I want to send a message to a lot of people as BCC letters. The default address is TO. It seems I have to change each one separately and manually to BCC. Very tedious work. Is there a way to rubber-band them and change them all to BCCs with one action?

I stopped using my original email account and started using a new one. I had created many local folders when using the original email. Because I kept getting error messages for the original email account every time I started Thunderbird, I deleted the original email account. I didn't realize the local folders would also be deleted. Is there any way to get the local folders back?

Hi I have used Outlook Express for years and I know how to configure "everything" I need within the settings pages because their settings pages are all "logical" with everything out in the open.

However, Thunderbird "hides" their settings behind buttons and confusing screens.

There are many tutorials that explain how to set up Thunderbird from the beginning, and show how to set up a new email account. But I have not been able to find a tutorial on how to change my email account password "after" I have been using Thunderbird for awhile.

I also see no way to change the incoming and outgoing servers. For example, I have changed from one hosting company to another hosting company and I need to use the new mail servers from the new hosting company and I do not see any tutorials anyplace that cover ongoing or day-to-day activities with Thunderbird.

Can you please change your settings screens to make Thunderbird easier for new people to find these normal and necessary items?

Also can you please point me to a tutorial that shows me how to change my email account password and change my incoming and outgoing servers?

I have a problem with "system integration" window.

Thunderbird shows this window on every launch. I've unchecked option in "Preferences->Advanced->General" (I have localized version, so maybe there is spelling errors), but it changes nothing.

Thunderbird version: 24.5.0 OS: Windows 7 SP1, x64

Thunderbird is default mail client according to system settings.

In my Thunderbird, (Linux Mint16- using American English) the word "honor" is flagged as an error. I know I can add it to my own dictionary but shouldn't "honor" be a recognized word? How/when does the spell-check dictionary get updated? How can I request that "honor" be added? Of all the things not to have in this organization, "honor" would seem to be the last. It surely cannot be that the word was omitted on purpose, can it?

I'm guessing that I don't speak any other languages well enough to check but I would be interested to know if the corresponding word is missing in other localizations. That's just curiousity but curiousity is a force to be reckoned with.

How to save attachments from several eMails at the same time. Looking to save all attachments from tens of messages without the need of doing it one message by one. Is there a way to do this?

I'd like to send out a group email about the death of the mother of one of the group members. I need to temporarily remove him from the group. How do I do that? I cant display all of the group in my address line so I can cut his out, & can't figure out how to remove him from the group. (I'm afraid the delete button in his info will take his info out permanently, not just out of the group.

I just sent an email to to 50 people and would like to save those email addresses as a list in Thunderbird. How do I do that?

And how do I save an address List in Thunderbird in an Excel spreadsheet? (I can do the reverse -- copy a column from Excel into a New List and it will create a List.)

I am involved in a nonprofit and these issues are very important in terms of managing email mailings, etc.

I imported my Yahoo contacts into Thunderbird. All my keywords were in the "Notes" field in Yahoo. After importing into Thunderbird, all these ended up in the "Other" field.

When I go into the search tool, it lists all searchable fields. "Other" is not included. Is there any way to search "Other"? Or is there a way to import the contacts in a way that lands the Yahoo "Notes" into a searchable field?

I want to transfer all my mails to local folders as soon as they arrive to Thunderbird and delete them from the server. I can do it manually by moving mails by hand, but I want this to be done by Thunderbird automatically.

After a few hour search, I found that there is an option about deleting mails from the mail server if I use POP3, but there is not an option for IMAP.

Important note: my mail cannot be set-up as POP3, so please don't segguest setting it up again using POP3.

I want to forward several emails in one email with one heading to a recipient -rather than forward several emails with different headings to a recipient. They are several parts of one topic and I want to group them and not have many individual emails that can get separated.

Can this be done. If so, how.

Updated to thunderbird version 31.0. how do I change my email composition screen back to the way it looked in the previous version?

In the new menu icon I do not have a help or submit feedback option.

Currently running Version 32.0. Since this was installed, my Contact List is not displayed in alphabetical sequence. Instead the contact seem to be displayed by Activity date and/or time, then by name sequence. Example, I had a 25 contact list in jumbled sequence, when I changed a piece of dat and found the changed contact was now at the top of the list! I changed a contact which should appear above this on and it also went to the top of the list. In this manner, I got the entire list in order. I then saw an error on one and corrected that contact data. That then went to the top of the list!

If I can provide any other information, please let me know.

I would like to upgrade my o/s to Windows Server 2012, however I need to know that Thunderbird email client is fully compatible under Windows Server 2012? Otherwise I will stick with Windows 8.1. I just trashed my server, so I am having to reimage Windows on my Drive C:, and was considering upgrade to 2012, or stay with 8.1.

How can I disable or bypass the "Mail Account Setup" wizard and just create a new account in the "Account Settings" panel? The "Mail Account Setup" wizard won't let me get that far without jumping through all its unhelpful hoops, and I don't know to disable or bypass it.

I recently switched to Windstream dsl and have 5 email accounts set up there. I can access the accounts through the web. I can set up the accounts in Thunderbird and can receive emails. I cannot send emails as it gives me an error trying to log on to Windstream's smtp server. Any suggestions?
