Two major issues for me with Firefox 4.0 Beta 9, all to do with tabs

When I click "Open link in a new tab", lets say when I'm reading an article in an online site, it opens to the right of the last tab, instead of opening immediately to the right of the tab I'm viewing. This behaviour is not consistent, for example if I'm inside a website and I click on a menu, then it will open the tab immediately to the right, as I like. Sometimes it will not.

What is consistent is that when I click on any of the bookmarks I've in my bookmarks toolbar the tab will steal focus and it opens at the very end. This is actually quite annoying, because sometimes I'm just opening the links I would to check later on and not at the very moment.

Thanks

Under Windows 7, it was possible in Ffx 4.0b8 to see a preview of all tabs in the windows taskbar and select a tabs from the preview to show it. It was usefull, for example, only to check if the iGoogle page updates and there is new mail or this kind of things.

The taskbar icons looked like several pages when several tabs where opened.

Now, in 4.0b9, all this disappears, I can only see the preview of the actual active tabs and not the others tabs. I can't select an another tabs from the windows taskbar. The icon in the taskbar doesn't look like several page when several tabs are opened

Shortly stated - All my Google Fonts look the same in Firefox 3 (latest build) and Firefox 4 beta 9

I have tried disabling/enabling all plugins/extensions one by one and all at once.

I have tried removing Firefox 3 completely and installing Firefox 4 Beta to no effect on Google Web Fonts.

I've also made sure that Tools > Options has Javascript enabled as well as "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" - Advanced is enabled.

I need help please, I like to do all my web development in Firefox so going between Chrome and Firefox (works in Chrome just fine) is a bit of a pain.

Here's the screenshot of how my Firefox see Google Web Fonts (btw same applies to any page with Google Fonts or Font Previewer of Google.)

Here's my FF > Options > Fonts page -

Thank you for any assitance that you willing to provide.

When I updated to Firefox 5, I got a message that the Google toolbar was disabled as it wasn't compatible. I assume the same is true for version 6. After trying to use the browser without the toolbar for a few days I gave up and reinstalled version 4. Now I'm constantly getting pop-ups asked me to upgrade and I can't even submit feedback because you won't accept it until I upgrade. And version 4, which I never had a problem with before, is now very unstable and I have to shut it down at regular intervals to unfreeze it.

Do I need to switch to a different browser in order to use the Google toolbar?

I hope this is the right place to be asking these kind og questions. I haven't been able to find any answers to this, so I'm hoping for you to be able to answer me. :)

I love how the new Firefox 4 browser is progressing, and especially love the improved speed and thus the ability to use a web app such as grooveshark, which is now almost entirely based on JavasScript, rather than Flash. Since I'm now able to use Grooveshark I'm absolutely in love with the new idea of an app tab.

My two questions has something to do with the new app tab feature, which is as following:

Firstly: When I'm using an web app in my app tab, am I ever going to be able to hide the navigation bar? Is there made plans for the development of that particular feature?

Secondly: Is there made plans for persistent app tabs across multiple windows? I find it rater odd, that my pinned app tabs is not showing on all of my browser windows if should I choose to have multiple windows open. I know that this probably will be a bit difficult to implement. What will happen when interact with one app tab on one window, and then opens the same app tab on another window? Unless app tabs runs as seperate programs, it would be hard to maintain... But nevertheless my question is still the same. Is there made plans for persistent app tabs across multiple open windows? :)

Hope you can answer my questions since I have had a hard time trying to search for them myself in the interwebs!

I just installed the Firefox 4 beta, and removed the AppData settings from Firefox 3 so it would use a fresh config. Still, I'm having an issue that keeps me from using the browser at all.

Whenever I access google, Firefox gets stuck and becomes unusable. I can't click anything any more, although Windows doesn't report it as a stuck application either. If I click the close button, Firefox closes, but the process remains stuck and I have to kill it from Task Manager. I'm not experiencing this with any other website but google. Anyone know how this issue can be fixed please?

The Navigational Toolbar buttons like the Back, Forward, Reload, Stop, Home etc are spread across the entire toolbar. Earlier, they used to be clubbed together. Clicking Home or Reload was as easy as simply taking the pointer to the top left corner of the screen and clicking the button. Now, I need to really start hunting for the Home or the Reload button if i require to use it. Please can we club these buttons to one side of the page so that you don't have to look for them all across the toolbar?

Ok so it took me a long while to find how to move the cache location, and the reason is it's done by an entry that doesn't even exist originally, so a user would have to magically know the config string to even set it. (it's browser.cache.disk.parent_directory for those in the same waters as me) and it still did not move the profile location... To switch profile locations? The only doc that talks about it is here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder and it's not working so well for me (i.e. at all) but why do I have to copy and edit things? This is created automatically at first start so can't FF use the same method to create a new profile in an empty space?

And my actual question: is there any valid reason that there is no UI item to set the location of cache/profile directories??

I also tried disabling all ad ons, and the used the standard look for ff.

Hello. I'm wondering if this happens only to me, the "Quit Firefox" dialog don't show to provide the options of "save and quit"/"quit"/"cancel". I'm sure enabled the option to warn me when closing multiple tabs and opened more than 1 tab when I close Firefox. This only happen in the latest Firefox 4.0 beta 10, actually I discovered this problem in the nighty build of 4.0 b10, and I hope this will fix in the final b10, but it seems not. I've done a clean install b10 on several machines too, but the results are the same. As a result I roll back to 4.0 b9.

Thunderbird 3.1.7 opens URL links in a browser. With FF4b9 is works the first time to open FF, but if I click on a second URL link within Thunderbird it gives the following error: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." In fact it provokes two error dialogues one after the other. In order to get the URL link to work, I have to close down FF. The URL link then works but still provokes the error dialogue. It is not until the URL link is used a second time that the link doesn't work and I have to close FF.
