I need a FireFox feature that allows me to access the typical Cable Modem Gateway Web Manager addresses (192.168.0.1, 192.168.100.1, etc.) even when they have no security certificate.

I have been using a Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway (purchased at TARGET) for over five years without significant issues. About three weeks ago my MoCA network began having issues. I tried to login to the WEB Manager of the Gateway at (192.168.0.1) using FireFox. I got the following FireFox Msg:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.0.1. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

This website might not support the TLS 1.2 protocol, which is the minimum version supported by Firefox.

I finally used an old version of "Internet Explorer" which allowed me to bypass the security warning and connect via a direct ethernet port of the gateway. Evidently someone (Spectrum claims they didn't) downloaded a different firmware version into my Gateway. (D30GW-EAGLE-1.5.4.0-GA-10-NOSH) i.e. not the factory original version. The WEB Manager interface is different, password requirements are enhanced, the MoCA feature can't be enabled, and it seems Arris no longer provides a security certificate for the 192.168.0.1 Gateway address.

Considering the complete lack of cooperation of Spectrum and Arris, I think it is unlikely that I will ever be able to recover the factory original firmware; So... How about adding an "exception" feature to FireFox settings to allow me to at least access my "unsecure" Gateway. I really don't want to go back to using IE. By the way, I wrote this on a WIN 8.1 HP laptop. My main machine is a Dell XPS8300 running WIN 10.

I can log into my Firefox account on my Macbook Air with my email address and password, I can log into Firefox on my iPhone via pair, but I cannot log into Firefox on my Mac Mini using the same email address and password, the Mac Mini keeps saying my password is incorrect.

I'm running Firefox version 100 on both my Macbook Air and my Mac Mini. The sync feature works fine between my MacBook Air and my iPhone. The Firefox account works excellent between my MB Air and iPhone, but I would like to have my bookmarks, history and passwords synced to my Mac Mini as well.

The "only" way I know how to log into my Firefox account on my Mac Mini is using my email address and password. The same email address and password works fine on my MB Air and iPhone. But when I enter my email address and password on my Mac Mini, I get the "Incorrect password" message. I have carefully re-entered my password several times with no success.

I am concerned about "resetting" my password as the dialogue suggests I may lose my bookmarks, logins, and passwords. I really, really, don't want to do that. Besides, they work fine on my MacBook Air and iPhone.

I don't have a resolution to this issue. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Glenn Cooper

Since Thunderbird 91.10.0 update, I cannot send messages from my Sky Mail account. Instead I get an error message saying unable to connect to this server. If I select another of my mail accounts to send the message, it works fine.

The settings (which I have been using these unaltered for years) are;

Name: smtp.tools.sky.com Port: 465 Security: SSL/TLS Authentication: Normal Password

My User Name and Password are correct. I can log into my Sky Mail account direct and send and receive mails using it OK. I continue to receive mails in Thunderbird as usual without any problem.

Why does my connection to this Outgoing Server fail ?

I have an OLD Yahoo account that I have Thunderbird check along with my other accounts, although there is never really any new mail that comes through it. Anyway, just in the past few days Thunderbird pops up the following window asking for my credentials for imap.mail.yahoo.com.

The odd thing is it seems to go to casalemedia.com

Has anyone else noticed this just recently happening?

Thanks

By using the last version of Firefox (74.0) when visiting a website with security connection I got the following error : "Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to .............. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem." With the previous versions of Firefox there was no such problem and I could visit the above website. So, please inform me what happened with ver. 74.0 ? By ver. 74.0 is no more supported some older security protocols which might have the above website, or this is a bug by the new ver. 74.0 ? Please inform me how this issue can be fixed ?

I need to show the senders email address in the list of columns displayed. I have already unchecked the box in Tools--Options-Display-Advanced [to show only display names]. I have also already been using the Show Address Only plugin which worked for many version of Thunderbird, but it no longer works. [I'm using Windows 10 x64, Thunderbird latest 68.6.0 x32] I sent an email to the developer [in Russia?] today asking if he is going to be updating it to support versions 68.0.* +. However, I really think this should be a feature in EVERY email client. It is an aspect of 'email.' Anyway, I do thank you for such a great plugin regardless and hope my suggestion/request raises a discussion somewhere :). P.s. Just realized this is going to community, not the staff necessarily so just pretend you're hired for a few min. :P

If I missed a way in settings to make this happen currently, my apologies, and please let me know how.

Thanks again!

some time ago thunderbird was operating normally. i since updated the antivirus software to a newer edition of ksos. after that, when loading i got the confirm security exception and my pop3 account was operating normally. after a week or so, i pressed the get icon two three times in order for the exception to appear. now, thunderbird starts and i dont get the notification at all, let alone save it permanently. the only way now to download email, is to exit kaspersky, not even pause protection, for the app, to download email without any notifications. if i restart antivirus, i get the connected to mail.com etc but it gets stuck there. also tried switching ports and no change... ideas?
