Firefox won't save preferences, passwords, or bookmarks. It also won't save bookmarks and settings imported from Safari. I've tried the help suggestions but nothing seems to work. All of the settings appear to be correct. I've reloaded the software several times. When I allow Firefox to import setting from Safari it takes over 40 minutes and then loses everything when I restart Firefox. I've tried starting Firefox in safemode but that doesn't help.

I'm using Mac OS 10.6.8 on an early 17" 2011 MacBook Pro. Everything else on the computer seems to be working fine.

Just ditched Chrome and installed Firefox on Windows 10. Overall great experience with one niggle. When I write an email, Ctrl + right arrow behaves as expected, except at the end of a paragraph when it skips the last word and jumps to the next paragraph. How to resolve this? Safe mode did not fix anything. Thanks.

This web site has always worked OK with Firefox on Windows XP. With the latest version, 42, it no longer works, although Internet Explorer 8 shows the web page OK. The page starts to load, and shows the background image, but the text and data do not display until I switch to another web site, and then the data briefly flashes on the screen before the new page starts loading. Since version 42 it's not showing any website properly. Not even in Safe Mode and even after resetting everything countless times. Even after uninstalling and re-installing it's same. Uninstalled and re-installed version 43; with default settings and all issues are still there.

As you can see in images, there are no problem with internet connection. Everything else is working just fine.

Recently I have started seeing an advertisement pop up for Firefox iOS and Android when I use Firefox on Windows 7. It takes the form of a notification bar just under the URL bar reading "Bring your bookmarks & passwords with you. Firefox is now on iOS and Android", with a "Get it now" button and an 'x' to close at the right (see screenshot attached). I've closed it more than once with the 'x' and it keeps popping up (perhaps only once per session, I'm not sure).

I'd like to get rid of this annoying little ad. I've looked through about:config and the regular settings, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to suppress it. Adblock Plus doesn't help, of course, because the ad seems to be built into the browser itself. Does anyone know how to stop this thing from nagging me every time I open up my browser?

I read earlier today that Tab Groups are being dropped because not many users use the feature and it's a costly feature to then maintain. But couldn't the issue be that people didn't/don't realise the feature is there? I didn't and had asked for such a feature to be added. So is the low update only caused by the fact that users aren't aware of the feature?

For the last couple of months (late 2015) Firefox has returned a "secure connection failed" error when I try to access my account at a major health insurance provider. The site worked fine in Firefox for years and works fine with Microsoft Edge, but I prefer to use Firefox. The "more info" link in the error message says the message indicates the site uses outdated TLS security and that I should contact the owners to tell them to update it. I tried that and failed; Blue Cross makes it even harder to "contact us" than Mozilla does.

Why is there no "I trust this site - go there anyway" option? I'm experienced enough to make my own security decisions.
