OK I will try to be nice but I have wasted 4 hours trying to Place the cursor in the Search Text Box I have tried a suggestion found on a Firefox Help post with NO results I set all these configs to False using about:config browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled browser.proton.doorhangers.enabled browser.proton.enabled browser.proton.modals.enabled browser.proton.places-tooltip.enabled browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = False Let's be real searching from the address bar is like having a Castrated Prize Bull. It is worthless

What I want to accomplish is when I open Firefox I want the cursor in the Search Text Box and I want to search from that little text box If I use this link in Pocket https://start.duckduckgo.com/ I get the behavior I want My view of using this procedure is Pocket is just a shortcut bar and is a little like the Bull Current OS is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit very locked down Firefox ver 96.0 I would also like to know how to remove my login information after my question is answered

i am getting YAHOO! Gemini ads in my email inboxes when i log in with firefox version 96.0.3. on my imac running software version 12.2. When i log in via other devices the ads do not appear,

They always appear at the top of my inbox list, and when i double click them it takes me to the advertiser's web page.

I don't think it's malicious, but it's definitely annoying.

Is there any way to stop this crap???

This extension is preventing me from using my Firefox browser. When I enter any URL address and click Enter, the browser goes to a continuous search mode. The URL is never found.

This is the address on the pop up tab: moz-extension://a3413469-7bfd-4c15-be38-21f71d0ee74d/content/ui/privacy-prompt.html.

The tab has a heading, “Norton Safe Search.” Is this a Mozilla extension? Is this a valid Norton extension? How can I get around it.? I would like to use my Firefox browser again. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm running 96.0.3 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Firefox has suddenly started having trouble with my local library's website. Chrome loads it just fine. Here's a sample URL:

https://jocolibrary.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S36C592151

Firefox tries to load that for 60 seconds or so and then says "504 Gateway Time-out The server didn't respond in time. "

When I go to the main site:

https://jocolibrary.bibliocommons.com

Firefox will load it, though it takes a while, and everything seems ok except it flashes the message "Could not retrieve availabilities via API. Baker_And_Taylor short-circuited and fallback disabled." When I try to use the Search function on the page, I get the 504 error mentioned above.

I've tried running Firefox without add-ons and the same thing happens. I've tried deleting the cookies for this site as well.

Firefox has never had trouble with this site before late last night.

Hello,

Today I cannot get onto three of our websites using Firefox, but other people using different browsers *are* able to access them. Refreshing the pages, rebooting, and clearing the cache in Settings did not help. What do you think is causing the problem and how can it be resolved? Thanks.

Here's the message that displays (changed the website name to xxx below) for me on all three sites (appears to be an SSL issue but as mentioned above, others can access the sites using different browsers).

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to xxx.com. Peer’s Certificate has been revoked.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

As these screenshots indicate, regardless of my zoom level, only the text and symbols seem to get smaller but the website's layout and images are too zoomed in.

I do not want to clear my history and cache to resolve this issue because it is exclusively a problem with letterboxd.com. The site is fine on other browsers.

When I play HTML5 audio Firefox adds an extra line to the tab title with the word "PLAYING". This causes the main window to resize vertically. Any content that is sized based on the height of the window is also resized which causes a visible 'glitch' in the display. My specific use-case is a music rehearsal page that displays an SVG of the music score beside the HTML5 <audio> controls. The height of the is defined, in css, as 'height: 100vh;' so that the whole page is visible. I would like to be able to revert to Firefox's previous behaviour of displaying an icon _beside_ the tab title. Any other solution that does not increase the height of the tab could also be of use.

Thanks.

When I go to bookmark a web site, as I start to type the bookmark folder name it vanishes.

I have to go into the bookmarks folder, find the no name folder and type in the new folder name.

As I start typing I have to enter the first letter twice as first strike does not work.

I have thousands of bookmarks which are set up in a Book, Chapter, Paragraph, Sentence format. So when a new folder goes missing it is easy to find the unnamed or a folder with no name. Thank you for the help.
