I accidentally uninstalled firefox and need to recover passwords and bookmarks. Can this be done? I run an old dell latitude with Windows 10 and was trying to cleanup apps running in background at startup since it was running very slowly. At one point I saw 2 firefox icons. I have McAfee+ Ultimate Family Security package and was attempting to set up its Password Manager. As it worked out their tech rep indicated that Firefox (which is my default by choice) does not support that particular extension for some reason. Is Firefox/McAfee collaborating to resolve this issue?

I am trying to manage Firefox browser for our users with MDM. On doing so, I can't able to get expected output on blocking the camera access for certain websites with the following OMA-URI.

./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Firefox~Policy~firefox~Permissions~Camera/Camera_Block

I can add websites in allow section and even lock the setting so that the users can't change. But facing issues with blocking camera access.

Is there any place where I can see the log if there are any error encountering by any chance? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

After updating to version 137 today, all my bookmarks are gone. I've tried looking under "Profiles" to see if they're on another profile following the instructions from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update; there are two profiles (default and default-release) and both have no bookmarks. I also tried following the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks to import a backup, but Firefox finds no backups to import from and there's no "Old Firefox Data" on my desktop to restore from. Search history and recently closed tabs history are intact, so it doesn't look like Firefox has completely destroyed the profile it was using before the update, just the bookmarks. Is there anything else I should try, or should I accept that this particular library of Alexandria has burned and just begin recreating the bookmarks?

After updating to v 133.0, when maximizing Firefox (not F11 fullscreen), a taskbar that is set to "auto-hide" will no longer unhide when mousing to the bottom of the screen. This did not occur with the previous version (132.0.2).

This behavior is also unaffected by the "devtools.toolbox.alwaysOnTop" setting in about:config as i've tried switching from the default "true" to "false".

Update: Still persists in 136.0.2

Firefox Desktop (x64) worked normally until the version 135 update was installed. Now tabs (even a single tab) crash after startup unless Firefox is run in troubleshooting mode or Windows 8 compatibility mode. OS is Windows 10 Pro (x64) 22H2 on ThinkPad E495 (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U) Things that haven't resolved the problem: - Remove extensions and themes - Refresh Firefox - Reinstall Firefox - Updating Visual C++ 2015-2022 with Redistributable (x64) version 14.42.34438 - Updating Firefox to version 135.0.1 and subsequently to version 136.0, however updater only works in Windows 8 compatibility mode - Full system scan for malware (none found) Note: Extensions NoScript and Cookie AutoDelete work normally with Firefox running in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

The comment section on various sites is no longer displaying, The Federalist, Townhall, Pjmedia, Hotair, Redstate. All use disqus.com. Settings under privacy and security set to standard. Manage exceptions list all these, including disqus. Turned off, restarted, reloaded sites (not from bookmarks). Works on Edge but not Firefox. Do I just discontinue using Firefox and be done with this? Just checked Firefox for updates-says mine is up-to-date, version 136.0.2.
