I have been using Adblock Plus for years now. Currently I wanted to install it for another Laptop noticing that it has permission to access all the website data. Can they also send this data to their servers? Of course they say they don't: "What kind of personal data do we process? [...]

   Browser version
   Extension version
   Operating system
   Date of last update
   IP address
Additionally, you may manually submit the following information about a web page with a bug using the Issue Reporter: URL, blockable items, matching filters, active filter lists (voluntary)

" (https://adblockplus.org/privacy) As Wladimir Palant himself wrote (lead developer): "That is, unless you suspect that we will turn evil and start snooping around behind your back" (https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6655)

But even if they would, it's open-source, so people would realize it, right? So I should trust the extension, even if it could take my passwords in theory? Btw: I trust mozilla for being used as linux standard browser & being open-source & being non-profit ;)

Thanks in advance for your opinion/corrections Paranoid greetings ;) Manu

The last time this happened was when FF60.0 was released. I reloaded the updates several times but had to go retro till 60.0.1 came out and fixed the problem. Now it's back , I can't pay bills, shop, or even research! Those acts require webpage dropdown menus or captchas for access.

I love the Idea of firefox and have used it for a decade. Please fix this and don't force me to use one of the mercenary companies

Firefox automatically updated itself and installed "Firefox Quantum" 60.0.2 I see - 64 bit - on Windows 10 on a Dell laptop.

Never had this problem before - but when loading Ebay pages, the main body of the advert page fails to load and the full message I get instead is below - I've tried switching the proxy settings to "No proxy" or "Use system settings" and sometimes page loads correctly once but then it fails again! Have cleared cache/cookies, have refreshed, have restarted ...

Very frustrating and this is about to lead me to give up finally on Firefox and move to Chrome.

Hello all!

Perhaps any of you have encountered the same problem. If you try to access Youtube account menu, it will get stuck loading forever. On Google page it is working fine. The problem only exists in Firefox. I disabled all addons, also reinstalled Firefox but with no success. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance! Jyrgen

In Preferences->Privacy & Security->Cookies and Site Data->Manage Data... the list of cookies is empty, although I'm sure, there must be some cookies.

My Firefox Version is 60.0.1 (64 bit) on Ubuntu. History is set to Firefox will never remember history. Accept cookies and site data from websites (recommended) is checked.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Since a recent upgrade (to the new firefox) FirefoxCP web content is out of control sucking up over 100% cpu often on Macbook pro

Googled it but no way to fix this mega bug. Ready to dump Firefox unless you hopefully give me some tips. Thanks in advance.

Even if I have just a handful of tabs open the sucker is hogging my system and itself. Firefox has become completely useless.

Firefox had an automatic setting that cleared the cache at 350. I would clear my cache every time I turned on my computer. Now, it seems to be encouraging cookies from everywhere and everyone with no limits all of a sudden. Why the switch? Why wouldn't I want to keep clearing my cache as I've always done? Why the switch, Firefox???

Firefox versions in the 50's had been doing pretty well minimizing crashes. I updated to v.60.0 recently, and it constantly hangs. Fortunately, I usually have more than one tab open, so I simply close out of the hanging tab(s), and can usually just open a new one without it having to bring the entire browser down. Aside from that, it's just really slow and problematic. Not sure what was changed. In any case, here are the crashes I had just yesterday:

bp-cd57c830-ab65-46f5-b007-c18be0180513 bp-4d483162-7e08-484f-bd7e-9dfbe0180513 bp-4a7c4094-557e-4ea7-a047-af3f30180513 bp-a9eb3715-8739-4a43-a27b-8a4fb0180513 bp-18b954f6-8340-4074-b1cb-4a2160180513 bp-5254ff5f-8ee0-4d27-88ea-915570180513 bp-41c8b7f5-68a0-4ccc-940a-430ac0180513

Just from tonight:

More shutdown kills, unfortunately. I hadn't been experiencing this for many versions and thought it'd been solved.
