I want to delete all my web certs except for the top seven, which cover 99.32% of current web certs. I specifically do NOT want the EU Cyber Resilience Act to have the ability to insert their certs into my root store, enabling their member countries unfettered power to compel acceptance of their certs.

I tried following https://wiki.mozilla.org/CA/Changing_Trust_Settings, but this must be for an earlier version. I don't seem to have an Options/Preferences window. On the other hand I am pretty old & maybe just can't find it....

Any hints on how to do this?

This started when I received an email that spoofed my own email address and I marked it "Junk". The problem is that I send myself emails with reminders and other information that I want to access later. Now, whenever I send myself an email, it ends in Junk. I made sure my email address is in all of the address/contacts lists on Thunderbird. Every time emails from my own address end up in Junk, I use shift+J to mark them "not junk". I have done this at least a 100 times for numerous messages. I disabled junk processing, restarted, delete the junk folder, re-enable junk processing, start thunderbird again. How can I remove my own email address from the Junk filter?

I would like to access the emails I received and sent under an account that no longer exists. All the data is still local, in my profile and I can see a partial preview of the messages when I run a search in TB, but double-clicking on one of those only returns a blank page. What's the best way to read those ghost messages ? Thank you for your help,

I have spent the last TWO HOURS trying to find an answer to what should be a simple problem, and it seems not to exist!

I need to find out WHERE Firebird lists my email account PASSWORD.

I do NOT want to reset my password.

I simple need to know WHAT my password is, and since I set up the account [actually a few accounts] several years ago, my notes are evidently null and void, because none of those passwords seem to work.

My email is through verizon.net, which is one of the problems because they gave all of their email coltrol to AOL, which thouroughly sucks, and they seem not to have anyone who speaks fluent English who can assist me in FINDING the current password!

If ANYONE can help, it would be most greatly appreciated!!

Hi, I am not sure how it happened, I am now in a position where I can't use my Thunderbird properly. Every time I open TB, it asks for "please enter your Primary Password" which I don't have/deleted? If a try to remove the tick from "Use a Primary Password" it opens a box requesting my Current Password, I have tried the last one and the one before, none are accepted. When I search in Saved logins, it seems to me to be empty. in short I seem to need a current password to change my password. It is a vicious loop. I have search separated from the url bar, and I have Firefox Suggest configured to only use history for tab completion. I've noticed a couple problems.

• Search is being prioritized over options in my history. I have the separate search box, if I wanted to search I would use it. If I type a single character I want the most common result from my history to be the result of hitting tab.
• I've noticed recently that I'm getting sponsored results even though I have them disabled. It's somewhat inconsistent, and I've only noticed it in one of my profiles. Specifically I am used to "w <tab>" taking me to weather.gov but I'm getting sponsored results for AccuWeather. I clicked the "feedback -> not interested" button but this is concerning that Firefox is ignoring preferences and there's a pattern of sending data to Google and AccuWeather despite me configuring the browser not to.

I want to find to get rid of this or find the source of this so I can delete it.

In "about:policies" there are 2 Active Policies: "DisableTelemetry", and "DisableDefaultBrowserAgent" Also, in "about:policies" I'm not sure if it's related, but there is a long list of policies there too.

Initially, this configuration successfully restricted internet access on all browsers, including Firefox. However, recently we encountered an issue where internet access became available solely through the Firefox browser, posing a significant data security risk.

Upon investigation, we discovered that Firefox allows users to modify proxy settings, effectively bypassing our Group Policy restrictions. Unlike other browsers, Firefox permits users to adjust proxy settings without sufficient rights, thus overriding our established restrictions.

To mitigate this issue, we require guidance on enforcing Group Policy settings within Firefox to prevent unauthorized alterations to proxy settings and ensure internet access remains restricted. It's important to note that Firefox is exclusively utilized for development purposes on our server.

I have a droplet and domain at DigitalOcean. I’ve added users and I’m logging into their mail accounts with ThunderBird. I can send and receive mail between these users, but I can’t get mail from these mail accounts to Gmail and vice versa. No error. Also, when I checked the BlackList status, I saw that my droplet-IP address is in the BlackList: RATS Spam, SORBS SPAM, UCEPROTECTL3. How can I solve the problem?

Recently updated my galaxy s22 to android 14. Now Firefox does not suggest logins correctly for any sites. It knows that there is a saved login but the suggested option is 'purpled' out and no values are provided. Also when I navigate to settings it does not present the option to view any logins.

Hi, I am using Firefox vsn 120 for Linux Mint. I believe that I have the privacy and security set with the default settings.

However, Firefox seems to forget the information stored by websites, so that can't simply login.

Each. And. Every. Time. I have to go through the process of re-introducing myself to the security of the website provider who insists on sending me emails, SMS messages, etc. with codes to confirm who I am.

This applies, every time I use a site that requires a login (bank, BBC, Fidelity, eBay, Facebook....).

Once I have been approved on a site, then my login seems to work for a few days, up to a week and then off we go again with a new set of security codes. My settings do not delete cookies, and firefox is never closed, except if the PC needs a reboot, which is rare.

I would appreciate any help in settings that would allow me to use Firefox normally without having to enter security codes. Cheers, Mark

Hi, I did put a sender of a daily newsletter in the address book. I did use "Mark as Not Junk" with every newsletter of that sender in the last couple of months. . But Thunderbird always and every day lists the newsletter as Junk. (the sender is Smithsonian Magazine) So training the Junk filter does not work. How to change this failure of Thunderbird? When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.
