After changing my Windows, the aspect ratio in Mozilla is not good (either the letters are too small and the page is ok or the letters are ok and pages too big - images added below). Before changing the Windows everything was all right. It seems as if my screen is too small for Mozilla, although all other programs' aspect ratio is fine. I tried zooming in and out both the page and the letters, but nothing helps.

====================================================

After this crash LoadLibrary() and LoadLibraryEx() APIs stop normal operation until reboot, xul.dll remains locked by unknown process. That's why Crash reporter can't send report immediatelly; report sending becomes available just via about:crashes when additional annotations are impossible. After this fault system graphic APIs are globally spoiled (garbage in headers of the opened windows). All CHtmlView-derived windows (even belong to applications started before this crash) show empty contents until reboot. Fault having occured 1st time on some Web-page may not occure on the same page after reboot. Since this fault happens on pages not hardly loaded by data streams (e.g. Web-interfaces of e-mailing service), it looks either cumulative or garbage-in-constructor problem. Other hand, this can be either unsuccessful attempt of registering the ISR for INT3 processing or premature deregistering of this ISR before real need of its usage (i.e. syncronizing problem).

I got a new pc a few weeks ago and recently downloaded Firefox. I don't know if shockwave for director came with the download. But it's listed under PLUGINS. It shows a warning that it's vulnerable and should be updated. I don't want to do that. Even if I did update it, there isn't any way on the PLUGINS screen to REMOVE a plugin. That's what I want to do. I checked Windows Control Panel to unistall, but it's not listed under Adobe, Intel, Shockwave, etc. I read another post where people suggested some real techie things that I'd never want to try. Dear Firefox: please find a way to put "REMOVE" as an option to remove a plugin.

Just updated to FF42 and noticed a problem with the YouTube changing screen size. Specifically, when I change the screen to full size or vice versa from full to normal view the change it is noticably slower then before. I don't see this problem on either Chrome or IE9 and it only started with the FF 42 update. Must be something the way FF42 handles the resizing of the screen. I look forward to anybody's comments. Thanks

I use the built-in Firefox pdf viewer and think it's fab.

But if I try to print, I go to print preview and go through the page setup and it's useless because it assumes my paper is nearly SQUARE, and the only options I have are portrait and landscape. I use A4 paper, like most of the UK and Europe.

Obviously I can't bypass the print preview otherwise it ends up defaulting to the wrong settings.

Shrink to fit (default) makes it only fit the width (if I set the margins to zero - this is okay), but misses the bottom half of page because Firefox thinks my paper is SQUARE for some reason.

The only thing that works is to set the print zoom to 60% and have everthing tiny, which is ridiculous.

Any ideas? Is there a way of manually setting the width and height of the paper?

Thanks if anyone can help with this - my alternative is to use Toshiba Reader for PDFs, and it prints terribly so as to be illegible. The print quality on Firefox is great, if I could get it to fit on the paper...

Using an older AMD system with windows XP Pro. Set it to be a POSready system via the registry, so security and updates should be current. Firefox version is 42.0. Few weeks ago, amazon.com web site changed from full-featured display with images & graphics to a text only display. I believe this to be mobile mode. No other web site gives this problem. Using the amazon fullsite URL (http://www.amazon.com/?force-full-site=1) brings-up the splash screen correctly, but using any link to leave the splash page returns the display to text only mode. This seems only to occur on the amazon.com domain. Text only mode seems to appear whenever the URL contains "amazon.com", whether or not I am logged in. Leads me to believe that this is a FF issue, as opposed to an Amazon issue. Other systems with FF 42.0 work fine. Only this one machine malfunctions. (The one where I spend 6-7 hours a day sitting.)

Magnets worked! But then I restarted Firefox and the line dissapeared! So I re-created it. It did it every time I restarted Firefox except yesterday : It was there after restart but the value had changed to True!!! And today, the line has again dissapeared! Any suggestion? Should I call GhostBusters? :-) Thanks! SPC

This feels slow as molasses, especially when working with many tabs. It happens :

- On already loaded tabs (so you'd think just clicking on them would bring them to the forefront immediately).

- On a fresh install (a few weeks old).

- With no bookmarks at all.

- On a profile with only 6 extensions, including Tab Mix Plus.

- On a virgin default profile just out of install, with nothing else added.

I've tried to disable the real-time shields of my Avast Free anti-virus, to no avail. Note : I've moved my profiles out of %AppData%, but I don't suppose this is relevant.

I come from Opera (legacy version), which does not have that delay. Is this to be expected on Firefox ?

As an aside, long startup times seem to be the norm (9 to 16 seconds, in my case), and I'm not even sure this includes the Profile Manager startup time. I used to live in a world where launching a browser was immediate.

This happens whatever each tab is displaying. For example, if I open, say, 8 default new tabs it takes about 5 seconds to switch between them although all they are showing are links to my 9 top sites. I've also noticed that opening a new tab takes longer the more I have open already. The problem is uniquely with the tabs. Browsing isn't any slower than usual and as I say above, switching between Firefox windows in unaffected.

Hello, and thanks for reading my post.

For some reason, since this morning, my Firefox v42.0 has stopped recording my site/page visits into the History. (Yes, I know there's now a v43.0.1, and maybe a little after that, too, but I thought this was a fairly recent version, so I didn't anticipate that to be a problem...so please work with me to try and resolve this, if possible...thanks!)

I searched Mozilla's Online Knowledge Base and, based on what I saw there, want you to know that I've chosen "Remember History" (if I selected "Use Custom Settings", then I'd see an UN-checked box for "Private Browsing" with the other 3 boxes -- "Remember my browsing and download history", "Remember search and form history" and "Accept cookies from sites" -- all checked), so I don't know why this is happening. (Could the History somehow be "full"?)

Also, I searched my hard drive and saw an "Old Firefox Data" folder that included "places.sqlite" files from as recent as a year ago...but nothing anywhere that was more recent than that, and no such files anywhere else on my hard drive besides that folder...yet, there's History that shows up in the "Library" from earlier this morning, and earlier...but not later.

Any insights, please?

Thank you very much, Bram Weiser

Frequent, repeatable crashes when navigating to most websites. Some sites will work fine for months and then suddenly start causing the crash. (This problem has been going on for 6+ months - originally I just quit visiting a few of the sites, but now it's most any site I visit.)

Specifically, going to usps.com, frysfood.com, or even the support.mozilla.org site causes immediate crashes (well, a 2 second hang, and then crash, but no loading is completed) of the browser. Visiting some sites like zerohedge.com, which started causing them today, the page will load somewhat before crashing.

I tried posting about this on the MozillaZine forums but was not able to resolve the issue. I think I've tried everything - disabling all my addons/ plugins (the 'never activate' and then rebooting). Disabling hardware acceleration. Uninstalling, deleting folder, reinstalling. Creating a new profile. Refreshing firefox. Disabling Flash hardware acceleration, removing old versions of Flash and Java. My drivers are all up to date, and have been repeatedly updated as i went through this process. I've been repeatedly scanning for malware and viruses, and none are ever detected by Malwarebytes. I've tried Firefox safe mode, still crashes. (I even tried Windows Safe Mode with Networking - that actually let me browse normally, but I can barely use the computer in safe mode.)

One of my most recent CrashIDs - https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/e5bc09ce-c44d-49d0-8b25-7521f2151104 . I just really don't know what to do, at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I couldn't do the 'automatically add' because I have to submit this in Chrome. Even just sitting at the 'restore previous session' page now causes crashes.
