I accidentally told Firefox to autofill a password for a website. I have followed all methods I found on web & in Mozilla support without success., except I don't want to stop or delete ALL autofills. Firefox doesn't show this password as saved (even when I search for it by URL), and the "Saved Logins" section of "passwords & security" [in settings] NO longer exists. I do NOT want to delete all autofills. I also checked my settings for this website, and it is NOT causing the autofill. Please: How do I stop Firefox from autofilling of a password for a SINGLE website? Thank you!

I have had a Thunderbird email account for over 5 years (and donated often). Yesterday, my old computer "died" and I was not able to save any data or settings. So I have another one, and am attempting to set up another Thunderbird email account. For years, I have had an ATT email. To make sure of my ATT password, I accessed my att account and copied my password (1234Kf4321), which I entered into the proper field in the Thunderbird setup form. When I click "DONE" the "checking email" field displays a continues, looping circle, but there is no indication that the process of setting up my Tb. email account is complete. Please help! I'd like to have email access as soon as possible. Kenneth Fincher

I need to change my password however I am not succeeding.

I am trying to change it from the following path : Settings - Saved Passwords.

Once in the above path, I type in my new password and press close.

I then close thunderbird and when re-opened a pop up window appears to type in the password. When typing in the new password, the following error comes up:

Login to server secure.emailsrvr.com with username ------------- failed.

For thunderbird to continue working, I need to enter my current 'old' password. Somehow it is not recognising the new password.

Can someone please help ?

The password generator of Firefox is usually just adequate. However it sometimes generates a password I don't want to use. Maybe it contains a swear, or something gross.

I would have thought if I erased it from the input box, and then hit the option to suggest a strong password over again, it would give a different securely generated password. No go, same one again. I tried going into the password list and removing the password, then going back and hitting the generator again. Must make a new one, right? No, it stubbornly returns the same exact bad one.

What is going on, and how do I make Firefox actually re-do the password generation, instead of repeating the same one?
