Hello and thank you for your time. I've looked all around for an answer to my question but found nothing related to my problem. I've also had assistance in the past with this problem and temporarily fixed the problem but not for long at all. When i try and go to a specific website that I've been to before and have seen the captcha box appear, there's nothing there or it says recaptcha status in black bold letters. Previously i got an recommendation to clear cache and cookies of the website, update java and turn the browser into safe mode and restart which temporarily worked until i closed the browser and then the problem persisted even after doing it all over again? Please help!?

Just upgraded from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016, now OWA in Exchange 2016 will not open in Firefox or Chrome, it will open in IE and Microsoft Edge.

Here is the error I get in FireFox:

Your connection is not secure

The website tried to negotiate an inadequate level of security.

my.domain.com uses security technology that is outdated and vulnerable to attack. An attacker could easily reveal information which you thought to be safe. The website administrator will need to fix the server first before you can visit the site.

I have google this for 2 days now and have double check all SSL certs, permission settings etc, and I don't know how to fix this, if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks John

The listed solution for installing Outlook.live.com mailto hasn't worked for me on Firefox 49.0.1.

I get the appropriate response when installing the "string" via the Web Console and I've clicked on "Add Application" and selected "Use Outlook.com OWA to" as my default mail, but when I invoke "Email Link" to send an email, the "To:" field is not blank, but populated with a long string (attached). The body of the email is blank

This is a new feature that has just appeared, but I don't need it (it's indicated in a red box in the attached screenshot). However, it takes up space on the bookmarks pop-up window. I suppose it's a sign that I need to clean and organize my bookmarks, but I still would prefer to turn it off so it doesn't appear in the pop-up. I'm using Firefox 49.0b1 on a 2013 MacBookPro running OS 10.10.5 Thanks!

I am having same issue like user there: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1139845 (only i have different OS)

When having multiple tabs open, Firefox never ask me for confirmation when i click Firefox window close button in the corner (usually accidentally). And i want confirmation.

in about:config i have:

browser.showQuitWarning true (this is marked as customized (bold) value, like default is false)

browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab true

and when i close Firefox (usually accidentally) i receive crash reporter window which i usually submit.

update: one member claims that close confirmation is never shown for single window Firefox, only multiple Firefox windows. I think this is bad idea s probably half people not using multiple windows, only multiple tabs.

I've updated several times using the automatic update system, but the "update ready to install" window kept appearing. I've been using Firefox for years...since early 2005 and it has been a dream. But recently it has started to crash and the Plugin container regularly uses 50% of my memory and this has increased to over 95% causing the computer to freeze altogether. Even trying to open task manager to close Firefox has on one occasion taken 20 minutes. This seems to have only recently started to happen since I "upgraded" to Firefox ver 49.0.2 I have tried installing earlier versions, but keep getting annoying popups to upgrade, so I've reinstalled 49.0.2. I know earlier versions may have security issues, but anything has to be preferable to the Plugin container taking over my computer. It still happens now, even thought I have disabled all my plugins/add-ons listed below I have an Acer laptop with 4Gb memory and running W 8.1 Help in resolving this would be appreciated Eddie

Hi all

I'm trying to customize Firefox for our company. My approach was to copy a fake profile (profile.default folder, profiles,ini, autoconfig.js, config.cfg) on each client. It's working pretty well so far but after each "installation" I got this annoying "How to change default browser in Windows 10" page. Is there any configuration parameter for this page that would allow me to skip it? Please find the content of my config.cfg file below:

try {

// Disable Reset Prompt when Profile is older than 60days lockPref("browser.disableResetPrompt", true)

// Disable updater lockPref("app.update.enabled", false);

// make absolutely sure it is really off lockPref("app.update.auto", false); lockPref("app.update.mode", 0); lockPref("app.update.service.enabled", false);

// Disable Add-ons compatibility checking lockPref("extensions.lastAppVersion");

// Don't show 'know your rights' on first run lockPref("browser.rights.3.shown", true);

// Don't show WhatsNew on first run after every update lockPref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone","ignore");

// Set default homepage - users can change defaultPref("browser.startup.homepage", "data:text/plain,browser.startup.homepage=http://LO2DashboardCH/dashboard|http://LO2ConsoleCH/console");

// Disable slow startup notification lockPref("browser.slowStartup.notificationDisabled", true);

// Enable DoNotTrack lockPref("privacy.donottrackheader.enabled", true);

// Disable save sign-on information lockPref("signon.rememberSignons", false);

// Disable tabs warn on open lockPref("browser.tabs.warnOnOpen", false);

// Disable the internal PDF viewer lockPref("pdfjs.disabled", true);

// Disable plugin checking // lockPref("plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin", true); // clearPref("plugins.update.url");

// Disable health reporter lockPref("datareporting.healthreport.service.enabled", false);

// Disable health reporting lockPref("datareporting.healthreport.uploadEnabled", false);

// Disable crash reporter lockPref("toolkit.crashreporter.enabled", false); Components.classes["@mozilla.org/toolkit/crash-reporter;1"].getService(Components.interfaces.nsICrashReporter).submitReports = false;

// Disable warn on closing tab lockPref("browser.tabs.warnOnClose", false); lockPref("browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs", false);

// Disable check default browser lockPref("browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser", false);

// Disable default browser button lockPref("pref.general.disable_button.default_browser", true);

} catch(e) { displayError("lockedPref", e); }

Thanks in advance Chris

Recently got an HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer which is wireless enabled. Firefox will not print to it. It appears to send the page off to the printer. The print queue appears but there are no documents. It makes no difference what I'm printing - an email, a page from a newspaper/newsclip, or a product description from a retailer. No error messages are produced.

I can print just fine from Microsoft IE or Microsoft Edge. I can print fine from locally installed apps like MS Office. Am running a Thinkpad E545 with Windows 10 installed. Windows 10 is current on all updates. I've run a full Lenovo hardware scan/diagnostic and the laptop came up clean. I've checked Lenovo support and no problems have been reported either by users or support team. However, I did discover an old post (03/20/2014) on Mozilla in which the user could not print to a wireless Cannon printer. After several pages, I found that a plug-in utility installed by the Cannon printer installer caused the problem. I checked the plug-in table and HP installed no plug-in. Have installed all HP drivers for new printer. Am running current version (49.0.2) of Firefox.

I can print to the wireless printer from Firefox running on a Surface Pro with Windows 10. I would really appreciate some help here. Thanks.

FF 49.0

There exist sites that put permanently non-scrollable panes at the top of their pages. This robs me of *very* valuable vertical real estate.

Yes, of course I can use F11 to get a full page, but for the headers that are on the page itself, this will do no good.

Does there exist a way within FF to make these regions scrollable so that I can get them out of my way?

Or perhaps an addon to do this?

THANKS!!!!!!

Win 10 pro, version 1607, os build 14393.321 Firefox 49.0.1

For the past few days some videos will not play in firefox, not on my laptop, my kindle fire and my galaxy 3 phone, and yet the videos work on any other browser (Chrome, Pale Moon, Edge) I have on my devices. It either says, "if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device" or the swirling circle just keeps on swirling to a black background.

I fix computers for a living and have done all of the standards: restarted my laptop, cleared cache/cookies, tested in safe mode, un/re-installed firefox, my drivers are the way they are supposed to be, ensured my plugins are all active and I had the latest versions of flash, java, and real player.

Then I went up a notch: installed a VLC add-on, disabled hardware acceleration and restarted ff, made sure my firewall and antivirus programs trust plugin-container.exe, and followed the instructions from here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-video-audio-problems-firefox-windows,

What gives? And why doesn't FireFox have a fix for this miserable problem?

SOLVED (for me): Installing YouTube Flash Player helped, but only for the youtube video part: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-player/?src=ss

Going to about:config, and changing media.autoplay.enabled from false to true, then restarting FF, fixed the remainder of the video problem.
