Whenever I have 2 tabs open, Firefox always takes up 2gb of ram. I already turned on minimum memory usage in about:memory and turned off hardware acceleration.

For context, my specs: 8gb ram i5 1240p (integrated graphics)

I know you're meant to use up all of your ram, but I typically have other apps pen to multitask.

I recently got a new computer and when I setup/transfer my email account over the history did not transfer with it. How can i get my history to do this? On my second email address I am now not receiving emails?

I have cleared cookies, cache, temp files, updated, no translation settings are enabled. repaired and even removed and installed Firefox again. When I click on my Google mail quick button or even just type the URL in to get to my mail. The language displayed appears to be Chinese? The URL for the site shows "zh-cn" I'm in the US, no VPN, no proxy.

Additional troubleshooting:

Tested with Chrome and it appears to be working fine.

Hi, we have had to stop using FF as default browser as it has become unfit for purpose. Daily loses all open tabs when reloading and NO, there is no restore tabs option. It frequently does not completely load pages that open ok in safari. And yes, we have tried numerous fixes in setting, et ceteras Any suggestions? thank you.

I'm running Firefox 123.0.1 on Linux Mint 21.2. Something changed after my last update. I visit a number of web sites at which I scroll down a window to a link, click on it to open it, read that link, and then return to the previous page. Examples are news sites like slashdot.org, associated press, or arcamax. Firefox used to return to the place in the original site page where I had clicked on a link. Now, it returns to the top of the original site page, and I have to scroll down again to where I had clicked on a link. I can right click on a link, open a new tab, and then close that tab, but that requires multiple clicks, and I used to just click/click. Is there a way to set up Firefox to go back to the previous behavior? Thanks in advance. ;

Hi All I have firefox 123.0.1 and don't have widevine! my OS is NetBSD 10 what's the best/easy'ish way to add this as channel 4 & 5 UK broadcaster require widevine installed and I can't find in the add-ons widevine!!!!

ever since i was in Portugal, and a repairman needed my phone to access our contract for a car repair, my web pages constantly show up in Portuguese. no matter what i set my page to, and it SHOWS it is set in English, i still keep getting pages opening up entirely in Portuguese..and have to work my way thru to reset it BACK to English.

what  is going on ?

In about:config I set browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true and browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll to true

Now, single clicks in the address bar select the entire URL except when the address bar contains an address provided by New Tab Override. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

So since yesterday I can't use my hotmail/outlook anymore!

I can still use it on other browsers & I can just surf the web just fine. But outlook? Nope. Reading messages work, but they still appear as unread when I go back to my inbox. I can't send an email, cant save drafts or do anything.

Pretty frustrating. What can I do? I updated the browser again, rebooted pc & I also tried deleting cookies

Within the last few days, I've noticed I'm losing functionality in certain online apps through the Firefox browser.

When I'm on Instagram, I can't check direct messages: the function stalls out without resolving.

In Gmail, I'm unable to embed an image in an email. I can attach it like normal, but the embed button doesn't respond.

In Starry AI, I'm unable to use any menu options at all, I'm stuck at being logged into the account and can't logout, check my settings, or request help. I receive this message: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)"

Using the arm64 version of Firefox on a Surface Pro X causes several graphical issues. These issues started either with a update of Firefox or drivers.

What can be done to report this issue and help it getting fixed?

Hi, I am using the newest Mac Air 15" with M3 chip, with the latest version of firefox (123.0.1) I have found an issue where when I put YouTube videos in fullscreen mode, the dock will not disappear like it normally would. The only workaround I've found is to put firefox in actual fullscreen mode (which then makes the dock disappear entirely), but I would prefer not to do as I typically maximize my screen instead. I'm assuming this is a bug on firefox specifically as fullscreen mode for videos/other things works normally in Chrome and Safari (which I also maximize screen), with the dock disappearing as it should.

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this issue though (as everything works fine on my older Mac...) Hopefully this can be resolved soon? I hope this makes sense :")

Before updating Firefox to 123.0.1 (64-bit) + MacOS Sonoma, I could use FIDO2 on OnlyKey and login to my proton mail. Now, however something has changed on Firefox that I get presented with two prompts to touch my usb key, but the key itself doesn't respond to the second prompt and login fails.

I first get this prompt as before. I select 'Authenticate' and would be presented with the second picture. Since my key is not expecting to be touched, nothing happens when I touch it and login fails with the message displayed in the last picture.

Good Afternoon, the FOE Helper extension stopped working properly with its latest update 3.6.2.0, specifically the event assistants. I have rest Firefox and reinstalled the FOE helper extension, still broken. It was working fine until the last update. Any ideas on how to get it working completely again?

I try to synchronize my firefox on my new laptop but it gives 5 minutes to enter the code, the code arrives afer more than 15 minutes.. The help syggests if it not works to use another mail address but I cannot delete the mail adress, every time I want to synchronize the existing mailadress appears with a password field and the adress cannot be changed. Can someone help me to solve this, is there an other way to synchronize?

I set up a Primary Password, but I can easily get around it by clicking 'cancel' then clicking 'home' icon. then I can get into ANY of the links. For others who have access to my computer NOT having that access is Exactly why I set up Primary password in the first place. Surely there must be a way to fix this???? haas2128@comcast.net Thanks. I have installed FF on my new laptop and successfully signed in with my email and password. Based on this success, I have reinstalled FF on my desktop where sign in stopped working a year ago. And it still does not work, it keeps asking for master password. I cannot remove the account. The correct password, that works on the laptop fails to work on the desktop. Refreshing FF keeps one thing: the account. FF keeps bugging me about the master password on the desktop. And it does not accept the correct password.

This entire password handling is a great mess on FF.

What to do?
