Can anyone tell me how to set up the THUNDERBIRD TO ALWAYS LOG-IN into its own Messenger and avoid the Yahoo's interference with his INADEQUATE Messenger format - this should not be high-science question but I have difficulties to find an information in the HELP-section - thanks, Tony H. ...!

I am new with Thunderbird. So, I one IMAP account is not syncing. All the information is correct. Please assist with steps on to get Thunderbird start syncing in the emails on the IMAP email account.

Hello, I have a problem with one email account. Grouping does not affect it. It does not group... Everything was OK but I changed the POP server address to MAIL for a moment and then back to POP. Since then the account has not grouped. I want to have all the mailboxes "received" together. What could be the reason that this one account does not group and it used to group?

Gmail was working with Oath2, but due to some security issues, I had to update my Google (& thus Gmail) password. It was on a different computer. Started Thunderbird up and it would not do anything with GMail. Some "expert" had said to go into passwords, delete them all for GMail, and it will prompt you for the password, etc. Well, it DID work for sending, but for receiving it just gives an error: "The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Invalid credentials." And just an "OK" response is possible.

 What do I need to do to kick start it into working on downloads?

I am using Thunderbird 128.11.1esr on macOS Ventura 13.7.6 (OCLP) and would like to have all my accounts displayed in one unified inbox:

In the past all my accounts relied on pop3, but now of them changed to imap only, which now shows up like this:

Is there a way for me to have just one inbox folder? I set it up like this ages ago but can't recall which steps need to be taken to receive the desired view.

If I choose View > Folders > Unified folders I get this:

The Tunderbird program hangs all the time and after a while stops responding, the only thing you can do is close the program, it is completely impossible to work, Please help!!! Best regards Bronislaw <redacted>@henerman.pl

I have just updated to Thunderbird release,and everything went fine,except the local folders did not transfer. There is a lot of important data in the local folders,and I need access.

Bonjour, Depuis 2 changements d'ordinateur qui ont pour navigateur Morzilla (Lenovo Thinkpad E15 (sous W10) et E16 (sous W11) le nombre de messages affichés sur la colonne de gauche ne correspond aux messages visibles sur l'espace de lecture (a droite) ce qui fait de Thinderbird une messagerie absolument pas fiable. Pouvez-vous me préciser s'il y a une manipulation pour voir afficher tous les messages pour correspondre a nombre mentiosur la colonne de gauche  ?

I am trying to read my gmail email using Thunderbird. However, once I fill in the server configuration, I get a 2fa pop-up window with an error message. See attached.

What can I do to get this to work? Or is Thunderbird unable to access gmail?

This has happened before and was only solved by deleting every possible thunderbird element from my laptop, (including my calendar, which later took many hours to re - update). An email from xfinity that includes a link to my xfinity account attaches itself to my tbird program in such a way that no new emails can be received. I have cleaned the cache, opened task manager and closed every tbird open link, I have removed all xfinity emails on the original email server (also xfinity). Nothing removes the problem message. Is there a way to remove it without removing the whole tbird program (and then reinstalling)? It was such a pain to do this last time around. When you do a normal clean out it doesn't actually remove every element. Going in to find every little thing causes me a lot of effort and stress. This one faulty message is making me give up on tbird altogether. Thanks for your help! Annie

I would like to be able to click the little fire icon on an email in my "list of emails" window to Mark as Spam, then have Thunderbird automatically move it to my Bulk folder after that.

I looked to see if I could set up a filter to do that, but don't see "Marked as Spam" as one of the selection criteria.

Is there a setting to accomplish what I'm looking for?

Whenever I want to print an email the print preview doesn't show, it keeps displaying a spinning wheel. Printing also doesn't work (as in, I press Save, enter a filename and press Save; the dialog closes but no file is generated).

I already tried the Troubleshooting information -> Clear saved print settings, but to no avail.

Browser console screenshot attached. I'm using Fedora 41 and Thunderbird 128.11.0esr (flatpak).

Sometimes while I am in an other program, there pops up at the right side a message from Thunderbird that there has come an email. I don't want that but there is no way I can control this.
