Windows restarted to update and all my 100s of tabs are lost (setting me back days of work!)... Firefox is set to always reopen previous tabs, but it didn't work. Recently closed tabs/windows are blank. The Restore Session page - about:sessionrestore - doesn't restore and lists no previous windows/tabs. I went into my sessionstore-backups folder and grabbed a previous.jsonlz4 that has some data but am not sure what to do with it.
Please help! This is a devastating loss of information, as I use my tabs as a to-do list and had many in-progress projects with resources that I cannot all recover just through history.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. Hello. Our organization is experiencing an issue where sound settings are not carrying over correctly to Firefox. Specifically, this is with speaker settings. In multiple calling platforms (tested in Genesys Cloud and Teams), we are not able to adjust the settings for the speaker that audio plays from. We can adjust the default microphone setting, but not the speaker setting. This is only occurring in Firefox (works fine in Edge and Chrome).
Additionally, we've tried adjusting the default audio settings by going to Windows > Sound settings > App volume and device preferences, and changing the settings specifically for Firefox on this page. This does not work. When we check Teams or Genesys Cloud, it seems like Firefox is just picking any default without a rhyme or reason.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes when I open a new tab and start typing an address, the tab disappears as if it never existed. Don't know how to replicate it, as it is random and happens just often enough to disturb me. Also not sure at which point the tab dissappears, while I am typing or when I hit enter.

Hi, this issue has been present for a long time for me, and with many versions of Firefox Nightly for Android.
I'm always using the latest nightly for browsing Youtube only, with a set of specific settings and addons (since we can't use profiles on Android yet)
My problem is I've configured the Homepage to never show anything but a few URLs I chose to pin, you can see my settings and my homepage in the screenshots attached.
Despite the "Recently visited" setting being disabled, sometimes, but not everytime, the last pages I visited are added to the Homepage, after the pinned sites. I have no idea what triggers it or not, if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

Previously, for years, selecting and deleting groups of emails took only seconds. For sometime now, the more emails selected to delete as a group causes the amount of time to do so to become longer and longer. Minutes go by. It feels like instead of dealing with all of them at once, it's deleting one at a time, but that's just a guess. What can I do to get back to where it used to be? Thank you.

When I start T'bird in normal mode, I get what you see in picture #1. Notice the custom menu bar at the top. I can still receive emails into the Inbox (but can't see or access them), and I can write an email, access the Address Book, Calendar, etc.
When I then start in Safe mode, with Shift key down, I get what you see in Picture #2. Notice that the custom menu bar at the top is gone. I have to recreate it every time I shut down and restart T'bird. That is unacceptable.
Please advise what I should do to correct this situation. If I can't, then I'm through with Thunderbird (after some 15+ years).

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.
It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

Our organization uses GoDaddy which worked fine with Thunderbird until GoDaddy migrated to Microsoft Exchange 365/Outlook. According to GoDaddy, Microsoft does not allow any of the authentication protocols offered by Thunderbird for SMTP outgoing messages.
Thunderbird has helpfully added a Microsoft 365 option for SMTP settings in the latest update, but when you click that it says that you have to get a third-party paid app called OWL to make it work.
My question to Thunderbird: is this going to be the only answer to this problem or is it being worked on? Background is that the organization I work with has the GoDaddy Account so I have no control over that choice. I've used Thunderbird to keep my email out of the clutches of Microsoft Outlook and would like that to continue. I've also been donating to Thunderbird for years so I'm not opposed to paying. I just don't think I should have to use a 3rd party app for basic functionality.

No more. For about the past month - click a link - wait for a long time with FF frozen - the a wheel starts rotating - after a full minute (or more) the save dialog appears.
Something has been broken in the mad-dash to push updates. It's fine for browsing, but the, you need to download. At that point you wish you were using a different browser (any other browser, in fact) since FF is the only oe that has this problem. Downloading works fine in a 8 chromium browsers that I have and in the 5 FF clones (like Waterfox)
It's just FF that's broken. I can no longer afford to set it as default because of this. The others are not perfect (WF won't activate Pocket, foe example) but downloading promptly is critical.

I'm about the 100th person to have this problem, so I have spent the better part of two days looking at all the threads and possible fixes. Like all the others, with no warning, my TBird stopped being able to send messages through Spectrum. It did NOT start immediately after I updated TBird to 115.9.0 (in March) but just three days ago. I have three roadrunner addresses in TBird, and one other one associated with a website I have. All have the same problem. My phone and my iPad send messages just fine.
I tried all the fixes that worked for some. They didn't work for me; I continued to get various, inconsistent Send Message Errors. I have come back to the recommended Spectrum setup for the outgoing SMTP server: mail.twc.com, Security is STARTTLS, Port 587, Authentication is Normal Password, my username is my email address. Of course the problem is not fixed.
What DID work was putting TBird in Troubleshooting mode, using the Spectrum setup above. While that is adequate, I would much rather find out what is wrong. I have Matt's 10/7/23 11:56 AM answer to someone, asking for the Troubleshooting Information. I will be glad to supply that but I need an answer to this message in order to do that. Thanks! Demaris
