I have a Macbook laptop and I'm using a secondary screen. I use Firefox on my secondary screen, and anytime I hover over a bookmark or a button that has a tooltip, the tooltip shows on my primary monitor, instead of showing on the secondary monitor. Steps to reproduce: 1. Setup a Mac with a secondary monitor 2. Launch Firefox on the second monitor 3. Enable the Bookmark Bar and make sure you have some bookmark set in a folder structure 4. Open one of the folder so it drops down 5. Hover over one of the items in the folder SEE: The tooltip appears on the primary monitor floating over empty space, instead of hovering over the proper menu entry in the secondary monitor
I have attached a screen capture (obscuring some personal items).
Note: Some tooltips show in the right place, but all bookmark tooltips,
Other Google and Yahoo apps seem to work, but clicking on the Mail link does nothing.

Hi, I'm having login issues on a website. I use Firefox for my browser. I have a couple of add-ons and VPN. I have disabled them but it still does not work. I have tried Safari with no VPN and no joy there either. I have cleared all cookies, cache history, put tracking protection at standard and cleared cookies from the Profile Folder (read the article on Mozilla about this issue). I have taken Firewall off Mac and tried it withiut VPN. Still nothing. I have checked my ipad without vpn. I can login on that on Firefox (without vpn) but I want to use my macbook if possible.
It's strange because I managed to log in on the website first time no problem and then I logged out and back in again and it wouldn't accept the password change. it's for a course and the people organising it have reset the initial password again but I still can't log in (they can do it with my username as they have sent me a video showing me they can and saying that it must be my end).
I have previously had a login problem with another website with a 403 error but that works without vpn. This doesn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got four rows of eight top sites, not sure what the default order they're in is based upon, but it would be nice if we could have them arranged alphabetically, as an option. Is this possible, or must we move each individual one manually, to accomplish this?
Firefox is not loading type correctly - just a jumbled mess. Mainly in the headers and applies to a diverse array of websites. What is going on?

Hello, I have wanted to move from Chrome to Firefox for some time and I finally got to try it out today. Something that has bothered me since the beginning is that right clicking when the cursor hovers over text behaves differently than I'm used to.
This is the behavior I want:
Instead of those options in the contextual menu, the normal page options are appearing (Save Page As, View Page Source…).
Where do I change this behaviour?
Additionally, how can I make the contextual menu include the «Look Up "foo"» option as it does in Chrome (Mac)?
PS: check the names of the images; basically: Chrome; Firefox-what-I-get; Firefox-what-I-want

Many extensions ask for access to your entire browsing activity. While many extensions claim they are not doing so, this is not a technical restriction, but a policy restriction of their own.
In Chrome, there is a option within the browser to restrict extensions to operate within certain domains. For example, you could say that Honey is only allowed to run on *.amazon.com domains.
Is there a way to configure this option within FireFox? If not, what's the best way to request this feature be added? There are a number of extensions like Honey that are helpful for ecommerce and product research, but I want to provide a technical restriction to what data they can collect from the browser by restricting them to specific domains.
Thanks! Moose

Hi, I just switched from Chrome to Firefox. Everything is fine except this feature.
On Mac, you can set a text replacement in System Preferences > Keyboard > Text and use it in any input in any programs. It works with Chrome and other programs that have an input field. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Firefox :/ Is it possible to implement this? I would love to see this feature in Firefox.
I saw there are some Add-on for this, but I don't want to use them as there is already a feature in Mac.
I added an example screenshot. When I type "mymail", it automatically suggest what I set up before.
Thanks, best wishes.

Hi,
I am confused about the two ways we control cookies. Firefox says its blocks trackers ( ie cookies), esp third party ones, which are the problematic ones.
But when we surf, we see options to accept third party cookies. So far I always go ahead and select No. But could I be saving time by clicking yes; knowing Firefox blocks them anyway ? Shouldn't there be a way that Firefo sends information to the site I'm visiting automatically about my wish not to have third party trackers?
Thanks, Caroline

Hi Guys,
I have a problem when I'm waking up PC from sleep mode. Please help me if you have ideas or solutions.
In my case, Firefox doesn't accept any action (scroll, click). The only solution is terminate Firefox by cmd+Q shortcut, and after restart, it works properly.
I can see same problem with my Mac Mini M1 and Macbook Air M1, but it didn't happen on Intel Macbook Pro.
Here's my environment,
OS:Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.2 Firefox:86.0 Display:Dell Q3219U Connection:USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to Displayport
Thanks in advance,

Every so often when I am browsing and go onto a website the text becomes all jumbled as if it can't read the font properly. This has only started happening recently. It definitely seems to be a font issue as when I copy the text and paste it into a document it reads perfectly and if I close the browser then open it again the text is back to normal. It seems to happen after I've been using the browser for a while.

Every 2 to 3 days sometimes longer, Firefox will randomly reset itself and close out all windows and tabs to a single window and different search engine. Restore last session is never available when this happens even though I have that selected and checked and it does work when I manually close out windows and tabs myself so i know that preference is selected. My search engine preferences are always reset and have to restore defaults as well. Mac os Big Sur 11.2
Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this sudden mystery. Long time user of firefox on macbook pro and mac towers.

Hello,
Sorry if there is already a solution to my problem but I've searched for hours without success.
I live in France and I purposely set my system language to English to have everything in English but for some specifics french websites I want them to be displayed in french by default. (not all of thoses websites offers to remember the default language nor have a language switcher)
I tried all the extensions suggested on superuser.com but none of them work (anymore, I guess).
By memory I tried the following Mozilla Firefox extensions with no success :
Language Switcher Language Switch Quick Accept-Language Switcher
Also, the point is to "remember" the websites and default language because currently I always have to edit the URL to replace "en" by "fr" and then reload the page.
OS version : macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 Firefox version : 86.0
The other workaround I have is to use another browser with the French language set as default but I'm really looking for a solution allowing me to use only one browser for personal web browsing.
Thanks and have a nice day
