is time consuming. I don't see any way to stop them, no "unsubscribe" and nothing in Firefox settings, but there must be a way. Can you help me?

Since this morning (05/03/2026) Thunderbird freezes within a minute or two of opening the program.

Everything in the program freezes up. I cannot even close it.

I am running Version 140.8.0esr on a Windows 10 PC.

Initially I was getting a pop up warning message that ask me to confirm if I wanted to send an email with attachments of over 20 MB. There were 3 or 4 such messages. I had not tried to send such emails.

I checked the Outbox in Local folders for old messages, but it was empty. I also checked the Unsent messages files in Local Folders in the Profile folder. I deleted the Unsent Messages.msf file to no effect. I renamed and replaced the Unsent messages file. Also no change.

I checked for crash logs but there are none.

I have run out of ideas as to what to try next. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm in an Alzheimer's study that wants to turn on my microphone so I can do one of the things in the study but I can't find where to do this. I went to microphones and typed in the name Brain Health Registry but it doesn't give me a place to turn on the microphone. Hope you can help so I can finish their quiz for today. As far as I know, I have the latest version because it updates when it needs to but I couldn't even find the version I have.

Ok, I screwed up.

I was trying to solve a problem I've been having with regular releases of Firefox and it occurred to me try the ESR release so I downloaded and installed it. The good news is that it solved my problem, the bad news is that I just barrelled into it without thinking, assuming that my logins and bookmarks would just transfer over like with regular releases. They did not. It turns out I should have made a backup of those things first and I can't open the old regular release of Firefox to properly back-up those things now. Oops.

I've been reading lots of forum posts here and elsewhere trying to get those files into ESR and I haven't been successful. From the profile manager I've located the profile that still contains that info and I've tried:

Copying and pasting the "logins.json" and "key4.db" files from the "default-release" profile into the ESR profile which didn't work.

From "about:profiles" I also tried to "launch profile in a new browser" of the default-release profile so I can open that profile and properly back-up bookmarks and logins but I get a prompt to create a new profile which I tried several times and only resulted in several profiles of the ESR release.

Then it occurred to me that If I could just delete all instances of ESR and open the old default-profile then I could back-up the logins and bookmarks, THEN download and install ESR again and import those files but before diving into that I need to make sure that won't loose my original default-release profile info.

So experts, does that sound reasonable? Delete all instances of ESR so I can open the regular Firefox? What's the best way of going about that?

hi. i change my windows and now I need to restore my old setting and bookmark to new pc but i have not any backup file i was thinking my account save all of my data & setting in cloud but now i cant access to my setting and bookmarks

Since the last update, not this recent one, there has been a huge empty space at the top of the home page. I had to close the search so my favorites wern't off the bottom of the screen. I'd really like to remove the Firefox logo, move my favorites to the top of the page and the search under that. Can you make it more customizable?

Good afternoon, I restarted my windows computer because it was buggy and right before reinstalling I synced the Firefox account so that whenever I reinstalled Firefox in the PC once more I could have all my bookmarks.

Now while setting up, I find out none were synced? It doesn't appear and obviously I don't have access to the "old" browser to manually download the html file. This was weird because last time I downloaded Firefox in another device and logged into my account it automatically synced and configured everything as it was.

Please advice if there's any way to restore my bookmarks at least because I need them for work.
