I updated and now "Settings" & "Quit" aren't in the ︙menu. They're hidden and I have to swipe up a second time to see them. This interferes with my workflow, as I use "Quit" dozens of times a day and it used to be effortlessly accessible via a single finger flick.
How do disable this hiding of "Setting" and "Quit"? Is there an about:config option I can toggle?
I am using Iceraven-2.23.1 (Build #2016045162), which is based on Firefox for Android and allows all users to use about:config
(If there is no about:config to disable it, let me know the last version before this was changed, and I'll use that instead.)

I now have the problem that I am on a large payment page and switch back and forth between FF and another app (to copy payment-relevant data). Unfortunately, FF does a page refresh every time it is brought back to the foreground from the background. And all the data already entered is lost!
This is a fairly well-known problem with FF on Android! Chromium manages this better and leaves the memory management to Android.
Why can't FF do that? Why can't I switch off this feature?
I can't edit any relevant websites with the FF. I have to use Chrome for that! Hooray!

I've found a solution to the blurriness of the emojis, I've put it in the end of this post, in bold ⤵⤵⤵
My problem is that emojis look bad on Firefox compared to Edge_128.0.2739.79.
Two screenshots are attached of bing.com & a Google Doc (left half of both pictures is Edge, other half Firefox).
The problem persists on all the sites to a varying degree.
Steps to replicate:
A] Open 2 sites in latest Edge & Firefox on Windows 11 (the examples that I've used in the screenshots):
https://www.bing.com/ and an Empty Google Doc.
B] In the search field of bing and in a new line in an empty Google Doc, copy the following example emojis (That were inserted using the 'Windows_Key+V' which summons the emoji Keyboard of Windows): 🏀🚕
C] Compare the quality of the emojis rendering between the browsers when unzoomed and when zooming.
I've tried in FF (to no avail):
A] Disable hardware acceleration in settings (w/ FF restart).
B] Setting "gfx.font_rendering.cleartype_params.rendering_mode" from -5 to 5 (w/ 10+ FF restarts).
C] Setting "gfx.webrender.quality.force-subpixel-aa-where-possible" to true (w/ FF restart).
D] Using both emoji sets in the "Segoe UI Emoji" & "Twemoji Mozilla" fonts in the "font.name-list.emoji" setting, both sets gave me blurry results (w/ FF restarts).
D] Disabling all add-ons (w/ FF restart).
E] Setting new Firefox separate clean install.
F*] In Windows setting the scaling factor to 100% in Windows->System->Display->Scaling_Factor (w/ FF & Windows restart).
How can the blurriness of the emojis be fixed so to make them crystal sharp like in Edge?
Solution:A} Download Noto-Color-Emoji font from https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Color+EmojiEnsure that your are getting the full resolution font (which came at ~23MB as of 2024.09.23)B} Unpack the font and install according to the on screen instructions.C} In FF in "about:config" find the "font.name-list.emoji" setting and rewrite its value field to "Noto Color Emoji, Segoe UI Emoji, Twemoji Mozilla" (w/o the quotations marks).D} I've attached a screenshot w/ the result, It is marked w/ the red writing of font.name-list.emoji on it.

I have had a series fo problems over the last 2 months. All different, but on closer inspection, all connected to recaptcha and login security.
I have not been able to log into my wordpress admin website for 2 months. It just hangs with"Verifying you are not a robot". I can login using Chrome.
Now I have just taken out insurance for my car and have set up a login for my insurance portal - and can't login because "Recaptcha cannot determine that you are a human".
I have searched and found that there was a bug with recaptcha and firefox, but that this was fixed. In any case, this fix did not work for me.
Can anyone please tell me what I should do so that I can login to recaptcha sites?

When I installed Firefox, I struggled to find a theme that was easy for me to see. So many had dark borders/backgrounds or busy backgrounds or transparent. It appears that I'm using the default at present and am happy with everything but the visibility of those little icons. Is there is a way to make them darker? Thanks

If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later
Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)
The site usually loads after I wait like 2-3 mins before reloading the site, or I force reload it around 7 times, but I cannot find a way to make the issue go away. I have refreshed Firefox, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it fresh, I have opened Firefox in Troubleshooting mode and the issue persists. I am at the end of my wits. Someone please give me something else to try.

Hello all,
I am using Cambridge Dictionary regularly. In that site, when I try to listen how a word is spelled in the US, the last part of the word is not spelled. For example, I am trying to learn how to say " strut ", in the UK version, I hear it completely. But for the US version, I hear "stru" with no t sound. This happens for each word and this problem only occurs in Mozilla Firefox both in Android and on Windows. Is there a way to solve this or I will completely stop using Firefox as I need to use this dictionary very regularly.

This video file cannot be played.(Error Code: 102630).
- This is the error i get when i try to play this movie .
Context :
- I upgraded to the latest version of firefox and i also connected my dns to nextdns recently.
- I use arch linux and firefox on linux.
- Previously all the videos on the site were playing nicely but now it has started showing this error.
- I have tried many solutions such as :-
1. Clearing cookies, cache, etc and refreshing firefox .
2. Installing media codecs onto my pc using console.
3. Deactivating the dns and disabling hardware acceleration.
4. Restarting my pc but nothing works.
I was wondering if someone has a solution to this.

I have tried everything ... mime video/ogg doesn't work at all.
I started my old Angular application in which i had my camera feed shown (it was working like year or two ago).
So i tried to fix it, first it seemed it just need "muted" and "autoplay" set as parameters in <video> HTML tag.
But then it just did not worked at all.
Detailed description:
So i have tried use
[CanPlayType]
With params :
"video/ogg" - it returned empty string so it is not supported
However when i check your documentation here
[Ogg containers]
it says it is supported ...
I included picture with working stream
and this is a tag i used:
(+ in angular i added mentioned muted and autoplay + load() and play() )
I have tried to transcode to this formats too
Theora video and Vorbis audio in Ogg container
Then i tried look up some example of code to just see it doesnt work at all
(example of guide with not working video/ogg :
https://tekeye.uk/html/html5-video-test-page
See/search for "3: HTML5 Ogg Video Test" )
Please refer me to bug report or issue report i can provide any additional information.

For years I had my Firefox sync working fine between Win10 PC, Android and several Win10 laptops. However yesterday I installed Windows 11 on the same PC I have Windows 10 (bought new disk) just to have a fresh install.
Started with installing firefox - and here when problems begin. It couldn't let me log in into Sync, I was being immediately logged out ("Account disconnected"). Somehow I managed to log in, but then all my previous data was erased (passwords, bookmarks). I thought ok, maybe later it's gonna sync. Started installing extensions, saved one password. When trying to sync tabs with Android phone it didn't work, it couldn't see any tabs (but it could share tabs between devices!). On Android I still have old passwords and bookmarks saved, same as on old Win10 (on which I got logged out).
Alright - it didn't sync after restart so I removed Firefox profile on machine, started again with logging in - and it synced only ONE password that I saved previously on same Win11 machine, with extensions I freshly installed back then. So it saved to sync improper data, forgetting about old?
Logged out from all of my machines in Firefox Account. Now I'm back to my original machine on Windows 10. And what? I can't log in! Same error as on Win11 after install - "Account disconnected". Checked about:sync-log and found error logs - pasted into "Troubleshooting information" of this post.

Hello dear community!
My firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a tab or close a tab. I can't replicate it since it happens on random tab-closing and tab-opening.
I think it's just crashing when doing something like clicking anywhere and NOT when doing nothing while the system is idling.
Thank you for your help!
