On a couple of websites, but in particular Rogers.com, the captcha just never ends. It asks to click on all the bicycles, I click on them one at a time until no more appear, hit verify, it brings up something else. It will do this dozens of times and just never ever end.
Switch over to Edge, does the same. Switched to chrome and it works fine. Has google done something to captcha to deny it working on other browsers?
I have checked to see firefox is up to date and it is. I have disabled all extensions/addons. I have run malware/virus scans. On the Rogers community forums there are all kinds of people having problems but there are no solutions on how to fix. Oddly (or not) the problems are similar...captcha won't work on Edge, Firefox but will work on Chrome.

Hi all Firefoxers,
There are a few sites that I always access via a URL that could look like :
https://device.domain.com/admin/
When I went to visit that device, typing in the URL bar "device.domain..." , Firefox's 1st default suggestion shows as https://device.domain.com/
The problem is that I never visited that site, the way to access this device is https://device.domain.com/admin/ - there's no way to reconfigure the device and have an auto-redirect to .../admin location.
https://device.domain.com/ is not in my Browsing History nor do I have an open-tab. In the settings Privacy->Address Bar, disabling "Browsing History" removes https://device.domain.com/ from the suggestion list but it also removes all suggestion from the history. This is the expected behavior, the bug required fix isn't related to this.
If the "Base URL" isn't saved in the Browsing History, how can someone tell Firefox to only suggest absolute entries from the history?

I set up a website for my wife a while ago. Most recently we noticed that some (not all) of our pages are not shown correctly when we use Firefox as browser. Specifically, when you open a webpage and scroll down as far as you can, there is a certain white area at the very bottom visible, below the footer. Now, if you wait a small amount of time, then scroll a little up and down again, the white border is not longer there and the page appears as it should.
Example pages for this behavior are: https://praxis-weinhold-schattentherapie.eu/entspannung/ https://praxis-weinhold-schattentherapie.eu/praxis/ https://praxis-weinhold-schattentherapie.eu/ueber-mich/
It is not happening e.g. with: https://praxis-weinhold-schattentherapie.eu/unterkuenfte-und-impressionen/ https://praxis-weinhold-schattentherapie.eu/angebote-und-kontakt/ Example screenshots are attached.
This strange behavior cannot be recognized with other browsers, we tried Chrome as well as Edge. Many thanks in advance for any ideas on how to adress this! Best regards Carsten

Is it still possible to configure userChrome.css to have the URL field in the Firefox 'Add bookmark' window? Also, is userChrome.css configuration going to be used no more in future releases? If yes, then how will we be able to customize, for example, fonts in Library, side bar and context menu?

Is it possible to combine history/bookmark files? Firefox has truncated my "History" to 15 days and the only option I see to get elder entries is to combine a backupped history file with the current one. An easy-to-use tool for this task would be welcome. I did not change my config options after the update to 121.0.1 (64-Bit) (Windows 10pro) but I think I had the total history (from years) before the update. My current Options related to this topic are: browser.history_expire_days false places.history.expiration.max_pages false places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages 501234 privacy.clearOnShutdown.history false privacy.history.custom true history (*) Boolean Number String
I already sreened Help files of this Forum concerning lost history data but they all do not give sufficient answers or I do not understand them (as a German user). Thanks. Martin

Checking the box should completely remove the drop box for location, and the entire point is that it should ask you where to save every file, instead of defaulting.

Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml
another post suggested checking the about:config browser.search.region mine says "GB" which would be correct for .co.uk
All other search plugins work fine. Any suggestions?

Hello there. Some months back Firefox decided to block my Dragon NaturallySpeaking extension. This extension is needed so that I can properly control my browser using speech as I have severe repetitive strain injury through typing. The explanation given is that the extension violates some privacy rules that Firefox have put into place.
Whilst I fully appreciate how Firefox is looking out for us, I am really puzzled as to why I do not have the option to say that I am not concerned about this issue and want to continue using the extension. The Dragon NaturallySpeaking software costs several hundred pounds, and it has now been rendered much less effective, which prevents me from working properly in my browser.
I have of course contacted Dragon NaturallySpeaking who just said that they were looking into it, but nothing has been done (presumably I am running a version that they no longer actively support).
Could you please explain to me why it is not possible to allow the users to make an informed decision about whether or not to continue to use an extension? I find it very hard to believe that an extension which is well established as the leading speech recognition software is a serious threat to me?

Shortly after launching, Firefox loads small PDFs very quickly, within 200ms. However, a short while after launch, it starts delaying about five seconds before opening the same, small PDFs, whether they are on disk or fetched via the network, and regardless of whether they are cached locally or downloaded. I've examined the performance profile of the slow loads, but I'm not sure what to look for.
Restarting the browser reliably makes PDF loads snappy again, but the effect doesn't last very long, less than an hour before the five second delay returns.
I've seen this behavior on all PDFs, but here are two examples:

So I enabled push notifications for Google Calendar. Every time there's a notification, Google Calendar ask if I want to enable "Switch to this tab" for their notifications. I accidentally turned it on, then I managed to turn it off. Except it now keep asking me if I want to enable it.
Looking at the settings, the only two options available are "Always ask" and "Yes", with no way of just saying no... why?

Firefox stopped working with my VPN on when I updated my OS to Sonoma, yesterday. I use PIA for my VPN.
I have done the following, so far, restarting my system several times between trying these things:
Checked that internet connection and modem are fine. All pages load in Safari, with VPN running, but I prefer Firefox.
Checked the Network settings for my Mac. Ensured that No Proxy was selected.
Cleared my Firefox cookies, cache and history.
Tried running in troubleshooting mode, turning off all extensions.
Tried turning off Advanced Tracking Protection, which I usually run on Custom.
Refreshed Firefox.
Finally, I turned off my VPN and, viola, all sites work. Turned it back on, and can’t navigate, again. For instance, I tried to open YouTube, and got a blank screen. Turned off VPN, and got to main YouTube page. Turned the VPN on and tried to log in…nope. Turned it off and logged in. Turned it back on and tried to open a video….nope. Turned it off and opened the video…etc., etc..
I very much wish to continue using both Firefox and my VPN. Can you suggest a course of action? Thank you for any advice you can give!!

This problem occurs on My wife's and my machines. My wife has a printer. I do not. When we try to print the preview shows only a few lines or at best a half page. Even if we want to print multiple pages that's all that shows up. We have "print all" as the default setting. The problem started about a month ago. I think it has something to do with the newer versions of Firefox.

I have a home-built media center (OS: Linux Mint 20.3) utilizing Firefox as the primary browser. This system has run almost flawlessly for many years. Updated to 20.3 in early 2022. Rather suddenly (yesterday) Firefox began repeatedly crashing, displaying 'Mozilla Crash Reports' (example attached). Firefox appears to initiate as expected. However, on display (e.g., Youtube, Facebook, web page, etc.) request, Firefox immediately throws a 'Mozilla Crash Report'. I do not recall any changes to the system that might have generated this condition, and have spend most of today unsuccessfully troubleshooting.
MB: Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H CPU: AMD A-10 5800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics OS: Kernel: 5.4.0.170 generic x86_64bits; on 128MB SSD Firefox for Linux Mint mint-001 - 1.0 (122.0 (64 bit)) RAM: 7 GB
I have attempted to follow some of the moz://a Support pages (i.e., "Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems"). I have noted that while in 'Troubleshooting mode', Firefox appears to behave as expected, seeming to implicate extensions, themes and/or hardware acceleration. However, under normal Firefox operation enabling/disabling these does not seem to resolve the issue.
* Hardware acceleration (on or off) still results in display of 'Mozilla Crash Report',
* Default theme is selected, and
* I don't appear to have any unaccounted extensions or other addons enabled.
Any thoughts and/or additional guidance would be greatly appreciated.
