new firefox user trying to migrate from chrome i want to bookmark my trello board but it is not using the right icon. it is using the generic trello icon instead of the one that is actually visible when i have them open. i use 3 different trello boards and need all 3 to be distinguishable only by the icon so this is a critical feature for me to be able to use this browser. this problem doesn't happen in chrome which i have been using. i have tried many extensions to try to locate the image that is actually being used, it doesn't work. i can't find the image being downloaded. how do i get the same icon that is showing in the tab to show up in the bookmarks bar?

We have a full stack "MEAN"(CosmosDb/mongoDB, Nodejs, Express and Angular 12) project hosted on Microsoft Azure. Somehow today I tried to log into the app with my favorite browser Firefox and got stuck. Looked at the developer console and saw a bunch of exceptions. I tried our app running on various browsers: Chrome, Opera, Edge, Brave. They all work fine. Furthermore my local server also works with Firebox browser. What could be my issue? Please help.

Thanks so much!

Last year someone asked about 2 Firefox for Android applications; I just had two different copies of Firefox installed on my Win 10 laptop (one in an attempt by Microsoft to upgrade to Win 11) where all my data was in the old app named 'Mozilla Firefox') while the newly installed app was just 'Firefox' and had none of my data. I did not attempt that new install, it seems Microsoft did ?? They also mentioned wanting to redirect the new Firefox to specific Domain Name Service servers, rather than the traditional server addresses provided by the local network. Anyone know what's going on?

Ever since the Firefox upgrade to v100.0 (Win10 64-bit), Firefox locks up whenever it spawns a new, external process. This happens most frequently whenever the website to which I'm connected (doesn't matter which one) attempts to print or read in a file on the hard drive. This is especially true for email sites, where these functions are most often called from within FireFox. No error code appears and it's not immediately evident that Firefox even has an issue. It just becomes completely unresponsive. I have to call up the Task Manager and kill the Firefox tasks to exit. When I reinvoke Firefox, it restarts the tabs I had open at the time I killed it. This never happened before v100.0, and does not happen in any other browser. I have a friend with a Windows 10 machine who has exactly the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I use FF with the setting on start to restore the tabs of the last session.

Now I need a specific tab active/focused on start. (It is a WebRTC for our phone system and if it not focused at start ring tone will not be played)

Is there a way to start with my last opened tabs restored but this specific tab active and in selected/focused.

Pinning this tab seems to load it but WILL not play a ringtone without clicked first. If I end FF with this tab active and therefore the tab is active on next start the ring tone will be played.

But knowing me I WILL forget to click on this tab either on start or before ending FF.

Hi!

I am not sure, if Mozilla is the reason, or Facebook is the reason. But since I can't get any help from FB, I'd like to check also here.

At first, I thought that the problem is on my side, since I am using ICC profiles and maybe I did something wrong. But It is not the problem on my side. I tried with an original jpg file, directly from my camera.

So, when I upload JPG to the Facebook, color of the image changes. This happens only if I publish it directly to my FB wall. If I go to FB "publishing tools" (on FB pages), everything works normal. If I upload the same photo via for example Chrome or Vivaldi, everything works, even if I upload directly to the FB wall.

So the problem occurs only If I upload from Mozilla (I have latest version 100) to the FB wall. Not via "publishing tools" on FB page. But problem is the same if I publish on my FB business page wall. So I assume that the problem is on FB side, that somehow renders files differently then via their Publishing tools. But I am allowing that Mozilla does something to them via the interface.

There must be some problem with Mozilla too, since all images work OK with Chrome or Vivaldi. So, something in relation of Mozilla - Facebook wall.

Currently I just use Chrome for uploading to FB, but I don't want that.

Not sure what to do now. FB does not reply, maybe Mozilla can help or check? I attached a sample photos, to see difference. Here is my Mozilla gfx.color profile too: https://i.ibb.co/CWRHWnh/6.jpg

Certain sites (the latest being https://azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/, which i've downloaded successfully from before) cannot be downloaded from - firefox gives the error of "[site] attempted to automatically download multiple files. The site could be broken or trying to store spam files on your device."

I know these downloads aren't spam or malicious, but when I hit the "Allow" button to give permission, there's no change. The downloads remain blocked and new downloads are blocked.

I've turned off my antivirus shields to see if that was causing it, but to no results.

I sincerely thank you for your time and know that you're quite busy, and look forward to hearing back about this issue.

This is a maddening bug! I know it started with the recent update to Firefox 100 because the behavior only started AFTER updating and I did not change ANY settings in Windows 10, let alone any related to the keyboard. Please fix this bug!!

I double-checked this setting for Backspace key navigation. Here's what I did:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.backspace_action and pause while the list is filtered

When I did this I saw the value was set to 2 (do nothing) so something else is causing this bug!

I'm not sure where the issue is coming from but I've checked my Webcam settings and they're fine as far as I can tell. Whenever I have Discord open and am using my webcam and then open Firefox nothing will load and everything slows down. Could there be a firefox setting I can change?

All our Firefox browsers (version 99.*, Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise) in the company need around 20 seconds to load a web page when first opened. All other browser functions work fluently from the beginning. Also the slowness only happens after opening and not during further use. Which Firefox is refusing to load I can open other tabs and e.g. do a Google search and then the "slowness timer" starts again (independently if the first tab is closed or stays open) and refuses to do anything on that tab. Once the slownedd period is over all tabs are loaded and no further problem occurs. This issue occurs only when the GPO "URL for Home Page" is applied. But this page is reachable and when Firefox is working it loads within milliseconds. For testing I created a new profile and on the first startup the problem already occurs. And all other startups too. When temporarily removing this one GPO entry it immediately works again fluently. It also doesn't matter what I set as home page (company internal website or some random web page); it is always slow once this setting is in place.

Apparently, yesterday at 9:03AM, Firefox download 8 blank HTM files. I have not clicked on them to see what they are. I do not know where they came from. They have random file names and when I right click to read the properties, it says zero bytes. I have already googled this question a billion different ways, but I have come up with nothing.

I have virus scanned it, but it found nothing.

I do not know where these came from. I was at work at 9:03AM yesterday, and I never download anything from random sites, and like I said, I wasn't even on my computer yesterday at that time to download anything. No one else could either, I live alone. I only just noticed this today when I checked my download folder and found 8 random files, and it says FireFox downloaded them yesterday.

I've included a picture of what it looks like. What on earth is this? And why is it microsoft edge logo? I don't even use that darn browser.

When I try to load a png file with transparent background into firefox 35.0.1, the background appears black. I've already tried Transparent standalone images add-on with no results, including https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-image/reviews/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_content=addons-manager-reviews-link and https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-images/reviews/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_content=addons-manager-reviews-link

I also look at the previous question with the same name, from 2015: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1044582#question-reply

Unfortunately after trying to follow every step there, I have the same question as the OP did on 2/3/2015, except that the extension he recommends ( Old Default Image Style: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/old-default-image-style/ ) and the other two recommended by cor-el ( Transparent standalone images: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-imag/ and Custom Standalone Image Backgrounds: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/custom-image-backgrounds/ ) are all dead links in 2022.

I would appreciate some help with this.

We have removed all taskbar icons but the builtin adobe app still presents a download button. When clicked it fails on the windows file system but then resorts to the desktop and somehow succeeds. Users are locked out - but it still saves. Anyone know how to remove this download option and/or block it?

thanks,

Since the recent update to Firefox 100 the only usable theme seems to be the light theme.

When using other themes, for example the dark theme, some areas of Firefox become unreadable. For example the tab bar:

How can I change these colors individually, so I can use the dark theme again but still see and read my open tabs?
