I followed these instructions:

In Firefox browser, type about:profiles in url bar. Under the profile that is in use. Click Open Folder on the Root Directory row. If that folder does not have a chrome folder, create a folder, name it chrome. In the chrome folder, create a file named userChrome.css

Then I put in the code, but nothing has changed.

Here's the code. If someone can look at it for me, that would be great. I didn't make it, but it seems to work for everyone else who uses it.

I was a big fan of the Tabmixplus extension and left FF when it became permanently disabled. Chrome has it's own issues for me and the Waterfox browser was clunky compared to the newer FF (and I worried about security issues).

So now I'm back to trying FF with the 66.03 ver and hoping I can replicate some of the simpler functions that I had with TM+. One of the first is to customize the toolbar so I can get text instead of icons. My brain works better with words than pictures... I'm constantly trying to guess what the icons are supposed to do. It seems like such a simple option to have text but I've not been able to find it. Am I missing it somewhere? Thanks.

I've been using Adblock Plus with Firefox for some years now without any problems. Just recently; every time I open Firefox, I get a message saying that Adblock has been reset, which means all my filter apart from 2 default ones, have been removed.

This means I have the tiresome task of reinstalling them each time I open Firefox.

I first thought the problem was with Adblock, but after contacting them and uninstalling and reinstalling Adblock, it didn't fix the problem.

I then tried it on Chrome and other browsers and it is fine.

So that has led me to the conclusion that the problem is with Firefox.

Any thoughts?

Similar to the question here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1239720 I'm finding that on a Mac I'm getting inconsistent results. If I hold CMD while clicking on a link in Gmail then I will be taken away from the tab I'm currently looking at and straight to the new tab.

If I'm on other web pages holding CMD and clicking on a link means that the new tab will open in the background and I will stay on the current tab. This is the expected behaviour and is consistent with Safari, Chrome, and other browsers.

How can I stop FF from taking me away from the tab I'm currently viewing?

This is a hard one to provide steps for reproduction. The next time it happens I will take a screenshot.

The issue is as follows:

I'm on a 64 bit Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS machine, with Firefox 66.0.3 installed. Every now and then (roughly once every 1 or 2 hours) I will do something in the browser, whether that be open a new tab, press play on a YouTube window or something else, the window will turn invisible. The frame of the window with the name of the tab up the top is still there, and I can drag it around no problem, but the actual content of the window is not there, I can see straight through it. At this point I've sort of ruled out it being an OS related issue, as Firefox is the only program on my system that seems to have this issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using all the default FF fonts, set all the sizes to 18pt which is how I've always had them, unchecked 'Allow pages to choose own fonts'...etc. Tried unchecking 'hardware acceleration',which made no difference. This wasn't happening an hour ago on the old windows installation, the Twitter translations were the same size as every other font on Twitter. Any idea how I can fix this? I can't read them at this tiny size.

ps: I reinstalled Windows 7 after once again trying the completely useless Win 10 on this pc. The same problem with the font sizes was on the Win 10 installation. On my laptop I have Win 10 and the fonts are fine on twitter translations there, they are more or less the same size as the main fonts.

Pretty annoying to be looking at a Duck Duck Go screen while Firefox is telling me I should add it.

Used to only be something the dumb android app did, now its on my PC browser

I'm kind of a Firefox fan, but there are some things that get very annoying. This is another forum I'm sure, but the android app is hardly usable its so slow to load, I end up opening Google which is antithetic to why I have Firefox. And when I DO wait on the app, and Duck Duck Go loads...there it is, a Firefox ad suggesting I get Duck Duck Go...that I already have!

I'm having problems with my dropdown notification and profile menus at this particular site:

https://splinternews.com/

The problem only started after the patch for v.66. The problem is that when I navigate to the site, the dropdown menus - which you get by clicking on the numbered icon or profile icon in the top right of your page after you log in - work sometimes and other times you can't. I makes the site mostly unusuable since you can't see your notifications. It's kind of a crap-shoot. I thought messing around with and toggling on and off "Performance" standards might work, and it appears that it does change things for a minute or two, but then it ceases to matter.

Do I need to downgrade? Where is the downgrade page?

FF 66.0.3 (64-bit)

Cookie AutoDelete - I have checked "Localstorage Cleanup (Firefox 58+)?". But many sites remain - Cookies are deleted but storage persists. Or perhaps the Cookies listed are still there, even though it shows 0, because Data column still shows an amount.

In the developer's thread on GitHub, it is speculated that this is a FF issue:

"@pezz @planket2

I'm not sure how firefox displays the storage size completely, but based on my interpretation from the following screenshot, it's a firefox thing (or a bug on their end) and not a bug with this webextension itself."

https://github.com/Cookie-AutoDelete/Cookie-AutoDelete/issues/512

NOTE - JUST DISCOVERED - It's even worse - FF definitely is not clearing Cookies and Data -

I've just done the following 3 times with the same result each time:

FF: Cookies and Site Data / Manage Data / Remove All - Everything disappears. I close it, then reopen manage data - they are all back, including ones for which I am not on their site currently (no tabs open) - such as

www.theguardian.com 0 48.0 kb 17 hours ago www.facebook.com 0 48.0 KB 2 days ago secure.agoda.com 0 96.0 KB yesterday

NOTE - Facebook.com from 2 days ago reappears, although no tab open on facebook.com, I"m using Cookie AutoDelete, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin.
