I am new to the forum have posted one question already but now I have discovered another problem. I can't sign out of Mozilla Support. This just started happening today and the only way I can sign out is if I clear the cookies. I have already tried safe mode for Firefox but that didn't work and I can sign out in a different browser like Google Chrome. I am allowing cookies but blocking third party cookies.

If anyone gots any suggestions please help and Thanks in advance.

Some Images opened in new window or tab are upside down or rotated 90 degrees, but display in correct position when using MSIE.

I don't know yet if this is a browser or a server-browser interaction problem. The problem manifests one some user forums where members post jpg images that appear as thumbnails. I can right-click and select "open in new window" or Open in new tab". Either way some images open correct, some open rotated 90 degrees out of position sometimes upside down. If I use MSIE the same images will open right side up.

Since yesterday (October 3) Firefox’s “show all bookmarks” (Shift+⌘+B) only opens in full-screen. I can edit the bookmarks but cannot exit the full-screen mode, close that window, access apple’s menu bar or any of the firefox controls. I have to quit Firefox (and can only do so with ⌘+Q) to get out of there. How do I solve this problem? Thanks!

I have a personal webpage hosted by IPage - lynnesgenealogy.com. I receive monthly visitor statistics on that page. For the last two months I have received a shockingly large number of hits (over 20,000) on my website from Asia (most IP addresses trace to China and Japan but not all). When raising this issue with IPage I discovered that I can no longer print the statistics page as I have in the past. I have cleared all cookies, caches, history, etc, etc. In Explorer I can only print one page (the report is several pages long) at a time - but in Firefox I only get a blank page. What's the story?

Hi everybody,

I just updated my Ubuntu Gnome and hence also Firefox to version 41.0. Now I cannot hear any sounds played via HTML5. Videos are played just fine, however.

I have already tried resetting Firefox, creating a new profile and even going back to 37 via apt-get install firefox=37.0+build2-0ubuntu1

None of this helped at all.

Because sound doesn't even work under 37.0 I do assume that the problem is rooted in some system update, but I still post this here and not the Ubuntu forums because this problem persists ONLY in Firefox playing HTML5 files (as far as I know). As soon as I force YouTube, for example, to use Flash everything is fine (except that it is using flash :D).

As I am not that confident with Linux yet I am not quite sure how to fix this. I don't even know how to best post some sort of debug-log or list of updated programs/files that came with the Ubuntu update. So any help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)

Hi, recently i have a problem with icons at firefox - some of them just plain disappeared from my navigation bar.

Usually i would go for view>toolbars>customize and then drag the icon back to navigation bar, but there i can't find the respective icons either (in my case Flashblock, Adblock Edge and Blur Icon).

Things i already tried: - "restore default" approach -> didn't work. - removing the 3 addons, then re-installing them -> didn't work - updating the addons -> icons still missing

Do you guys have any idea what to do to get those icons back? ;__;

thanks in advance Yato

I have many times set Firefox to remember history, close Firefox and reopen later only to find it has reverted to using custom settings. The setting to clear history upon closing is unchecked and should not affect. But again, the "Firefox will", resets itself when I close Firefox. Firefox acts this way on both my desktop and my laptop, so should not be a problem with a particular PC.

My email is via Comcast but since the phraseology in the box asks for Firefox, I thought maybe this was on you.

Thank you.

When I navigate to MSN, Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, some of the buttons that link to several functions or other pages only display as a square with no information as to button function. This problem, along with a tendency to hang up and freeze sporadically, started after the last update to Firefox 40. The freezing occurs randomly with no set timing or on no particular website but tends to occur more often on websites with music or video streaming.

When I want to open a new tab in Firefox (OS. windows 10) it won't let me. Clicking on the '+' sign or using ctrl+t does nothing. When I want a new tab, I've got to open a random link in a new tab and then use that one. Very annoying.

I've tried disableing all add-ons and extensions, did not work. I've tried starting up Firefox in safe-mode, did not work. I've tried reïnstalling Firefox, did not work.

Anybody with a suggestion?

Firefox 41.0 is struggling with any page that has Flash player on it. Sometimes it copes, but other times it hangs. I have noticed that when this happens, plugin-container.exe sticks at 50%. At this point you have to kill the process. There have always been tolerable problems with Firefox and Flash whereby it hangs now and again, or the Flash comes up with an option to kill the script, but with the latest 41.0 it has become too frequent to put up with.

A big reason why I didn't leave firefox years ago when everybody was going Chrome was because of the search box (https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/media/uploads/images/2014-05-22-11-30-43-51990a.png). I have more than a dozen sites there that I got from Mycroft and I use it anywhere from looking something up on ebay to search for subtitles. I usually do it in conjunction with the context menu (selected text, right click and search used to lookup the word using the active engine in the search box, which I changed depending on what I wanted to look for). Now I see that changing engines in the searchbox just takes me to the site in question, it doesn't seem to change the "active" search engine in the search box. Is this how it's supposed to work? If it is then _what_ is the purpose of having the search box there?

To be clear, I already found an addon that adds a context search menu that is quite useful but this post is to find out what the search box is supposed to accomplish in firefox now and if it can be customized to behave the way it did before.

When I "Bookmark This Page" while viewing a localhost/~username/target.html file, the actual bookmark is initially correct, but then changes to some long Google search I did a week ago. But when I bookmark 127.0.0.1/~username/target.html, it gets bookmarked correctly and stays correct. This started happening in FF V41. I've taken screen shots to show the change from what I asked for, and what I got. Notice the time of these screen shots, and the time of the entry in Notes. The first shot is when I already have "Show All Bookmarks" open, and bookmarked the page. I then closed the Library window, and did "Show All Bookmarks" again, the entry had changed. This makes no sense to me.
