I'm using the latest version of THUNDERBIRD for WINDOWS (now 10 HOME), but this problem has existed for years with previous versions of THUNDERBIRD and former releases of WINDOWS, both HOME & PRO releases. And, it seems to be very specific.

 When i receive e-mails from (especially) 2 friends who both use AOL as their e-mail client, when I receive them, the imaged files (or memes) are always 'converted into attachments, and what shows in the Body Text of the e-mails is empty boxes.  Yet, when I get e-mails from others, including from commercial sources, if there are images within the Body Text, they are present there. This IS very annoying because many times the e-mails I get from these two friends are technical e-mails, with clarifying images as part of the Body Text.
 When I have mentioned this to them, their responses are that n one else complains, only me, and so the problem MUST BE at my end, but that doesn't make sense, since when I receive e-mails from others (Gmail, etal.) any included images are fully where they belong.

 Secondly, WHY is it that when there are threaded e-mails in the Sent folder, the ARROW to expand the thread appears at the left side, but in the Delete folder the ARROW appears between the title of the e-mail & the next column?  This IS very annoying!!!!

Also, when I'm in the DELETE folder, sometimes only two options appear at the right side: Archive Delete, BUT in other incidences, there's a plethora of alternative options, and the Delete option is positioned in a different place. More often than not, I click on the option to send it e-mail to the Archive folder, when I really wanted to Delete it permanently. Another major annoyance!!!! Thank you robert herold

We have a ministry known as ECAM (it's an acronym).. How can I filter on subject lines without also getting every subject containing the word became?

I clicked the 'a' key on a folder in my email and a stack of emails disappeared. Some unread and some requiring a response! They're not in the archive folder.

Thunderbird ściąga mi cały czas pocztę i dubluje. Zapycha mi komputer. WIem, ze mam skrzynkę 50Gb a na dyzku mam prawie 200 Gb w pliku, wg mnie ściąga raz na jakiś czas pocztę. Co mam zrobić? Arek

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

I am on a MacBook Pro with Sonoma 14.4, and the lastest version of Firefox. The YouTube website will not load. It looks like the attached screen shot. I can access the site with other browsers. I can play a YouTube video with Firefox if I have a link, but I cannot see the rest of the page - just the video itself.

Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. I have two audio device plugged in. firefox only outputs to the usb devise even though i have selected the aux out on windows. all other programs use the selected audio out but not firefox

any help would be appreciated

When I answer an email TB adds Re: (or Fwd: ) in the subject line which I have laways found annoying. My previous email client allwed me not to have this happen. Is it possible to stop this?

It is possible I have asked this previously, but if so, I cannot find this and have received no replies. My apologies if I have!

My customer has a problem since about a month on Firefox (using it on a Terminal Server). The top of Firefox gets hidden by white and grey "bar" and he can not even use the "functions" of buttons behind that. -> Please see attached Print screens Lower part of the Favorites-bar is visible and also works if he clicks on it - everything above not visible and does not work for clicking.

The problem only comes up from time to time maybe once or twice a week. When he minimizes Firefox the application behind is visible normally. when he maximizes it again, same problem still visible in Firefox. When he closes RDP Session and reconnects - the problem disappears. When he turns off the monitor where Firefox is visible - Firefox gets move over to the other monitor and the problem disappears.

I am not 100% sure if this is a Firefox problem or Remote Desktop Problem (or maybe an add-in problem). But until now it only happened on Firefox!

He is always on the last recent version of Firefox, we just updated today to the latest version again - but I can not say yet, if the problem would still exist on the latest version from today.

I added a browser extension Search by Image by Armin Sebastian some time ago and it worked just fine till recently. Now, every time I need to find some image I get the page with cute creature sitting and fishing in bucket of water with info stated: "Your search did not match any documents. Suggestions: Try different keywords." (screenshot attached). It happens every time, no matter what kind of image I'm looking for. I also added another extension Search by Image on Google by Gustavo Silva and it's the same issue.

Would really appreciate any help with it.

Hello, For some reason, over the past couple of months I have been searching for varied emails and they are missing! At one point, I found that some had been put in an archive folder (that I did NOT set up) and they were recent emails. I removed them from the folder, placed them back in the regular inbox and deleted that folder. When I could not find another very important series of emails today, after searching numerous ways, I looked in the server and missing emails are there. I did look at a number of email threads where other people reported similar problems... but couldn't figure out what applied to my situation and how to fix this. To show a specific example, I attached two images ... the first is my Thunderbird email account that shows one Email only on Feb 18, 2024. The Juno server image shows 7 emails on that same date, four which were important contracts that were sent to me. Can you please help me locate and retrieve these and other missing emails? I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem. Since the upgrade today, after I run Thunderbird once and close it I can no longer start it up again. I have to reboot or use Task Manager to kill it in order to run it. This is on Windows 11. Please help - not an acceptable workaround for long. Optionally, how do I downgrade to previous version? I should know better than allow automatic upgrades.

Adding a couple images below, when it has started successfully it shows as one of the Apps in Task Manager. When I close it, Thunderbird drops into the Background Processes but doesn't end. I have to kill it here in order to start it again.

Every day as far as I can remember, when I clicked on on The Fire Fox symbol I got a page of my favorites. This morning, and all day I get an Xfinity page. What happened, and how is it fixed? Xfinity says it's not their fault it's Fire Fox's problem
