I already downloaded firefox vpn for windows and already have the firefox vpn extension icon on the upper right corner of my screen.

If I click on that icon extension nothing happens. What can I do ?

Firefox was updated. I was Hacked. Now I cannot log into my email Provider. Firefox is my default browser. How do I access my email provider via firefox browser now?

I just set up a gmail account in T-bird. I can send, but I can't receive. It keeps saying there's no email to get. I use a read-only email app called Mailwasher. I AM getting Gmail email in that app, while it's on the server.

I have gone through the settings in T-bird several times. I even checked on the web. - I entered what you see below (in both Thunderbird and Mailwasher): '"Incoming Mail Server Settings (IMAP) Hostname: imap.gmail.com Port: 993 Requires SSL: Yes Username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., example@gmail.com) Password: Your Gmail password"

I even tried changing the password a couple of times (also had to do this in Mailwasher).

UPDATE: now Thunderbird isn't logging on and wants a new password (which I've done twice already). No reason why.

I just installed thunderbird for the first time and i really liked it but there is a problem some of my emails particularly from from Fiverr don't show Fiverr logo at the top within the email maybe that logo has linked wrapped in it on which i can click and it take me directly to my fiverr profile. These are official emails from fiverr. What i have tried: I tried every possible solution that i can get on internet. Show Remote content turning on and off, Turing Simplified view on and off. Turning of the Proxy from auto detect and Turning the DNS off. Fiddling around view settings. Changing settings in Configuration like mailnews.message_display.disable_remote_image, browser.opaqueResponseBlocking.javascriptValidator, browser.opaqueResponseBlocking, etc. But it didn't load the logo image and keep showing broken image place holder. This is also the case with my bank mail, my bank email sometime have an image with warning about OTPs not just text it also don't load. I also tried disabling the spam protection and i only use minimize to tray extension which i disabled to check if image loads or not ans tried to run it in Troubleshoot mode but no luck. I will really appreciate If anyone could help me and fixed the issue . :)

When Thunderbird injects a link preview into a message, it changes the text composition from Body Text (my norm and default) to Paragraph. This styling change persists even after I delete what look like the entire preview.

My fix for the current message is to select all and reestablish Body Text, then clean up left over mess.

My overall fix is to uncheck Settings > Composition > Add link previews when pasting URLs

Clearly HTML is required to create a graphic preview box in a message. I do not recall having turned link preview on to begin with, so I'm feeling opted in. Do Thunderbird updates download with this option turned off? ___

Another reason I eshew link previews is that they appear to establish connections to online assets without asking. How is this safe? As a software developer - and simply as a user - I have occasion to send people links that I don't want to connect with. To pick an easy edge case, what if I'm reporting a phishing or malware site? Just because I type or paste an URL into an email message doesn't mean I want to download anything from that source.

I went to my account and Firefox on android operating system and I was not signed in I click sign in it swaps over and shows me it's logged in I'm having issues where my phone showing up in different locations I'm pretty sure my SIM card has been cloned I've contacted the FBI about some of my security issues so bad I cut the internet off at my house I'm not keeping up with current security measures right now because it's a waste of time whoever is hacking me is just so obsessive I think it's an old neighbor and just trying to wait out and investigation what can I do to alert Firefox to monitor my account or something being open sources or even anybody that does that with this software or is that up to the community am I on my own

Hi, somehow thunderbird forced me to use OAuth for caldav and carddav. (v140 on linux) Unless I've probably missed something this approach doesn't seem to have considered that people might use more than one device. In the past I had an application password per device with my mail provider. That password covered imap, smtp, caldav and carddav. The application password I could set with a specific name at my mail provider. If the device was lost, compromised or whatever I just deleted that one application password at my mail provider, problem solved.

Now a regular thunderbird setup has the application password for mail and 2 OAuth records per device under "Connected Apps" at my mail provider. But it is not possible to see anymore to which device the OAuth record belong, as there is nothing device specific coming along with these OAuth records, just an IP.

With that perspective OAuth weakened my security options, as I can only guess which OAuth record I have to delete in an emergency case. Did anyone who implemented that with Thunderbird considered that people may have more than 1 device? Maybe even more than 5 devices?

That OAuth approach looks unmanagable to me. Is there a way to switch OAuth off in thunderbird, until it becomes more useable in >1 device setups?

Hi, I just noticed that my computer has been infected by a trojan called "HEUR:Trojan.VBS.SAgent.gen", and I can't remove it via Kapersky...The trojan is found in the inbox file in Thunderbird. So it's not a file that I can remove (it's all code). Kapersky stated that these two files are the source of the Trojan (they are not found as an e-mail attachment in my inbox, it's all code in the inbox file in Thunderbird):

P000009384:Emirates_Marble-pdf.gz and P000009384:Emirates_Marble-pdf.vbs

So I'm simply wondering how I should go about to remove this trojan from my computer?

Today (February 25, 2026) I received an email notice, apparently from Mozilla Monitor, advising me that my "Email addresses, Partial credit card data, Passwords, and Phone numbers" had been exposed in a data breach at Canadian Tire. This email seemed legitimate (the sender was breach-alerts@mozilla.com), but since it gave me a link to login to Mozilla Monitor, my first concern was that this might be a phishing email and it would be dangerous to click on that link. Instead, I went through the Firefox settings to login to my Firefox account and from there, I checked what Monitor had reported. The Canadian Tire breach was not listed there. However, when I went to haveibeenpwned.com, the Canadian Tire breach was listed there. It showed that the breach occurred on October 25, 2025. So why was the breach not listed for me on Mozilla Monitor? And why would I have received an alert from Monitor 4 months after the breach? Was this breach alert notice actually a phishing scam perpetrated by someone using the information from haveibeenpwned.com as bait?

I keep getting blocked threats and my email will not download because Thunderbird is blocking the threat. I deleted all emails that came in prior to the problem. not sure how to find the bad email
