I am using Firefox 19.0.2 on Win 7.

When I go to private browsing mode all of my history is still recorded.

I tried it in Firefox safe mode and had the same problem.

I went through all the add ons and any extensions I could find that were suspect and disabled or deleted them This began after I had downloaded the latest Firefox. Now the browser does not work right, and I get these security certificate notifications on every site I go to - even on Firefox support. There were some programs that downloaded with the Firefox program and I have disabled all but Systweak. This is the only thing I have downloaded, and I even went back and trashed the first installation of Firefox and then went back and re installed it. I have ran the security software program that I have through the internet provider and nothing came up. ??? I am posting in Google Chrome.

This forcing us to click to activate crap is no good. Why do you have to because you're in this war with Adobe?

About an hour ago I noticed that the option to "ask me every time" on cookies, regarding privacy, was gone! All that's there, now is always or never. So, I uninstalled Firefox and then installed it, again, but it didn't help. That selection was still gone. I've always used this feature, and now I am very concerned. What happened? How can I get this feature back?

I'm cross-posting this in the desktop version forums since it applies for both mobile and desktop.

I really don't understand what is the logic behind the way the password manager was implemented, and it's a major no-go for me. The purpose of a master password should be that it is asked EACH time you try to show the passwords in plain text (in the settings), not once per session (which is also very annoying since the purpose of the password manager is to prevent you from having to enter passwords).

In other words:

If I enter my master password but leave the computer turned on or my cell phone on the table without closing Firefox (which most people do), then someone can go to my setting and have a plain text version of all my passwords instantly, which is pretty bad. The other thing is that while I understand that SOME people might want to enter their master password once per session, most people don't care about this and find this actually annoying and this should be optional. This is actually beating the purpose of the password manager which is NOT to have to enter any password. They are masked, and I do not care if someone opens my browser and views my facebook. What I really care about however is that they shouldn't be able to go to my settings and have an easy access to all my passwords in plain text!

So having to enter your password every session should be an option, while having to enter your password should be mandatory each time you open the password manager itself (or at least optional!). What a major security flaw for a browser that prides itself on privacy...

I have been using the forums at https://www.nsxprime.com/forum/ for years but recently both of my computers display the forums as text only, nmaking it unusable.

When I click the yellow exclamation mark preceding site URL address it tells me "Connection not secure. Parts of this page are not secure (such as images)". The is an option to "Disable Protection for now" but this only works one page at a time, so I have to disable protection for each new page.

Note this does not occur 1) when I access the same site in Chrome 2) for other users on NSXprime 3) on any other sites I access in my (daily) use of Firefox

I cannot find a way around this and I am commited to Firefox, so any and all suggestions appreciated.

(PS: I have a couple of relevent screenshots but the Browse & Upload function never completes here)

Turned on 2 factor verify in Gmail, turned it off, now Thunderbird will not load that account and keeps asking for password ???

I logged into gmail through browser, turned OFF 2 factor verification. (triple checked its off from different browsers)

Everytime I logged into thunderbird it would pop a browser to ask for gmail credentials, I'd enter, it would ask for permission, I'd approve and then its says authentication failed and keeps popping new window open every few minutes.

I went to security preferences, deleted passwords for that account. restarted thunderbird, same issue.

I removed the account, restarted thunderbird. Went to add account. and same pop up and then it THUNDERBIRD BOX it says alert Configuration can not be verified - is the password or username wrong?

I triple checked the password from multiple devices and browsers and it works fine. None of my other devices, browsers logins are having any issue.

It all started when I turned on 2 factor. I turned it off immediately, but stock here now...

PLEASE HELP, I've been using Thunderbird over 10 years and I'm at a loss...

The browser crashes about every two or three days. I have enabled all four boxes in preferences (Priv & Sec settings) but the crash reporter does not appear. Is there anywhere in the Fedora Linux system where I can get some info about why this keep happening?

If I try to update firefox browser (via "about") my system answers: It is not allowed because of administrator rules.

How can I overcome this barrier?

lately i notice when i log into facebook there is an icon near the lock at the top bar which restricts facebook. you need to tell it not to work on every fb page you log into. facebook is so big yet it says the icon is there as the https for facebook does not register as a secure enough site. how rediculous. its facebook as big as the planet. can firefox fix this and remove it and somehow accomodate facebook better because if its not fixed i will have to go to use google chrome and i dont want to. its driving me nuts. thanks

I downloaded an ebook but turned out it was not what I expected so I deleted it. But after that, I noticed that my search engine and homepage changed. I tried to delete everything I found related to the download I did in the control panel, managed to changed my search engine and homepage back. But whenever I start up Firefox, Awesomeph is homepage though when I click on the homepage icon, Google (which IS my homepage) would start.

I installed a malware software as what's advised on sites dedicated to that problem. Scanned and deleted the 19 threats found, restarted my system but still, Awesomeph is there. What to do?

When I went into Firefox Sync, I found that it was linked to my airport via its Mac address. I've removed it, but since then, my airport Mac Address is still listed under "Sync Options" and it comes up with all boxes checked (passwords, browsing, etc.) When I try to uncheck them and click "OK," it returns back to being checked next time that I look. Is this normal? Or if not, how does it happen? Thank you.

It seems Firefox definitely has some password link problems. It no longer asks me if I want to save new passwords and when I try to access passwords in security, it freezes and I have to hard quit. (See "frozen screen" grab attached.)

Hi Julian, Keychain Services Integration still not working in Firefox 32.0a1 (2014-05-29) I have bug reporting selected but can find no log reports for Keychain Services Integration in console. I have completely removed and installed fresh many times. All indications in the browser say it's active but nothing happens. I have disabled every other tool / add-on I use with no change. I'm not any kind of expert but can generally find some indication of problems. In this case nothing. All looks good but I still have to enter my passwords every time I open my regular pages. Thanks for the good work. I really miss the convenience.

When i upgrade to Firefox 36, i am having problem of "Add exception of untrust connection" with netscreen firewall.

The problem is that it will show the normal "this connection is nor trusted" screen with the button "Added exception of this website", but if i clicked on the button, nothing happened.

But this problem seems at the moment only with netscreen firewall web console (link is https://IP/nswebui.html), other website doesn't have this problem.

I tried to reinstall Firefox but this cannot solve the problem.

Would you please kindly help?

When I visit an https:// url on Firefox version 36.0.1 I am getting an exclamation mark instead of a padlock::

The same websites are showing identity information and padlocks when I use other browsers like Chrome or IE so the problem is with FF. I have no proxy in the tools>options>advanced>network>settings (so it's not that).

I'm on a Mac network and many of us are getting "Secure Connection Failed: The page your are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." This number of sites displaying this error is increasing. It was just Wikipedia.org at first, but now I cannot even access Mozilla.org! I have tried virtually all of the solutions that have worked for others to no avail, including:

- Uninstalling Firefox and installing version 40.0.2

- setting "security.tls.version.fallback-limit" to 0 or 1

- setting "security.tls.version.max" to 0 or 1

- disabling "security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128_sha" and "security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_256_sha"

- Uninstalling and creating a new profile

- Verifying no plugins or add-ons are causing the issue

- Refreshing Firefox

And probably others that I cannot recall. I wish I could post more browser details, but can't because I can't get on Mozilla with Firefox. Please help and many thanks!
