Hi, Is there a way to set up Thunderbird so that a thread of emails opens up in one window? Right now, every time I answer an email and get a response, TB opens up a tab for each separate email. I selected Open Message in an Existing Message Window in Settings, hoping that would solve it; but now it just opens a bunch of windows for each message. I just want one window that shows the thread of messages with the most recent response on top. Is that possible? I hate having to close 10 tabs every time I get an email.

I have a lot of Firefox windows and tabs open, and I really don't want to lose my session.

I wanted to open a webpage in Firefox in fullscreen mode. But evidently there's some kind of serious flaw in Firefox that makes it incapable of opening webpages in fullscreen mode. Everyone says the only workaround is to open the webpage in kiosk mode. So I tried it.

But now I have two big problems:

1. One of my Firefox windows, with all its tabs, is stuck in kiosk mode. (Even if I close the window and then restore it with Ctrl+Shift+T, it's still in kiosk mode.)

2. All new Firefox windows I open with Ctrl+N are also stuck in kiosk mode.

I don't know what to do, and I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Guys, the only issue I have is that Firefox for Android can't import/export bookmarks.html. I've tested a few others, especially one called Kiwi, and even Brave. I understand that they're Chromium based, but why can't the same functionality be built into Firefox? I think that the Sync function is too limiting. Other than that, I LOVE Firefox, have used it on PC for years and have always enjoyed the experience. It's just that I use my phone to do a great many things these days, rather than using my laptop, so the bookmark import/export feature would just make it perfect for me 😊. I have Thunderbird 128.12.0. I accidentally deleted an old message and I quickly realized my error and went to the account's trash folder to recover it, but the act of opening up the trash folder seemed to trigger an automated deletion of old messages (at least that's what it looked like it was doing - maybe I'm wrong). In any case, the message is not in the trash folder, so it appears it was just deleted because of the age of the message. I'm wondering if there's some way to have the trash folder not delete messages based solely on their creation date, but also on the date they were moved to the trash folder. In other words, two conditions must be met. They must have been deleted x number of days ago, and they must have a certain age (based on the creation date). This way even a very old message would be available for a certain period.

I read a couple of articles about how trash deletion is handled, and I'm a little confused. For each of my three accounts, when I right click the TRASH folder, then click on PROPERTIES, and then click on RETENTION POLICY, "Use my account settings." is checked. That seems fine, but I'm not sure where the retention policy is established for the account. If I right click on the account name, and then click on SERVER SETTINGS, I see a "When I delete a message" heading. In my case the option checked is "Move it to this folder" and the folder is the trash folder. The MESSAGE STORAGE section has nothing checked.

Am I missing something? Is there a place where I can specify how long something must be kept in trash before it's deleted?

I updated my version but when I log in it wants me to donate. Donate implies you don't have to if you want. More important, I've already donated. So why doesn't the damn thing let me bypass the request

Please how do I recieve my new emails in decending order I am finding new emails at the bottom of the pile and I have to scroll down all my old ones to get to new...thank you for your time

Help me find an extension that will allow me to email a link to a browser page through Outlook email directly from the browser page. I had one on my old computer in the Firefox extensions bar, but I can't seem to find it again. When I search there are many that either a) don't work, or b) may not be trustworthy. Help!

Since an update 4-5 days ago, Comcast SMTP server does not accept login from Thunderbird. Comcast help page said it was updating and requires a more secure SSL security. Today the Pop3 server does not allow signin either.

How can I select a more secure encryption that will be compatible with comcast.

Thunderbird doesn't natively show number icons for the number of emails in folders other than INBOX (maybe one or two others). I miss messages in other folders because they don't display emails present. How do I enable this for other mail folders? Checked interweb; didn't seem to apply.
