Hello, First let me thank Mozilla again for a great experience. I've been using Firefox as my main browser for many years and since some time I also started supporting Mozilla financially with whatever little I can with recurring payments. To the problem: since some time patch / commit view on HitHub with Firefox is broken. I guess many @mozilla have github accounts so you can open and read https://support.github.com/ticket/1318472 but to summarise: my first entry there was: ``` When viewing Linux kernel style Pull Requests on GitHub, using Firefox, TABs are displayed as 4 spaces, which is confusing, since the default is 8 spaces, which is also what is displayed in chrome and chromium. E.g. https://github.com/thesofproject/sof/pull/4747/commits/e9cc9312841a9329797b0b676335c8cb1a0dc779 ``` then a screenshot (attached) and a clarification to it: ``` As you can see there the patch area between lines 238 and 245 is wrongly indented by 4 spaces, whereas areas above and below are correctly indented by 8 spaces. ``` Then more: ``` No, space isn't used for indentation in that code. They can download raw code and verify, I'm sure they know how to do that. Why don't they just reproduce that themselves? Start Firefox, navigate to any PR commit like https://github.com/thesofproject/sof/pull/4884/commits/b19a64df2c2fcd63d7407ef500fd3312287c8995 and click arrows above and below the diff to display surrounding code. Then navigate to or download the raw patch https://github.com/thesofproject/sof/commit/b19a64df2c2fcd63d7407ef500fd3312287c8995.patch to see TABs used everywhere. Should be very easy to verify. ``` and their last reply was ``` From a technical standpoint this is not a regression. It's a problem with the way firefox interprets the combination of the tab-size css and the particular markdown we use for our diffs.

After reviewing the Issue in more detail there it has not been prioritized and will most likely not be addressed in the near future. ``` This is a deal-breaker for me. I spend hours daily reviewing GitHub pull requests. And I'd really not want to use a different browser just because of this... Please help! Thanks Guennadi

using Firefox 96.0.3 on macOS 12.1

i've been creating some Google Docs this week and using the various Roboto font weights (Light, Thin, Normal, Medium, Bold) to format them with. the majority of the docs are using the "Normal" weight.

suddenly, i came back to it today and ALL the "Normal" weights display as "Medium" and all the "Medium" are displaying as "Normal" - even in the dropdown font selector menu.

it looks normal in Safari. and the Roboto variants look normal when viewing at fonts.google.com. so it's only in Firefox on Google Docs (as far as i can tell).

i have tried running in Troubleshooting Mode, which didn't change anything. so i event went as far as deleting all Addons, and completely resetting Firefox to factory defaults. the problem persists.

any ideas?

I use Win10. I have an updated Firefox browser. I have deleted cookies and cleared the cache. I have restarted multiple times. Chase.com will NOT work with Firefox. I get a page that says the browser has to be updated to above version 76. and mine is 96.0.3 I did indeed follow their link to download and do the update even thought I knew I had the most recent update, and it worked. UNTIL...I closed the browser and tried to login again.

I contacted Chase for online support. The online "specialist" who was also the supervisor (?) at Chase has told me Chase is no longer compatible with Firefox. This makes NO sense to me. She insisted this was the case. I felt she didn't want to assist in hunting down the issue.

Does anyone else have a problem with the Chase.com website??

Issue Description: My support ticket holder is running FireFox 96.0.3 and has to process records from the state, these records are available through links similar to this (not publicly accessible):

https://powerschool.tulsaschools.org/admin/reportqueue/prreport.html?jobQueueCurrentId=<id>&repName=<filename>&repType=html

When the dialog box offers to open / save the file the open option lists the file as a text file (ignoring the type tag above) and offers to open the file in the system's default text editor.

Choosing the save option downloads the file and saves it as a .html file... loading the downloaded file has the expected result of displaying the Web page as intended.

Other browsers (Chrome, Edge) load both files as HTML as expected. Steps taken: Cache and Cookies have been cleared, FireFox has been refreshed, and I closed and re-opened FireFox.

How can I recover the ability to display this HTML file as a webpage through the open option and not as source (text)? Resources: File saved in the temp folder & opening as source: FireFoxReport-Open.png Expected result (and result in other browsers: FireFoxReportOpen-Expected.png - Being edited for privacy

As a member of the American Sociologial Association I have the ability to download PDF copies of ASA journal articles. Firefox simply will not work. So I switch to Safri and it works fine. I assume that Firefox security protections or something is blocking me. I cannot find any information in support for this problem. In Firefox I go in circles between this screen (attached) and logging into ASA. In Safari I download the article without this problem.

Can you direct me to a trouble shooting guide so that I know what to turn off when I want to download the articles without having to switch to Safari?
