Using v.80.0.1 (according to FF/Help/About) on Win10-64bit. Cannot log into godaddy.com. Error message is "Yikes! Something went wrong. Please, try again later." Works fine with Chrome, so have to believe it's in FF. Tried changing various settings in Options/Privacy& Security. Anyone else having issues, or better yet, a solution??

This is a little hard to describe, but pressing sideways on the wheel on my thinkpad mouse changes what is displayed on the screen. It appears to go back and forth through the history list, depending on whether the wheel is pushed to the right or left. Not talking about rolling / scrolling with the wheel, but pushing sideways on it.

How can I stop this?

mousewheel.default.action is currently = 1 mousewheel.with_shift.action = 4

Not sure what these settings do, but somebody suggested them.

Aside from the general usability issues caused by nags screens and constant prompts in software, for various specific reasons I need to disable the update nags that appear every day in Firefox.

This used to be possible with a simple reminders setting in Firefox, which the developers now appear to have removed.

How can this be done now?

I want to disable the annoying update notification popup that firefox keep throwing in my face. I have searched the web and the forum and it seems like every version of firefox has a different method for doing this.

I am presently using version 80.0.1

Does anybody know a way to stop these popups in this version?

I know that this forum is run by volunteers - but a message for the developers: LEAVE IT ALONE You had a nice little browser until you tried to make it the answer to a maiden's prayer for everyone. Now you have a buggy, annoying piece of bloatware that is just pssing people off. Nice work bucko.

This site https://app.wire.com/auth/ is not working properly after update to firefox 80. I see login screen, press arrow to login then server sync starts and stops after a second and I am back at login screen. Worked fine in firefox 79 this morning.

When logging in to my bank account and requesting an authentication code, my cursor used to automatically refocus and i would be able to start typing in the code in the appropriate box without looking back up at my to click on the box first. Now I find myself typing in the code several times before I realize I'm not typing anywhere at all. Does anyone know if this is a firefox update or an update my bank did with their website? anyone have any idea for a fix?

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox. I have a Logitech - G502 Hero gaming mouse that, when used with Chrome, automatically mapped 2 buttons on it to Page Back and Page Forward. In Firefox, those buttons now invariably start the locked scrolling function.

Is there a way to change the mouse shortcuts so they function like they did in Chrome?

Even though I choose the option to reopen firefox and existing tabs when I restart my Macbook Pro, Firefox disappears completely from my computer & I have to use google to find and restart it & then sync to my iphone.

Where is the Forum? This is a FAQ-Site, not a forum? Why do you make it extra hard to file a bug? Or to go on an actual forum/board? What community is supposed "to help"?

Unwanted tabs (as many as 10 last time) keep opening when I'm on Facebook (and sometimes Amazon) even though I don't click on anything. It's driving me nuts. How do I stop it? Thanks.

I just downloaded 82 after being bugged by the "can't update" notice...82 does the same thing immediately after loading????? I'm getting close to giving in and going to another browser. Bruce

Firefox V80.0.1. Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6

Everytime I open Google maps (.co.uk or .com) it immediatley crashes. Fine on other browsers (safari, chrome) and all other websites. Just seems to be google maps.

I would like to give my little brother my pair of headphones to watch youtube, and for my class lectures that I have to watch, I would like to listen to them through the screen, or vice versa. And of course I would split the windows up, his screen of youtube on the left, and mine on the right.

Once upon a time when trying to create a blank tab, I accidentally typed "about:blank/" and this command doesn't work if the backslash is there.

Now anytime I want to create a blank tab and I type "about:blank" it automatically includes the backslash.

Because this phrase/command doesn't show up in my search history, even after clearing all of my data, Firefox keeps "helpfully" popping that backslash into the field whenever I start to type the command.

How can I make Firefox forget I ever made this stupid typo?! (Would clearing "Site Preferences" and/or "Offline Web Site Data" work? I admit I haven't cleared those two things.)
