It bypasses my DNS when I turn it on and I don't want that to happen. I want this PC to never be able to turn it on again. That probably isn't possible, but I gotta ask. In the meantime: how do I use LinuxMint's firewall to ban the usage of the VPN?

Also: can the firefox devs make that an option? To have the option to never turn it on again?

Firefox icon issue

There are two websites. On my PC, one of them displays its icons correctly everywhere: on tabs, in Firefox Suggest, and in the browsing history. However, the other website only displays its icon on tabs.

On my phone, the situation is reversed: the website that displays its icons correctly on my PC doesn't show them on my phone, while the website whose icon only appears on tabs on my PC displays its icons correctly on my phone.

I've tried various solutions on my PC, including removing the website from my browsing history and creating a new favicon file, but the problem persists.

I started to try free 50GB a month Firefox VPN to use the website in Japan (free TV programs only available in Japan but are allowed to watch through VPN). It was working for about a month but now it seems to be blocked. I tried suggested troubleshooting like clearing cash, quitting and opening Firefox, closing VPN, changing location setting and back to Japan etc. Is it because free? It was working when I was subscribing NordVPN. So, it's not the website issue. I would like to know why it is not working now. Thank you

Amazon prime video won't fully load. I've tried everything, shutting off everything, dumping the cache. It fully loads on chrome. This is new since the latest firefox update... what is happening?

I use earbuds to listen to the audio on my desktop computer via Bluetooth. I have a number of pairs of earbuds plus hearing aids. Recently this feature just stopped working one day. I've used Troubleshoot and haven't found a fix yet. I know how to pair to Bluetooth, etc. The number of settings in Firefox and Win 10* that might affect bluetooth are mind-boggling. Anyone have any ideas? Please?

My computer won't run Win 11. Telling me to get a new computer is not helpful, I'm afraid. Appreciate all suggestions! :) Kathy

I am back again with the same issue that I presented on the forum post three months ago. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594903?utm_campaign=questions-reply The difference is now it is happening on Firefox v157.0.1;everything else is identical. Qubes os R4.3.2 with Firefox 157.0.1 in a Fedora 44 xfce VM. To recap I open one window for Proxmox Datacenter Manager and as soon as I click to sign in Firefox completely disappears. I can open this in Chromium browser and Firefox ESR v.140.17.0 esr perfectly fine. Please consult the original post for all I did to troubleshoot this. I am working with the esr version now but would like to help put this issue to bed. Community members stepped up last time to help me so I am here to do my small part for others. Something happens to the edge definition and visual artifacts are introduced to signatures added via images to Firefox to sign documents. I've tested both .jpg and .png image signatures and regardless of source file format, these artifacts and edge definition gets mangled.

Recently downloaded an update to Firefox and installed it. Now it says I have a new recovery key but I can seem to get it to show me the key. There is a link that I found that says: View Recovery Key, but when I click on it, nothing happens. I would have expected that it would have revealed the key and I could then save it for later use if needed.

I assumed so because my longest hang time would end up being ten minutes, which was the first time, never got past 5 minutes afterwards. Fast forward to now, it has been a few weeks since I used my pc due to general life business, so I had to turn it on, firefox opens, hang takes FIFTY MINUTES. I have also had to restart firefox several times due to missing updates and each and every hang time has taken a MINIMUM half an hour, and this is before giving up and closing the window on many instances. I have been sat here trying to do anything in firefox for over five hours now. The ONLY excuse that I can make up is the main reason I'm at my pc is because it needs updates and is currently downloading updates, so that is using a lot of my disc (I'm on an HDD if that's important), however it shouldn't take nearly an HOUR to use firefox for like a minute and then take ANOTHER hour simply due to hang time. I have also checked task manager and Firefox is using very little cpu (0%-2% at most) and not a lot of ram (initial hangs were down to ~50 mb, now it's around 300). The only thing I can think of is that the issue could be with the history file being corrupted, but since I have that synced with a mobile device, i don't know what that would do, nor do I want to lose my history, but otherwise i am at a loss and need more advice.

About 4-6 weeks ago Chase started throwing an error message when I tried to log in. Some other banks, credit agencies, brokerage houses also same thing. The work with Chrome and Edge.

Can Mozilla get past this or do I give up and use a predatory browser?
