Firefox locks up on various websites on the Pixel 6a and will cause the phone is restart, although not always immediately. I've seen a post on Reddit with others having the same issue on the Pixel 6a.

Linux Firefox updates frequently, and whenever it does the preferred Search Engine is changed back to google. How do I prevent that happening? Even better, how do I remove google permanently from the list of possible search engines?

Twitter Video Streaming in Firefox on an older computer (Windows 7) does not work. The videos don't play (just audio). I logged into my same Twitter account on Chrome on the same computer and Twitter video streaming worked perfectly. Please fix the disparity.

My Proton Mail package requires java be active. When I am browsing with Mozilla browser I am frequently re-directed to a page not requiring java. No Video with Supported format and MIME type found is not allowing me to play videos on website.

No idea what's the cause of it, I've tried everything from internet tips how to solve this.

Since changing to a new monitor and running at 1440p, the menus and url bar are in tiny mouse print. The searching I've done so far seems to point to an update removing user control to change the font size on those items. I've adjusted settings and the pages are fine, but the two things I mentioned are almost unreadable. How can I increase the font size there?

When site asks for verification code - I copy it from email into web site. The code is not recognized. Does Firefox keep changing my computer's address? Using Win 10. I have uninstalled/reinstalled FF several times. System keeps crashing. What's happening Me novice, 78yrs old etc.

In my newsletter subscription options, I did NOT checked the "Firefox Account Tips" option but I keep receiving mail saying this : "You're receiving this email because [edited] @gmail.com has a Firefox account and is subscribed to Firefox Account Tips."

Could you please fix this issue so that I don't receive these mails anymore ?

While doing some virus discovery tests with Windows Defender and other AV products I realized that with Firefox files are not scanned when download finishes. With Chrome and Edge the Windows Defender immediately checks and blocks malicious files. Not so with Firefox. Then the file is only checked and blocked when opened.

After some research I found that in the past there was an Option `browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone` but this seems no longer available. Under Security software in about:support Windows Defender seems to be correctly set.

Is there a way to have files immediately checked by the AV after download in Firefox completes?

I recently Upgraded to a new Mac. I updated the software to Ventura 13.0.1. Followed the Migration package as suggested by Apple. Process appeared to work well with a few exceptions. One being the subject of this question. I use the buttons on the home screen a lot. A while back I made each button use the website logo. Now I have lost those icons which were replaced by the first initial of the site. can someone help on this?

Google with Captcha is killing Firefox.

Captcha constantly comes up in Firefox and stalls browsing.

Not as much of an issue with Google Chrome.

Often stuck for ages entering Captcha nonsense in Forefox.

What can Firefox people do about this crap?

A msg. suddenly appeared at the top of my ff general settings page saying "your organization is managing your browser". Upon clicking on it it appears that Chrome has taken over most of my ff settings and disabled some of them. I have NO organization; I am retired and have a personal computer that only I use for personal things. I have run numerous anti malware programs that have found nothing. I have restored the computer to a much earlier time. I chose Firefox, NOT Chrome. Please help me get rid of this. And please don't assume I have knowledge as I am old and not very computer literate so if you could use simple terms I can understand that would be much appreciated. If no help, what can I do next to get some. Thank you I am using Windows 7 home premium on an older Dell business machine.

I run Firefox Developer Edition.

I recently added some lines to my hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts). Despite these additions, Firefox ignored the hosts file and loaded the pages I had blocked just fine. So I tried a multitude of options like disabling "Enable DNS over HTTPS" and eventually I got to work and the hosts file was respected.

So after thinking about it for awhile, I actually DO want Firefox to ignore the hosts file like it did before I made the change. I reverted the "Enable DNS over HTTPS" setting to its default of enabled, and I've tried everything else I can think of, but I just can't get it to work.

How can I configure Firefox to ignore the system HOSTS file and load blocked pages anyway?
